“I have seen the very nature of this world you cling so tightly to. You think it is bright, vibrant, a place of light and life, but that is naught but an illusion. Underneath the sight of mortals, there is only darkness, dust, and death.”
Once again, The Blessed Lands have been thrown into turmoil and war. But this is no war of pride or territory, now, they fight only to preserve their own existence. The entire island of Enris, jewel of the archipelago, is besieged by a monstrous horde. Towns, cities, the holy sites of the Gods themselves have been left to rot as the bizarre creatures spread across the land. Only the Capital itself, Thaeron, has managed to remain unconquered. Even as the rest of the island lies in ruin, refugees, devotees, and good samaritans alike flock to the city, either to escape Enris... Or save it.
Valiantly, those who have come to the aid of Enris have fought off hordes of Undead. Everyday more land is reclaimed, and people sleep just a little more soundly. Now they turn their eyes to the lost city of Concord, in hopes that reclaiming the city will bring them a step closer to the end of conflict.

Who are we?
We are a community of roleplayers going on four years now. Our community started in 2012 with God of Kings. Since then, Silver gaming has created: Silver Age, The Book of Halegron, Shrines of the Ancients, The Anerian Chronicles, and The Wayward Ones; each more ambitious and complex than the last. Now, let us introduce you to our newest server: From the Ashes.
Our server is geared towards the dedicated roleplayers; those who enjoy an interesting player-driven story, and how it develops. We want the players to be a major influence in the decision making on the server, as well as having ultimate control of where the story leads. Our experienced Staff will be setting up events and such to progress the story and reveal more about the world, but it’s up to the players to decide what to do based on the information they have. Although some of the more important leadership positions will be initially controlled by staff, there are many opportunities for players to decide who they want to lead them. Revolts, assassinations, and wars are all possibilities for switching leadership. Here, the players have the power, and more than they did in any of our previous servers (or other roleplaying servers throughout the Minecraft community). With the mechanics we are implementing, the players will have more power to shape their own destiny.
We’ve been working on this server for almost a year now, to ensure that our players get the best possible roleplaying experience. Unlike other servers, we are not strictly an RPG server; the emphasis is placed entirely on the roleplay and your characters. However, we have ensured that there is a strong custom mechanical foundation that supports diversity in what players can do
Lore
Sitting South-West of the mainland rests an archipelago known as The Blessed Lands. One such island in this strand of pearls, Enris, is where our story begins. Being the largest of the islands, Enris is known for its diverse landscape. From golden beaches to snow laden mountaintops, it certainly provides an ample variety of sights to see.
Though Enris has been called home to many, others foreign to its shores often call it the Holy Land, being that it is home to several famous sites of worship for the Pantheon of Deities..
Pantheon of Deities at the dawn of time sought to create a world of structure and natural law. Once the very world we walk upon was established, the Deities dotted the land with new life, bringing for the age of us who roam the land, soar the winds, and dive the depths. Sadly, it was a Utopia that could not last. For what the Deities did not see was the imperfect in their construction. It was because of its flawed design that the first Undead scourge rose up from the grave.
Lead by a force unknown to man, the Undead scourge threatened to destroy not only Enris, but surely their numbers would soon encompass the world. In the world's darkest hour one man chose to stand above depravity, and his name was Thaer.
Rising up to the challenge, Thaer rallied the races and began to fight back with great success. Though the campaign was successful, there was no end of the Scourge in sight.
And so it was that Thaer sought to meet with the Gods, in order to find an end to the Undead scourge. With one final assault, Thaer himself fought his way to meet with the Pantheon. It was on that day that the Pantheon anointed Thaer as brethren, and he ascended from this plane, his power so radiant that the Undead Scourge was vanquished.
That was 900 years ago, and once again Enris is in danger. In recent years, the Undead scourge has mysteriously risen yet again, and with devastating force much of the island has been claimed. With the mainland preparing for war in the East, it is up to the people of Enris to save their home. Will they succeed, or will the Holy Land finally plunge into darkness?
Recent Events:
Even before the undead plagued the land of Enris, the dynamic between King Harrick Glenmonte II and his vassals was troublesome. The three vassals respected the King, but envied each other’s territory. Although this never led to civil war, when the undead first attacked Land’s End, only the King mobilized to defend the realm. The King sent his eldest son and heir, as well as half of Thaeron’s garrison, to crush the incursion before it built up speed. At the same time, reports came from Aemon’s hall that undead forces were converging from the north. Taking his second and youngest son, and a quarter of Thaeron’s garrison, he traveled to Concord to meet up with his Vassal’s army there. However, barely a quarter of Concord’s garrison had been summoned. King Glenmonte was told that it would take time for the rest of Concord’s garrison to mobilise.
Angered by the blatant lack of urgency, the King took the combined force and marched towards Aemon’s hall. When the King arrived, Aemon’s hall was under siege by a large undead horde. The front gates remained sealed, but Undead were violently seeking another way into the city. However, soon, the gates were wrenched open, and the Undead flooded into the city. The King could only watch on in horror as the Halfmen defenders were cut down, even as his army struggled to make its way through the massive horde outside the city. He eventually called a retreat, but the King’s son saw this as a cowardly strategy and would not abandon Aemon’s Hall. Taking half of the army, he disobeyed his father and fought his way into the city. Realizing this, the King quickly rushed into the city to save his son. There, he witnessed his army and his own son being devoured by the undead.
The King retreated, and sent his remaining forces to quarantine the undead inside the city. He sent a crow to Concord begging for reinforcements. The King and his men were able to contain the undead near the city for three days, and no reinforcements came. At last, the quarantine was breached and the King retreated back to Concord, where the garrison was just then leaving for Aemon’s hall. Remaining collected, the King ordered defenses to be constructed and the city fortified. However, a crow came back with news of his elder son’s death, as well as the destruction of his army. Grieving over the loss of both his sons, the King became sickly and depressed, and was sent back to Thaeron. Concord held for two months. With his vassals destroyed, and only a quarter of the garrison remaining in Thaeron, the King sent a plea for help to the mainland.
That was six months ago, and no help came. War in the East seems inevitable, and so the mainland has been preparing for that. The people of Enris are on their own. Any action against this threat is in the hands of those who choose to stand and fight. Our cities have been overrun, our comrades slain, our hearts wounded. Who then, are you? Have you come to follow in the footsteps of the legendary Thaer? Do you seek to make a new life here on Enris? The hour is grim but our victory could start here… It could start with you.
Races:
During the application process, you will pick one of the races listed here.
Humans- The most populous of all mortal races, humans can be found virtually everywhere. By their accounts, they were crafted at the hands of the Gods and humbled in their honor, in contrast to the Elven idea that they are simple, brutish biological accidents. Life Expectancy: 100.
Elves- Tall and slender, elves are thought to be the most magically adept of all mortals, and many have made great contributions to the understanding of magic and the arcane. There are Elves that have been known to live up to 1,000 years, however, with the combined forces of natural longevity and magic. Though magic dramatically increases the number of years an elf can live, it does not necessarily improve the quality of those years, and particularly ancient Elves almost resemble corpses, their age taking much from them. [Age ratio is 1:2.5, a 10 year old human is equal to a 25 year old elf.]
Drow- Shadow Elves. Underfolk. Monsters. The Drow have been called many names, none of them quite able to accurately describe them. As an entirely new race, the most recent of them all, Drow are regarded by suspicion by all peoples. Being twisted versions of the elven kind, they have a general disdain towards the arcane. They worship and perform rituals to a being known as “The Weaver” who is given credit for creating their race.[Age ratio is 1:1.5, a 10 year old human is equal to a 15 year old drow.] Life Expectancy: 140.
Halfmen- Short and stout, Halfmen were once looked down upon as freaks and funnymen, until a time where they banded together and set out apart from the demeaning eyes of their overlords. Commonly known as Dwarfs, Little People, and Imps - though don't let them hear you calling them that. Defined by their lack of height, bulky builds, and hardy constitution, halfmen are always out to prove that “Any job a man can do, a halfman can do better, with less whining!” [Age ratio is 1:1.2, a 10 year old human is equal to a 12 year old halfman.] Life Expectancy: 120.
Savages- Hideous beings, of mottled, sickly-green to ashen-grey skin, descended from Humans. These people were shaped by the God Rhyfel, whom most Savages name their chief deity. They have a name that they use amongst themselves, but the rest of the world only knows the name that they will allow them to use, Savages. Savages do not live past the age of 40, not only due to their proclivity for violence, but because their bodies began to rapidly break down at that point. Most hardly make it to their thirties before seeking out death, to avoid the painful process of dying due to age. Magic does not prolong the lifespan of Savages. These people are looked down upon and feared by most every race due to past conflicts. Savages can be found within civilized societies as Mercenaries, Guards, Arcanists, and Horsemasters.[Age ratio is 2:1, a 10 year old human is equal to a 5 year old Savage.] Life Expectancy: 40.
If you’re curious, more information about the races can be found here: link
Languages:
Everybody starts out with Caro + one they pick based on their race/their national origin, if you take Linguist you can take 2 more languages.
Caro - “Common” tongue, language of the Cordolan continent.
Savage - Forlorn language, but also spoken by outcasts, exiles and wanderers.
Allani - Language spoken by the peoples of Allan.
Wild Elven - Language of the nomadic elves. A mutation of the language of the Ancients.
Arturan - Language of the civilized elves.
Runic - Language of the Halfmen, it has been slowly dying off for centuries.
Mistspeak - Backwater dribble of the hicks in The Mistlands.
Deities:
The major Gods who govern specific aspects of life. As you progress through FTA, you will have the ability to learn all about them, and if you are so inclined, embrace their teachings and the divine magics they bring…
Rhyfel- Patron deity of soldiers and warriors.
Saviesa- Goddess of Wisdom, Knowledge, and everything in between.
Pridans- God of advisors, counselors, and strategists.
Elska- Patron of laborers and crafters, as well as the Goddess of kindness and simple hard work.
Thaer- The ascended human. Followers of Thaer are adept slayers of the undead known as the Faithful, who are recruited from a very young age.
Magic:
The lands of Cordolan are no stranger to supernatural occurrences. Ardent worship of the gods has been known to grant followers and priests the ability to perform miracles relating to those gods’ portfolios. For example, followers of Rhyfel call upon their faith to fuel them in battle while followers of Elska patiently work the land with the love of their Goddess. A second form of magic exists as well, though it is considered uncivilized, unnatural, and all around less pleasant than Divine magic. Some also consider the bard’s tricks “magic” as they inspire others to new heights, but it’s debatable the degree to which this is truly magical in nature.
Important Persons:
Even in the aftermath of the Scourge, there are still a few important people kicking around... A few. Many perished in the struggle against the Undead, and are remembered fondly by those who remain.
King Harrick Glenmonte II - King of Enris, though not for long. He is old and sickly, and with both of his sons dead, his dynasty will most certainly meet an end. The fate of the realm is uncertain with his death surely approaching in the coming years, months, or even weeks. A kind, just man, well-liked by his subjects, few men could be holding together the Kingdom as well as he.
Prince Lawrence Glenmonte - First born son of King Harrick, died leading troops in the field against the undead outside of Thaeron.
Prince Devon Glenmonte - Second born son of King Harrick, died while leading troops fleeing from Aemon’s Hall after losing the battle and a sizeable portion of the Enrisien Army, commanded by his Uncle, Ryan Glenmonte, who was killed during that initial fighting. The fleeing Army was caught only one-third the way to Thaeron, and it was here that Devon was slain. Four men managed to escape to Thaeron.
Ryan Glenmonte - Brother of King Harrick, one of the leading generals in the nation’s army, killed in battle at Aemon’s Hall against the undead.
Queen Lisbet Glenmonte - Married to King Harrick and Mother of Princes Lawrence and Devon Glenmonte, died of an illness long before recent events.
Nestor de Svello - Once a prominent Chemist, for many years he lived alone as Lord of Land’s End with his son Morgan de Svello, until the latter abandoned his scientifically-minded father, due to his mad pursuit of a cure for the undead curse. As a result of his experiments, as well as the undead breaking into his laboratory at an inopportune time, he was reduced to a shambling husk, wandering the ruined remains of his castle.
Ser Donton Potter - Knight and ruler of a small knightly-hold guarding the mountain pass into Land’s End, a key strategic position in the past, though not nearly as important today. Granted the holding along with his Knighthood many, many years ago when he was but a young man, Ser Donton is now old and infirm. Other rulers have taken notice of this, and with strings pulled, Lords and peoples of high importance are able to send off undesirables as squires to Ser Donton, where they will never achieve knighthood and forever live out their days in the old fool’s service. With the undead menace upon them, Ser Donton has decided it more important the mountain pass be held then it is to protect the people in Land’s End. His age clearly clouding his judgement and skewing his grip on reality, he and his squires are left to hole up in Holdfast and guard the pass. One squire did break his service to Ser Donton and ventured to Land’s End, though he never returned.
Nicholas Granger - The King’s Steward and the Lord Mayor of Concord, he ruled over both the rich and the poor as a generous patron of anything and everything. Considered the most respected person in all of Concord, if not the entire island, he was a man of great wealth and influence. When the first reports of the undead came in, Nicholas ordered the fortification of his palace, so as to protect his family. When the undead attacked, he chose his family over his people, and locked himself and his retinue in his palace, abandoning the people be ruled. When the people of Concord realized this, they assaulted the Granger’s palace, leading to a three-way battle between the citizens of Concord, the Granger’s guards, and the undead. With Joanna Granger, his wife, and Lisbeth Granger, his eldest daughter, overwhelmed by the undead, Nicholas barricaded himself in the top room of his house and commit suicide by breaking his own neck, ensuring he would not join the endless ranks of the undead.
Joanna Granger - Wife of Nicholas Granger, she is a large woman who is well experienced in the life of soldiering. She was overwhelmed by the undead as she tried to repel both the undead and the citizens of Concord from her family’s palace.
Lisbeth Granger - The eldest daughter of Nicholas Granger, like her mother, she is much bigger than the average man and has even trained in the military academy of Aemon’s Hall. She was zombified when she tried to lead a unit of the guard to barricade the broken palace gate.
L’anna Granger - The youngest daughter of Nicholas Granger, she died from a well aimed arrow while trying to defend the Granger’s palace from the initial citizen’s attack.
Angan Bronzefist - The only example of a non-human Lord in Enris, the dwarf Angan inherited the throne of Aemon’s Hall at the tender age of fifty, untested by the world. He almost immediately proved to be a disinterested Lord, leaving the majority of running the Hall to his, admittedly more competent, advisors. Angan was, as it turned out, far more interested in leisure than running the state, never accomplishing anything remarkable. The Undead threat began when he was around ninety, and unfortunately, he decided to take part in strategizing the defense against the Undead. Against the advice of his council, he proposed that he would trap the Undead forces inside the Hall itself, and, having surrounded them, would order the army to close in and slaughter the beasts from all sides. This, of course, proved disastrous, and the King was forced to send in troops to quarantine the city. Angan produced no official heirs and did not marry, though he had a litany of illegitimate lovers and children. The Lord was slaughtered as the Undead broke into his chambers. They did not leave enough of a body to come back.
Nations
The Cordolan Confederation-
While the server takes place on the Island of Enris, you are encourage to pick a nationality out of the following:
The larger power that Enris has sworn fealty to. The Confederation has become the leading power in the Mainland’s political climate after a series of pre-emptive defence alliances were formed to oppose any aggressions from the Bheille Empire to the east.
Enris-
The Kingdom of Enris consists of the main island of Enris, as well as the surrounding islands in the archipelago. It is the birthplace of man, according to legend and religious doctrine, as well as the oldest Human Kingdom in all the world. It is home to the site of Thaer’s ascension, along with many other sites of religious significance. As such, many of the people here hold Thaer and the other Gods dear. The Kingdom of Enris today is small in comparison to the other Kingdoms of man which have branched off from it, and with recent events, especially weak, with the Undead plaguing the land. Many have died or fled the country, and every settlement has since been razed, save for Thaeron, where any remaining have evacuated to. People from all over the Cordolan Confederation are flocking to defend Enris at the very moment.
Enris is home to four major cities... Though, by this point, only one still stands. Thaeron, Concord, Aemon's Hall, and Land's End. Thaeron is the foremost among these. Built in the year 207 in worship of Thaer, the city soon grew and became the jewel of the Archipelago. Right now, there are several efforts to revitalize the population of Thaeron, as many refugees are fleeing to Cordolan, leaving their homes behind.
Concord: city of sin. A deceptively simple title, but then, everything about Concord was deceptive. Before being burnt to a crisp by rioters and Undead, Concord was the place to go in order to get what you wanted... No matter how illegal. The poor made up the largest part of the population, living in cramped, multistory huts near the docks. In the end, however, even the people of the city of sin couldn't outfox the Undead, and perished in the flames.
Aemon's Hall was the last, great beacon of Halfman culture... And now lies in ruin. An apt metaphor for the future of the Halfmen. Once a great cultural and mining center that utilized Ancient technology, the Hall was the only settlement to be ruled over by a non-human lineage: the Bronzefists. Angan, last of his line due to his folly, foolishly let the Undead into his city to surround them. Unfortunately, the plan failed spectacularly, and the people of Aemon's Hall were slaughtered to a man. The imposing gates of the Hall were dragged shut, and now nobody knows what dark deeds go on behind them.
Land's End, last, and what some would certainly call least. This city belongs both to the ocean and land, and it shows. Many of the houses rested on precarious stilts, barely managing to keep out of the briny waters. The people, to their credit, managed to survive and farm in such salty conditions... But even their hardiness did not protect them when the first Undead staggered out of the swamp. Land's End was the first city to be taken, and by this point, many of the houses have simply sank into the swamp. Some do not believe it to be worth saving, but if the rumors about Nestor de Svello (lord of Land's End) are true, there may be value yet hidden beneath the swamp.
Drunn-
Kingdom of the Halfmen, it is almost entirely underground, save for above ground ore deposits which are mined by the bravest among them. Where no one else could find a home in this desolate world, the Halfmen found one underneath it. The tunnels underneath the desolate, grassless surface stretch all over Cordolan.
Much like Drunn, it is located in the rocky North, and in such a harsh environment, the people have become as cold as the constantly bad weather. The people of Norland are descended from fierce raiders exiled to the wintry shores, and it shows. Whether on the high seas or off, Norlanders express hardiness in all parts of life. However, living in such a barren land changes people. Those who have remained in Norland for most of their life become hard, willing to make the tough choices that few others can bring themselves to make.
The “Breadbasket of Cordolan,” Beschwall produces the vast majority of the Confederation’s crops. Idyllic fields of wheat seem to stretch on forever, and one can easily travel for days without seeing an end to the fields. However, even a peaceful nation such as this has its problems, with avalanches in the northern mountains, or wild bands of Savages stealing crops.
Capital province on the Confederation, and seat of the Emperor of Man. The Emperor of Man claims to have divine right to rule over humans everywhere, as the line is (distantly) descended from Thaer’s family line, though not from Thaer himself. Most human nations, with the exceptions of the Mistlands and Norland, generally defer to the Emperor’s direction in Confederation matters. Notably, they have agreed to import massive amount of grain to the Crownlands, for extremely low prices, due to the Crownlands’ mind-boggling population size.
A land where over each hill is certainly another bog, and past each bog, another hill, and every resident lives their lives seeing no more than a quarter mile in front of themselves at any given time, and this is only on a clear day. Settlements are spread few and far between in the moors of The Mistlands, and this isolation is reflected on the infrastructure of the land and its people, many of whom are illiterate. They are often seen as the laughing stocks and filth of the Confederation, but very few Mistlanders travel outside of their Kingdom to know, which spares any hurt feelings (or conflicts).
A port nation that is often the go-between for other nations to export their goods all over the Confederation. It’s a stop for many ships coming from nations such as Arturan, either to unload goods or rest before headed to Drunn or Enris. Rinion is a proud melting pot, integrating the trappings of other cultures into their day-to-day life. Any time spent in a Rinion port city is bound to be an interesting one, for better or worse. Their military navy is small but potent, however, it is the Rinion fleet of merchant ships that span the entire Confederation.
St.Jessica-
While there is no such thing as an official central church, St. Jessica comes the closest. The most prestigious religious scholars from all of Cordolan call St. Jessica their home, and have all their needs provided for by the small country’s government, in return for their service and guidance. St. Jessica is a place filled with many, many gorgeous vistas, be they the awesome waterfalls which come crashing down on all the Capital’s sides, which is located upon a glassy lake in a singularly deep basin, or exquisitely carved statues of religious figures made at great expense.
Forezzie-
Like much of the heartland and southern reaches of the continent, the lands are fertile and rich, and very desirable. For centuries, the first human invaders fought the elves tooth and nail to carve out their own kingdoms, where by the end every conqueror had their own squat of land over the expanse of Forezzie, Oddonwall, and Southern Beschwall. At the heart of these newly conquered lands, arguably some of the richest, there were still numerous counts, barons, mayors, and petty kings. It was not until the Confederation that the lands were unified under one banner and grouped into the Kingdom of Forezzie, an elective monarchy where all nobles have their vote, and all are in the running, though only the most powerful of nobles are serious candidates. The election upon death of the King is only for the title. All lands belonging to the current king are treated as the federal ones, and the ones from where the Kingdom will be administered. To this day, the many nobles of Forezzie continue their plotting and scheming.
Oddonwall-
With Mezenia on one side and their rival Forezzie on the other, the people of Oddonwall have always lived uneasily, tending to their land, never knowing if it would be taken away from them. Their rulers have often attempted to war for territory, but time and time again Oddonwall was repelled. Recently, Oddonwall’s nobility was utterly stripped of power in a violent coup, and a radical form of pure democracy has been implemented. The other nations regard the new government uneasily, but it has been recognized as legitimate by the Confederation.
Mezenia-
No one region of Cordolan has been the reception of so much speculation and scrutiny as Mezenia. Even the name itself is a mystery, stemming from an Ancient word. Perhaps it is the area’s singularly unique climate that makes it so fascinating. Hot, humid, and host to both extreme dry seasons and periods of unending rains, Mezenia is not a place for the meek or average. The wildlife is similarly astounding, most of them possessing plumes of bright colour or pelts of singular smoothness, a contrast to their sharp beaks and vicious fangs. The only people in this land of extremes are poor farmers on the west border, on the edge of the jungle, and various Pirate hideouts on Mezenia’s sandy eastern beaches. A few wild Elven tribes have been spotted in the jungle, but never approached.
Arturan-
Perhaps the most compelling argument for the superiority of Elves over other races is their nation of Arturan. Travellers to it have reported it as a true paradise, where the concerns of life do not seem to ever visit. The idyllic lifestyle of Arturan elves comes at a great cost, and that is the complete and utter lack of individual freedom. Each aspect of society is meticulously micromanaged by its ruler, a faceless Arcanist known only as The Superior. He, or she, is an Elf from a wealthy, magically talented family that has ruthlessly managed to secure their position behind The Superior’s placid mask. Arturan, though lacking in personal freedom, does allow for immense personal expression. Indeed, many claim it to be the intellectual center of Cordolan itself, an artistic and scientific powerhouse that consistently produces astounding creations.
Horizon-
The edge of civilization. Gently rolling hills, clear rivers, and fertile fields are the images conjured up by the name of Horizon. And yet, despite its astounding natural resources, Horizon remains one thing: empty. Indeed, the area is more commonly referred to as Forlorn lands, due to its lack of populace. The reason for the hilly lands’ emptiness are the divided Savage tribes that populate the region. Only a single Savage tribe recognizes the Confederation, and is as seen as the “official government” in the region. It’s a mere farce, and everyone knows it.
Alann literally translates to “The Plateau”. Much of the territory is comprised of endless desert and the occasional set of cliffs. Sources of water are, as one could guess, few and far in between. To make matters worse, Alann directly borders both the Bheille Empire and Forlorn lands. However, these militaristic people, descended from travellers from across the Wastes, have managed to fend off both, and set up their own society. From the very top of the social ladder to the bottom, the people of Alann live and breathe combat. Service in the military is mandatory for all able citizens, and those that seem unable are given jobs in non-combat areas. Men, women, children, the elderly- if you can be taught to swing a sword, you will be. The military is set up in such a fashion that the citizens are constantly rotating in and out of it, meaning that there is never a shortage of laborers, merchants, or other key workers.

Rules
Be respectful of the server, other players, and the staff
Do not make offensive/racist remarks
Do not use profanities of any sort on the server or on our forums. In character, “Frak” may be used as a basic expletive.
While on the server, stay in character as much as possible
Do not advertise other servers
Do not troll/grief/spam etc.
Do not “Powergame”. This is where you force RP onto someone else, without giving them an opportunity to respond. An example would be “Chops off head” instead of “Swings axe at head”.
Do not landscar. This means don’t go making the map look less awesome. An example of what NOT to do would be digging random 1x2 tunnels in walls. Seriously man, not cool.
Do not “Metagame”. This means you should not use out-of-character (OOC) knowledge when playing as your character. An example would be having your guard character giving brewing advice to the local Herbalist. Even if OOC you know what ingredients make what potion, that doesn’t mean your character does. Metagaming also includes letting IC information be known to everybody OOC.
Roleplay your character’s actions reasonably. No crazy running up walls, shooting fireballs, cloning yourself, turning into a werewolf or the like. You need Lore explanations for things like this. Don’t go pestering Admins or Loremasters about allowing your super-character. You may, however, reasonably suggest additional lore elements in the Suggestion Box.
When in the local chat channel, speak primarily in character. Any OOC things you must say should have double parentheses ((A)) put around them. There is also the OOC channel and private messaging to handle out of character conversations.
Not a rule, but HIGHLY SUGGESTED. Use proper spelling and grammar; in this thread, in your app, and on our site. This alone does a lot to shape how people perceive you. Roleplay is about communication, and you need to be able to do so effectively.
Do not use hacks, flymods, X-rays or the like.
Do not post anything of a sexual nature, or links to inappropriate sites. As a general rule of thumb, keep things PG-13 or below.
15. Do not use programs to scan our ports, or similar programs used in hacking. If you are found to be utilizing these programs, it can result in an immediate permaban.
Combat and Injury Rules:
Do not randomly go around attacking people. This applies to both hitting them with actual swords, and RPing a fight. Only fight another character if you have an RP reason to do so.
All character vs. character (CvC) combat should begin with RP. During RP combat, you may describe your character’s actions and reactions, but not those of your opponent.
“The Law of CvC”: Be reasonable. Could you REALLY dodge 20 arrows in a row? Can you REALLY punch through iron armor?
Use private messages to communicate with whoever you’re fighting with to resolve any questions.
The use of actual, in-game weapons (PvP) may be used only if both players agree to it beforehand.
A character may only die if their player assents, similar to them only being able to be injured if The Player assents. By this I mean that the defending player always gets to decide how their character reacts to an attack, even a would-be fatal one, so they need to decide for their character to die. But remember rule 3, here. BE REASONABLE. Don’t go saying your character came back from The dead, made a miraculous escape, dodged a thousand sword strokes or the like, just because you don’t want to lose your character. Man up and die. People will seriously respect you for it.
When you die due to a mob, falling, lava, etc., that isn’t an “RP-Death”. Your character didn’t REALLY die, unless you for some reason want to say they did (Want to change character?). Generally RP-Deaths only happen as a result of CvC or events.
Injuries. If you get injured in a CvC fight, or get injured by natural means and feel like it, RP IT! Play like you got injured, like you have a broken arm, like you’ve lost a lot of blood, etc. This isn’t really a rule, per se, so much as a guideline. As always, be reasonable. If you just CvC’d someone and barely won, you’ll be worn out (Injured) for your next fight. Use your exhaustion level that is coded into our system to give you a good idea of how effective in a fight you would be.

Application
The Whitelisting Process:
After you submit the application form below, one of our valiant whitelisters (Listed above) will review your application. It will be either A.) Accepted, B.)Deferred, or C.) Rejected. If you’re accepted, you will be added to the whitelist and a staff member will help set your name when you log in. If you’re deferred (Being deferred on your first try is very normal) the Whitelister will tell you what you need to improve, and you will be allowed to reapply. Revised applications should be put in a new post so that our Whitelisters do not skip over them. If you are deferred, the same Whitelister is responsible for all resubmissions, so please don’t freak out if the next whitelister to review apps doesn’t review yours. If your application is Rejected, then you are not allowed to reapply. This is reserved for individuals who have had their application repeatedly deferred without progress, or for applications that we do not believe are salvageable. If accepted, you will be added to the whitelist within 8 hours.
Characters should:
Not be too powerful.
Not start in a position of power (Unless given express permission).
Not use obvious cliches.
Not originate in/on settlements besides those listed in the location Lore. You could start in the wilds, I suppose, but please do not make up new towns.
Not use names from popular movies/books/TV shows.
Not be villainous/evil, unless you get a Villain Application accepted. It is recommended that villainous characters begin non-villainous, and change during play, though this is not a requirement.
Be generally realistic.
Not be a 'legacy character.' Essentially, a near-clone of your previous character, or one that basically exists to gain from the death or disappearance of your previous character.
Below are three tests that you can consider taking to help you get a better feel for your character. Completion of these tests are not required. Just tools at your disposal.
We at Silver Gaming pride ourselves on making every new player feel accepted and the giving them the impression that they fit in. If you hop on over to our forums, you’ll find a subforum labeled “Character Linking.” The purpose of this is to post a thread asking for people to be related to or know your character before you apply so you’ll have at least some concrete background in the world, as well as someone to help you start out.

Character Information
Name: Viktor Spidel
Age: 28
Race: Human
Physical description: Viktor is very clean shaven. He keeps very angular sideburns on his face and his ebony hair, which reaches past his shoulders, is neatly bound together by a red piece of cloth. Viktor is quite pale, as he tries not to spend much time outside unless he absolutely has to. He usually dresses to impress with dark slacks, a waistcoat, and a simple white, button down shirt.
Screen capture of your skin (I recommend uploading to imgur and posting link here):http://imgur.com/ruC3EGS
Biography: Viktor was born to Erik and Claudia Spidel in the righteous Crownlands. His father was a wealthy businessman, owning a port in the Crownlands. His mother never partook in the Erik’s business matters, and stayed at home to raise Viktor and be a doting housewife.
If you had known Viktor before his accident, you would have thought of him as a delightful young child. Always playing outside, and quite tan, I might add. But on that fateful, winter morning, as Viktor made his way down to the nearby lake, his life changed. Young Viktor, being a curious lad, strolled up to the hill that was overlooking a vast lake. His mother’s warning floated his mind, but he shook it off. ‘I’ll be careful’ he thought, nodding firmly and keeping a close eye on the edge of the hill. He stepped close to it, admiring the view, but soon grew chilly. He turned to leave when an animal nearby darting through his legs, causing him to step back and off the cliff. Down he went, tumbling and rolling through the frozen grass. Bushes smacked at his body and he tore through them. It all happened so fast that Viktor didn’t register it until he rolled out onto the thin ice. He tried to stand, shakingly, but collapsed in pain as he noticed a stick embedded into his calf. He looked around with horror filled eyes, noting with a gulp that he was a few feet from shore, and the ice was cracking.
He tried to crawl towards the shoreline. Pain erupted through his leg every time he moved it. He gritted his teeth and slowly but surely made his way. He felt the ice crack underneath more, and froze. His heart was throwing itself against his ribcage so roughly that he was afraid his frantic breathing would shatter the thin veil of ice between him, and the frozen waters below. He tried to crawl faster but the pain was so intense that he almost blacked out a few times. Finally, he reached the shore and pulled himself onto it, crying out as the stick caught onto something and tugged on his leg. Nearby, his mother, who had one of those motherly feelings, raced towards her child’s cries and helped him get back home.
Viktor’s leg never healed right. To this day he walks with a slight limp and a cane. But after his accident, his mother never let him out of her sight. She hovered around him constantly, always feeling guilty with herself for letting Viktor go down to the lake. His mother waited on him, hand and foot, getting him anything he needed or wanted. Viktor was lucky in the fact that his family was quite wealthy. His father owned a major port nearby so money wasn’t a problem. As Viktor grew older, and older, the only times you’d ever catch him outside was if he was attending his academic lessons. That’s where he met Annabelle. Annabelle to him seemed like an angel. She was fair of skin, with blonde curly hair that barely touched her shoulders. She was always at arm’s length away however as she spent most of her school days slacking off and skipping to be outside.
When Viktor turned twenty, his father passed away quite suddenly. His family mourned and his extended sunk their claws into his mother. They all wanted a piece of Erik’s fortune. They were sure that it was going to be left to Claudia, as they were married for over 40 years. They were all very much shocked to find out that it had been left to Viktor. With the huge company weighing on his shoulder’s, Viktor became very stressed out and anxious. Claudia was never a part of Erik’s business matters and had no clue how to run one. After a risky choice, Viktor lost a ship out to sea after taking terrible advice from one of his uncles. He debating giving up the company to his uncle when Annabelle came back around.
She convinced him to keep the company, and to trust his instinct. She stuck around as an assistant to him, watching the company slowly start to thrive under Viktor’s command. It wasn’t long before Viktor finally got the one thing that he couldn’t ask his mother for. By the time Viktor turned 23, he had saved up a small fortune and asked Annabelle to marry him. She, much to his pleasure, said yes and they vowed to get married soon after. As the wedding day grew closer, Annabelle started getting sick. It started off with a small cough. But then that coughed turned into fatigue, and then she started coughing up blood. She was cold all the time and whatever she had, she couldn’t seem to shake it and no doctor that Viktor paid handsomely for, could help her.
She was gone soon after, and Viktor lost interest in the company. He gave the company to his uncle, for a share of course. Viktor’s uncle decided to give him a small piece of the company, a Tavern in Thaeron to manage and an orphanage that his uncle used to run. Though Viktor despised the idea of running them, he was thankful from the distraction. He moved to Thaeron and into the old orphanage. Annabelle lingered in his mind every day, and every day Viktor immersed himself in keeping his business afloat. Anything to keep her presence away.
What is your character’s main goal? (Motivation): To survive, day to day. The death of his Annabelle created an emotional void in his soul that he’s eager to fill, or at least forget about.
Strengths (Both physical and personality): Knows how to save money, and is a good entrepreneur. As a result of his childhood accident, Viktor’s upper body strength is slightly stronger. Not by much, since Viktor doesn’t like to do any manual work.
Weaknesses (Balance out yours character's strengths with suitable weaknesses. Not knowing how to do something that is outside of your class is not a weakness. I.E. Not knowing how to use a bow as a miner.): Viktor is very bitter, and often lets his mood dictate how he speaks to someone. But he keeps a level head when it comes to business matters. He also cannot keep track of a schedule, he always makes one for himself but can never seem to follow it. From his accident as a child, Viktor’s leg never healed right, thus leaving him with a limp, and having to use a cane on particularly bad days.
What is your character's personality? (Optional; use this field to note character traits that you feel don't fit into either strengths or weaknesses if you wish): As I’ve said before, after the death of Annabelle, Viktor has become very bitter and harsh towards the opposite sex. He knows that they didn’t cause it, but he’s afraid to let another woman back into his life. Even though he needs workers, he’s very tentative about hiring women. Age old misogyny tied into an old, bitter heart.

Have you read and agreed to both the rules and the lore of the server?: Of course.
What is the definition of “Powergaming”?: Powergaming can refer to two things; forcing actions onto other roleplayer's characters, and peforming feats and actions your character wouldn't usually be able to perform. An example of the first being Player A swings his axe, and cuts Player B straight in half, and an example of the second being Despite Player X having no legs, he managed to scale the 20ft wall.
What is the definition of “Metagaming”?: Metagaming refers to using knowledge that you have gained out-of-character, and use it in character to gain some sort of advantage over other players. For example, you have been asked to participate in building a certain event that contains a lot of hidden loot. When the even eventually does come around, with the knowledge you have, sprint straight to all the loot locations.
What is the definition of “Roleplay”?: Roleplay, in essence, is putting yourself into a character's shoes, and acting them out accordingly. By playing this character, you should respond as they would to situations that are presented to you, and simply do things that character would do. A good analogy of the term is; roleplaying is liking being an actor acting his role, while also writing your script as you go along.
Who can use flymod, X-ray and other such clientsided mods?: Nobody.
When are you allowed to cause the death of another character?: When both parties consent to the death, and usually during CvC fights.
When are you allowed to speak out of character?: At anytime, but make sure to either use double parenthesis in local chats, or use the global OOC channel.
Do you have any previous RP experience, Minecraft or elsewhere? (Optional): Yeahp. Played on TAC for a long while, as well as a small server known as Tyrenale, and LoTC for a very short period of time.

Biography (Minimum 225 words. Most very fleshed-out characters have around 300, but feel free to use even more than that if you wish. Try and avoid clichés such as loved one being killed by bandits or the like):
Renault was born in the Crownlands, to a wealthy family by the name of the Wakefields; Aiden Wakefield, and Mabel Wakefield. Renault was no ordinary child, and that was a given when the child first started schooling at the age of six. This kid was smart, throughout those early years, he'd receive considerable praise from his school teachers, and it would be rare for you not too see him top the class in exams and what have you, but a problem soon arose during his 3-4th years at this school.
Now, before I continue, I'd like to mention that this school was very highly regarded, and was much of a school as it was a college; teaching children from the mere years of six, to those of eighteen and nineteen. It was a challenging and hardworking school.
Renault, in these years, found that school was pointless, tedious, and boring. From this point on, his grades started to stoop as he'd constantly day-dream and doodle in his notebooks. While, he knew in himself, he was still the probably smartest kid in that grade at the least, he thought what was the whole point of it all; and that's when he was introduced to Dr. Arkwright.
Dr. Arkwright was a professor from the later-years department at the institution, and was called on by Renault's teachers when they started being concerned on the boy's new behavior. He was given the task to try and stimulate the boy's mind as much as possible; as the school had recognized the boy's intellectual talents. And so, every afternoon after the normal schooling day had ended, Renault would visit Arkwright in his office; and they would work on topics and subjects that wouldn't be introduced to that grade for couples of years to come. Of course, Renault found it challenging to some degree, but he persevered and did his work; it was certainly much more interesting that boring old usual school was anyway.
At school, Renault has two main friends; Samuel and Eleanor. Samuel was a dark-skinned, dark-haired boy, who lived with his uncle who happened to be the town's blacksmith. While Eleanor was pale, blonde-haired, and lived with her father, and terribly sick mother, who also happened to be rich like Renault's own parents. The boy found that going to these people's houses was probably the most entertaining thing to do in his life at the time, and so whenever he was allowed, he'd visit them. Samuel's uncle was kind, and loving, and he'd look after Renault as if he was his own son; and had often showed off his collection of weapons that Samuel had often took pride in his uncle owning. While Eleanor was a much different story, usually her father would be in his office, working and stressing over his wife, so most of the time the two had it to themselves. And that is where Renault first found his love for mechanics. Eleanor had introduced Renault to the piano, while he had one in his own home, he had never been allowed to touch it, and when he actually witnessed how it worked; he was taken back. While yes, the music it produced was wonderful, what truly intrigued him was the way it worked; from the keys to the actions, to the pinboard, to the soundboard; it was the contraption that had started his love for contraptions!
Obviously, this did not help his schooling one bit. He now has a reason to day-dream! He would often draw-up his own variations of a piano's insides, and try and edit and devise them into his own ideas. He soon expanded this train of thought when he encountered the crossbow, and learnt how levers worked. He studied to read on the subject of engineering and tinkering, at the ages of nine or ten! He learnt how cogs worked, how red-stone is used, and pulleys can be utilized; his mind was bouncing with ideas at this point.
Life continued on very repetitively from the on. He would go to school, and not try and dream, and then he would go to Arkwright, who would force him to try, and try and keep his high intelligence from slipping, and then he would visit his friends because that was literally the only fun part of the day.
And then something disastrous happened. Renault was 15 by this time, and had grown to be almost a rebel. He'd try and skip school because he found it so mind-numbing, and would plan-out ideas, and experiment with gears, locks and other gizmos he would come across, in his later years, he would even sneak out drinks from his father's cellar and drink during the day to pass the time. He even had created a small, music-box, that would play a tune as you twisted it's handle, in turn pulling the internal gears backwards, which would then pluck pins, creating the sounds. It was the day that Eleanor's mother died that caused so much grief to both Renault and Samuel; as well of course to Eleanor.
Three three were exceptionally close, and it was Eleanor's mother's death that had caused them now to become separated. Her father could no longer bare to live in the same area where his wife had died, and had decided to move far, far away. Despite the constant objections by both boys, he refused to have his mind changed. And this was heart-wrenching for them.
Because the girl meant so much to them both, Renault had decided to give her something that she would never forget. Recently, Renault had been visiting Eleanor's home to listen to here play on the piano, which she was now exceptionally adept at, at one song piece in particular. By tuning his small music-box's pins and teeth, Renault was able to recreate a small part of that tune; and he had the idea of placing this tiny box inside of a pendant. Every time the crown on this small piece of jewelry would be turned back, that song would be played.
And while Eleanor loved it with her entire, beating heart; the feeling after she left was far from being nullified.
While he still had Samuel, he felt oddly empty, where not even his love for tinkering could fill that void. And he knew that void was because of the loss of his friend. And that's when he had the idea; he had given her a piece of his own personality, and so he would try and take a piece of hers.
And so, Renault had started piano lessons (after constantly edging his parents to let him utilize their grand piano which hadn't been touched in years). And, it helped a lot; he enjoyed the lessons thoroughly, and it brought a lot of sweet memories back to him; and while everything happened so quickly, he felt a whole lot better than he had not long ago.
Life continued to go on; and at this point, school was coming to an end. Renault was 17, and he, and his parents knew, that he should be doing so much better than he should be doing at school. Renault was looking to attend a nearby academy that specialized in the area he was passionate in; but the standards there were ridiculously high. To even have a chance to enter the institution, he would have to be the best of the best in his year; and at that point, he was far from being called such a thing.
And so, in that final year, Renault tried his hardest to study; to put his head down in class, and try even harder in Dr. Arkwright's class. But, alas, despite his burning desire to achieve, being lazy was so prominent in his genetic structure; by the time the exam block came around, he definitely did not feel he was the best. And the results showed that.
He got outstanding marks, but was far from the top. And, that academy, did not accept anything but first. But fortunately, Dr. Arkwright could help. The man knew that Renault had extreme talents, and had seen his music-box, he knew that the boy knew how to think. And so, he sent word to the academy as a reference; and they agreed to hold an interview with the boy; despite not liking the state of his end-year results.
Renault knew this was his only chance of getting into this academy, and he knew that somehow he had to impress these judges. And for weeks he had no idea what he would make that would truly blow the place away; until he visited Samuel's home. Crossbows were a comparatively knew weapon, and Samuel's uncle had been commissioned to craft one. He explained that he had never been fond of the crossbow, because it's lack of range compared to the long-bow; and that's when the idea popped into Renault's mind.
The device he came up with ended up looking nothing like a crossbow at all; but was a long, iron half-cylinder, so that a bolt could run through it. A piece of steel string was able to run back and through through this cylinder, and two parallel gears located at the end. A lever could be turned, and would simultaneously turn the two gears, and so pulling back the string. Like a crossbow, the trigger would release the string; but unlike the crossbow, the amount of potential kinetic energy that the gears held was far more than any crossbow arm could hold; and so the bolt would fly like a bullet; with a reaching distance of thrice that of a usual crossbow, and firing power to outmatch any seen yet.
He demonstrated it to the judges of the academy as follows:
He took them out into an open field, where he had three dummies prepared, and lined up behind one another; and he walked himself further than any bolt had reached before. He aimed his new weapon, and he fired. The bolt flew through the air at alarming speeds, barely dropping at all; and as it reached the dummies, it pierced every single one right through to their ends. They were sold.
While the weapon was taken away from him; because unfortunately it was also very illegal, he was admitted into this academy; and so began his studies into the subjects of machines and engineering. And he studied this topic for six whole years; and in those were the best six years of his life.
After his course ended, he had no idea where to go, or what to do with this knowledge. And he started to evaluate what he really wanted to do in his life; and the answer soon came to him. He wanted to show-off, to show other people his abilities, and create and invent for himself. Ofacting his role, while also wr ideas and accept commissions, and he knew then that that is what he would do.
And then he heard about what was happening at Enris; the political interests. There would be people coming from all over the globe to come here, and so what better place to start then there?
What is your character’s main goal? (Motivation): Renault is a dreamer; he likes to think about things, and then create them, he wants to be renowned and respected for the work he dabbles in, despite it being so broad and undiscovered. And of course, he wants to be successful; he wishes to be wealthy, like his father (obviously acquiring wealth in his own way), and raise a family as well. But yes, most of all he would like to be known for what he does; to think, to tinker, to build.
Strengths (Both physical and personality): Renault is smart, is as an abstract-thinker, innovative, and passionate. Renault is naturally very intelligent, especially when it comes to engineering/working with gears/machinery, and other such things. He is also a very out-of-the-box thinker, of taking approaches that other people would have never even considered. Renault also has a clear vision of change; he likes to make change happen and inspire changes to happen, and can be considered a leader in some regard. On top of all this, Renault loves his work, and is just generally passionate about things. His interests envelop him, and he finds it easy to hold topics and subjects in converse with people.
Weaknesses (Balance out yours character's strengths with suitable weaknesses. Not knowing how to do something that is outside of your class is not a weakness. I.E. Not knowing how to use a bow as a miner.): Renault is arrogant, to some degree selfish, and often is very lazy. He hates being proven wrong, and is hard-headed; often charging into situations before really evaluating. Often pride gets the better than him, and he rarely puts himself in front of others. Renault also hates working hard; unless extremely motivated in some way, he'll often get bored of tasks and will rarely focus on one thing for an extended period of time; his mind often drifting of into his own thoughts and ideas. Renault can sometimes come off insensitive and condescending; sometimes dismissing irrational and traditional thoughts because he doesn't believe the logic fits can often lead to people offense. As well as of this, Renault is just overall physically weak. Having never exceeded in physical activities, he'd lose the majority of fights with people, as well as have trouble performing actions that require a lot of power, aerobic/anaerobic endurance, agility, etc.
What is your character's personality? (Optional; use this field to note character traits that you feel don't fit into either strengths or weaknesses if you wish): Renault is an often-happy and outgoing character; a conversationalist. He likes talking and having fun, and can hold his own in a conversation rather easily. He's also often well-dressed, and likes to consider himself hygienic.
Bonus Language (Caro is free): Arturan & Wild Elven.

Name: Colias Olivetti Estray
Age: 34
Appearance:
Colias is a 5.6 foot tall human weighing in at 187 lb. He has Caucasian skin with a clean-shaven face, and is right-handed. He wears a buttoned, white shirt with some brown pants, and a pair of brown shoes. He has black hair, which he keeps in a ponytail, and has indigo eyes. He wears a yellow coat with leather gloves, and wears a pair of goggles.

Biography:
Colias was born as a citizen of the Bheille Empire living in the capital city. Unlike the other citizens of the Bheille Empire, Colias was not partial to the homogenization of his Absolutist society. He was constantly curious, and from an early age, concluded that no one should be denied the chance to search for their own answers. He would frequently wander the city on his own time. When Colias was twelve, he met his mentor, a man named Abraxas, who saved him when he was accosted by a pack of thuggish adolescent boys who mocked Colias for his curious nature.
Abraxas asked why Colias would be so reckless, as well as being so different-minded from other children his age in the Bheille. Colias answered that he believed in academic liberty, and proceeded to ask Abraxas why he saved him. Seeing that Colias would not judge him, Abraxas revealed that he was actually the grandson of a mainland alchemist who emigrated from the mainland and escaped the purge of the Bheille, as well as that his grandfather had taught him everything he could remember about alchemy. Grateful to find a curious, would-be scholar who was not quick to judge, Abraxas taught Colias basic alchemy whenever Colias had time off from school. Years later, when Colias was twenty and in his second year of University, Abraxas died, leaving behind his alchemical notes, which contained details on potions that were illegal and couldn’t be brewed. The thought of trying them in secret never left Colias’ mind though…
While he was attending university, Colias’ majors were psychology, biology, and to the surprise of both students and professors alike, alchemy. Colias was determined to learn alchemy in particular. After he graduated university at the age of twenty-five, he immediately entered a medical school, where for the next several years, he received training to become a surgeon. Colias, however, was still enticed by the potion recipes left behind by his former mentor, and wanted so badly to concoct them that he had to resist the temptation. It was then that he realized that he could never realize his full potential as an alchemist while he was living amid the provinces of the Empire.
Colias figured that the severe restrictions placed on alchemists did not exist in the Mainland. The thought of going to the Mainland intimidated him at first, due to the population, their beliefs, and the presence of magic. No amount of knowledge could possibly be worth leaving but he was at an impasse, and the only way forward towards his goal was to escape. He was wondering how when he realized that he still had a whole book of illegal potion recipes. He found the perfect means of escaping the Empire. He would brew a potion that turned him invisible, and then literally walk right past the border and into the Mainland.
Finally, with a sense of great daring and courage, Colias was able to successfully brew a working potion of invisibility. He packed light and set off for the border near Alann. Colias approached the gate, drank the potion, and walked through the guarded entrance while making sure not to draw attention. As soon as he made it to the camp, he waited until the potion wore off, and then he hitchhiked until he was in Horizon. Over the next months after that, he continued westward towards the Enris Islands; home of the famous Leogarde Academy.
During Colias’ time travelling throughout the Mainland, or rather, the continent of Cordolan, he took the time to observe his surroundings, and he was quite astonished. On top of there being other humans, (thank the Patron) there were also the Savages, and other people known as Elves, Halfmen, and Drow. The technology, or lack thereof was simply astounding. Almost everything was done manually. They seemed to compensate for this downgrade by utilizing the technology of the Ancients- an extinct race that wholly intrigued Colias. So far, out of all the gods, Colias’ favorite deity thus far was “Saviesa,” Goddess of Knowledge and Wisdom. The first time Colias saw magic, his mind was blown. Saying gibberish words and making things happen? It took days to process that what he’d seen was real. How was he supposed to not live life as he used to? Academic Liberty be damned- he wasn’t prepared for this!
‘Neither was Abraxas when he left this place,’ Colias thought to himself.
It just hit him- this is where Abraxas lived in the early years of his life before he left with his family for a better life- and was met with nothing but poverty until Colias arrived. Abraxas had set Colias on this path. If he turned back now, he knew that Abraxas would be disappointed in him- wait. Since when did he care what dead people thought? Dead people were dead. He remembered people talking how the dead lived on inside their hearts and memories… But that was just absurd… No. He wouldn’t think like that anymore. He didn’t know how, but Abraxas was indeed watching over him, and if he failed now, it would be an insult to his memory. This line of abstract thought was the first of its kind that Colias processed- and fully accepted.
‘I have Abraxas on my side. He isn’t gone forever.’
That thought, so impossible and irrational, was what made Colias pull himself together and resolve to defeat his inhibitions and reach Enris. With renewed courage, Colias set forth.
Colias decided to spend more time in Cordolan, spending a few years traveling across the continent to more lands, including Beschwall, The Crownlands, Rinion, Arturan, and Mezenia. He then reached the Isle of Enris, docking at the Capital City of Thaeron. He made his way over to the Academy, and after two years of study, Colias was now a full-fledged Alchemist. He then was offered the position of an Alchemical Professor. He smiled, and eagerly accepted. Using his savings, he purchased a home in Thaeron, allowing him to commit full-time to his work, and socialize better with the townsfolk.
Colias often heard whispers of the townsfolk. They concerned some grim tidings, such as the King losing his sons, the fall of several cities, and finally, the rise of an undead menace. He’d hear talk of “monsters” roaming the wilds. Colias frowned; he’d certainly never seen any undead before arriving in Enris. Years ago, he would’ve dismissed such claims as fantasy, but now, he clearly had a role to play in helping these people fight this menace, whatever it was. First, however, he needed to make his lesson plan…
Main Goal: Colias’s goal is to not only teach Alchemy to the people of Enris, but also to promote the values of Academic Liberty. However, a bigger priority is keeping his true identity a secret until there’s no need, which may not come for a long time.
Strengths:
Colias is a master alchemist, and is also a surgeon with experience in both fields in every single continent in the world. This knowledge of brewing and anatomy makes him well-suited towards healing wounds and ailments. He possesses an Eidetic Memory, also known as a photographic memory, which allows him to perfectly capture whatever he sees as a mental image stored in his memory. He is a well-mannered individual and courteous to those around him; a side effect of his Bheille upbringing. He also has excellent hearing.
Weaknesses:
Being in the unenviable situation of being a Bheilin masquerading as a native of the Confederation, Colias must maintain this false persona; if he is found, it is certain that he will be either imprisoned, tortured, executed, or forced to build superweapons. Constant fear of this has at times kept him from sleep, and in extreme cases, shows signs of paranoia. Colias also has a compulsive need to help other people, causing him to put the needs of others above those of his own, causing risk to his well-being. Being of the Bheille, Colias is still getting used to the cultures and societal norms that surround him in Enris, namely magic, religion, the inclusion of non-human races as people, and especially the lower level of technology as opposed to the advanced machines of his native homeland. Finally, Colias’ formality may be off-putting to those of the more roguish type, who may mistake him for being of a condescending upper-class. More often than not, this can make communication difficult.
Personality:
Colias is a well-mannered human who is able to befriend and converse with almost anyone he meets. When he’s teaching or practicing medicine, he is very confident in his line of thoughts, allowing him to perform efficiently. He is passionate about both Alchemy and Surgery, believing that the two go hand in hand in the field of medicine, as well as holding a set of ethics to accompany both. Most notable among these guidelines are a moral obligation to give medical aid to those who need it, and an opposition to capital punishment, especially if it’s brutal. He believes that poisons and explosives should only be used when necessary, and that all persons, regardless of race or gender, are entitled to the inalienable right to learn whatever they wish to be educated on. This particular belief is what led him to leave the Bheille after it was made clear that Colias couldn’t continue his education there. However, Colias knows that the secrets of Alchemy are dangerous in the wrong hands, and although he is willing to accept virtually anyone as a student, he will rigorously test all of his would-be students and apprentices. He enjoys a quiet life, but also welcomes company whenever possible.

This looks like a server I'd definitely want to get into. I'll probably have to look at the forums a bit more to flesh out what kind of character I'd want to play as and post it later but one thing I am curious about is what the amount of active players being online and roleplaying is going to look like. As much as I hate to say it, that will mostly determine how much I would commit to this kind of thing.
I've been on other minecraft RP servers that just didn't have enough players online to support the overall RP environment and kind of just crashed and burned. I guess I'm just wondering if this server is going to be advertised well enough to have a strong playerbase. As for me, I'll tell my friends about this server if it turns out well but I'm still hoping there will be enough of other interesting characters to provide a satisfying RP experience.
Do you have a Skype? If so, what is your Skype Name? (This is by no means required and holds no weight on your acceptance. We just use Skype a lot): Nope, Sorry I type pretty fast though.

If you have played on other RP servers, please say which and why you left: I have played on Lords of Minecraft and I left because people did crappy forced roleplay.
Character Information
Name: Kalios
Age: 16
Race:Elf
Physical description: Fairly strong but his main attribute is smarts. He has trained hard to become stronger but his bow draw weight is only 60 lbs.
Biography (Minimum 225 words. Cannot include loved ones being killed, kidnapped, tortured, or the like, unless you can do it in a non-cliche manner.): Kalios was born and raised in the wild where he developed good life skills.Though he could never surpass his brother's strength, he did surpass his intelligence and aim. Kalios hunted at night when the animals were sleeping so he had more of a chance to sneak up on them and kill them. His brother was the muscle of his household because his father was too old, his mother was feeble, and his sister ran away. Gregavus (Kal's brother) was constantly at work hauling wood and cutting down trees. So, during that time, Kalios read books that his father had gotten him. One night, men came travelling through the forest where Kal's family lived. They were fairly well-armed and strong. They were here to burn down the forest and kill the inhabitants of the house. They didn't say a word they just walked towards Kal's family, drew their swords and charged at them. His father was a retired soldier so he knew a few things about fighting Kalios ran into the house and got his bow and quiver. He slung the quiver on his back and charged out the door. He drew his bow and as he looked down the arrow at the man he was about to kill, he hesitated... is it really worth taking a man's life to stop them from burning down the forest? After a brief moment he decided yes, it was worth it. So he let the arrow fly. It hit precisely where he wanted it to. In between the man's eyes. First he saw the life drain from the man's now soulless eyes... unblinking, unmoving. Next the man's knees sank to the ground, then his torso. That was the first man Kalios had ever killed and from then on he only killed two more. Both in defense of his home that night. But they only prolonged the inevitable and their home and forest was burned to the ground. Kal and his family all split up that night and never met again...
What is your character’s main goal? (Motivation): To find his siblings (Brother and sister)
Strengths (Both physical and personality): Kal is a kind funny guy with a deadly aim and loves to read.
Weaknesses (Both physical and personality. Not knowing how to do something that is outside of your class is not a weakness. IE not knowing how to use bows and magic, if you are a swordsman.): Kal has trouble making friends because of his weak muscles people think he is a wimp. Plus, his bow is small and weak. KAl also has a lust for all literature and will do almost anything for it.
I very much understand your concerns, Dylan. We've been in the RP server business for years now, and have seen many rise and fall. I can't say for sure what activity will be like, as the the server isn't open yet and we're only now accepting applications, but I can tell you that we have some of the most active and dedicated staff I have ever seen, and we have put far more effort into this server than any of our previous ones. Previously we've manage to average around 20 players online during the peak of each day, and we make an effort not to spread that too thin. This is usually plenty for solid storytelling and roleplay, though I'd be very excited if we could break past that line with FTA.
You've got something good going here, but it still needs work. Firstly, you need to get rid of all the stuff from TAC. It makes the application look like something copied and pasted. Secondly, your physical description of your character is rather meager. You posted a link to his visual description, but we need to know what he looks like as if it were written down without pictures. Stuff to include would be height, weight, his dominant hand, eye color, hair color, skin color, whether or not he's missing any limbs or other extremities, and any other physical description you can think of. Also, your answer for when to speak IC could use more specific details.
Your biography has something started, but it just isn't full of enough detail yet. You mention his family haphazardly throughout the first half. A good tip would be to organize the bits about the family at the very beginning. Also, the info about his home is contradictory. He's "raised in the wilds," but a household is mentioned. You could mention something like a Log Cabin, a Cave, or even that his family is a traveling band of thieves or charlatans. Also, you should elaborate further in what "good life skills" he learned, as well as how he learned them. All you currently have is when, and it's a pretty big timegap. You could mention some of the exploits he had with his family, the lessons he's learned. You could also further elaborate on the father's past as a soldier, as well as how he came to start living in the wilds with his family. It would also help if you explained where these wilds are on the map, and if they're anywhere near civilization.
And then there's the part where a group of heinous vagabounds show up out of nowhere and burn down the house AND the forest, with the fates of his family being left ambiguously in the air. It's never explained WHO those bad guys exactly are show up and be nasty, or what ultimately happens to the family. And did all of them really get away? Did the father die fighting? Did he witness any of it? I recommend having something that leads up to the moment of tragedy. Also, why burn down the forest when they could just burn down the house? Forests are usually filled with fresh Game to hunt for, as well as providing timber for building houses and furniture. That is, IF there's any civilization nearby. You could say that the fire spread out of control and burnt down the forest. The moral-decision-making part was well made. Killing people is not easy, especially for first-timers. (Not that I know that firsthand, I'm no killer.)
You need to elaborate further on what his strengths are. A human personality is not easily defined with just a few words such as "Kind and Funny." Also, I know that he uses a bow, but you need to mention that. "Deadly Aim" is not the only thing you can mention about that. Also, you never bothered to mention his hunting skills in his list of strengths. Even if it was mentioned prior in another section of the app, you NEED to list it as a strength, otherwise it cannot and will not be counted as an actual strength you can use.
Also, your weaknesses don't make sense. People who hunt for a living do not have weak muscles, especially if they've done it their whole life as indicated in his bio. Also, the way you portray it as a weakness rather shallow. Having weak muscles is a weakness because, well, it makes them physically weaker. And people on here are not shallow to the point where they'll shun him just for looking weak. Also, "Having a small bow" is not a weakness because he can easily get a better, new one. Heck, he can even make one himself if he knows how. Finally, "having a lust for literature" is also not a weakness. It's a passion. A personality trait. You also need to explain where this interest in reading comes from. Finally, your character is a child. They will be coming to Thaeron. A city. Child Characters cannot own homes, so think about your character's age a bit more before you re-submit. Also, there's also the fact that you haven't mentioned any aspects of the world, such as the Island of Enris, the Cordolan Confederation and its nations, or the threat of the Undead. You should try to make your character more connected to this server.
Finally, several of your traits don't match your bio. There's nothing in your bio, or even your strengths/weaknesses about being a miner, or knowing how to use simple weapons. There's also nothing about being a lumberjack in there either, or voice impressions. The only ones that make sense are Orator, Sneak, and Ranged Weapons. I recommend upgrading either Sneak or Ranged, given how your character is supposed to be awesome at hunting and archery. Take another look at the traits list and make sure there isn't anything else you'd like.
I've highlighted all the work you need to do on this application before it can be accepted. I'm getting the impression from your application that you're not taking this application as seriously as you should be right now. I'll give you another shot, but I ask that you please take this seriously and be through. Leave no stone unturned. Don't hesitate to put in as much detail as you can. Also when you re-post your application, don't edit the first post of your app. Put it on a new reply to the OP. I wish you good luck in your next attempt, and hope for the best.

Character Information
Name: Armond Asanti
Age: 27
Race: Human
Physical description: small and lanky, Armond is not muscular by any standards. His skin is pale, as if he doesn't get much sun and it looks like a chicken leg or two wouldn't hurt him.
Screen capture of your skin (I recommend uploading to imgur and posting link here):
Biography (Minimum 225 words. Most very fleshed-out characters have around 300, but feel free to use even more than that if you wish. Try and avoid clichés such as loved one being killed by bandits or the like): *While scavaging through the rubble of the burned down building, you find a charred journal, still legible in segments*
"This journal is the property of Armond Asanti, Child of Elane Du'Fabre and Darin Asanti."
Page 7 reads, "And so there we were, feeling my child home of St. Jessica, the whispers of scandal all around. I was young, but I recognized several things. My father's career was finished and I would never see my childhood friends again."
Page 12, "I remember the disdain my mother held for having to travel through the Mistlands, and with so little left to our name as well. But my father assured her that it would be 'too risky' to encounter people within Forezzie and all would be well once we reached the Crownland. I remember crying as they fought over the campfire each night, and was not until much later in life that I realized just how much strain there was on their marriage."
Page 32, "We were nearly a year into a new home in the Crownlands when I really began reading. The people around were generally nice, but the trials of being relocated at such a young age and under such conditions took their toll. I was reclusive, to say the least. I found my solace in books, and often watched people from the second story window of our townhouse."
Page 60, "The night is still a blur. I was walking home from my job- working as a scribe (Scholar)(Linguist). There was a large crowd surrounding our home, angry voices shouting. As I approached a hand grabbed me from behind.... my uncle. He thrust a bag in my hand and told me that if I wanted to live I must leave for Oddonwall at once. Living with the people of Oddenwall I learned basic survival traits, and while I will never be a master duelist, I can swing a blade once or twice before I am out of breath. (Simple Weapon Prof) I of course protested and eventually left... the fate of my parents and what happened uncertain.
Page 80, "On my own for the first time in my life, I actually made a small name for myself in Oddonwall. The towns I stopped in loved to hear my stories of St. Jessica, Mistlands, and other places they only dreamed of (Voice Impressions)(Orator). Saving up what money I could make for drafting letters and such, I began to write fictional versions of the places I visited, and they were in popular in demand. (Extra language: Savage)
Page 90, "Despite sending several letters to old contacts in the Crownland, I heard nothing of my family or what took place. My name grew and others began copying and distributing my work... which turned out to be my undoing.
Page 110 *the writing is sloppy*, "Hello journal, it has been quite some time. My success as an author drew me back to the Crownland, where I could more easily distribute my work. Sadly the unknown sins of my family have followed me. Currently I am taking refuge in an abandoned cottage, on the run from my pursuers. After all these years, they were waiting for me to set foot in the Crownland. I fear there is no more refuge for me, so once again I set out on a brand new adventure. Despite all that is happening in our world, the happening that intrigues me the most is in the Holy Land. Tomorrow I make my final run for a ship, and with any hope I will make it to my destination." (Established Author: Savings II)
What is your character’s main goal? (Motivation): Armond's main goal is to grow in knowledge and be successful as a novelist/story teller. He is starting over in life... yet again, and his motivation is to escape the unknown sins of his parents that constantly haunt him.
Strengths (Both physical and personality): Armond is intelligent, witty, and at times deceptive. He is a generally good guy but his thirst for a best selling novel is great. He will often observe and not step in, even to a fault.
Weaknesses (Balance out yours character's strengths with suitable weaknesses. Not knowing how to do something that is outside of your class is not a weakness. I.E. Not knowing how to use a bow as a miner.): Physically weak, Armond sometimes fails to grasp the bigger picture right away as he easily gets focused on a single task. (He can't walk and chew food at the same time, as the saying goes)
Do you wish to join our community Skype chat? If so, what is your Skype username? (This is optional): im fine
Have you read and agreed to both the rules and the lore of the server?: yes
What is the definition of “Powergaming”?: Forcing an action or forcing a condition on another player or anything w/o proper time to react, such as killing someone instantly, or breaking their arm by simply saying *Breaks your arm*
What is the definition of “Metagaming”?: Using information gathered/acquired ooc towards your advantage IC. Such as who murdered a victim when your character was not present during the crime
What is the definition of “Roleplay”?: taking on the role of a character beside yourself, and acting as them, for fun and sometimes in a realm unlike our own.

Character Information
Name: Mika Akeldama
Age: 21
Race: Drow
Physical description: Mika is a average height woman with eyes as green and shiny as emeralds in the right light, (none). She has long brown hair, braided to one side and tied in the back, her skin is grayish blue, and she only wear's long sleeves, to cover her nastily scarred arms, which have healed, but their sight makes many uneasy. She wears darkly shaded clothing, with leather arm bands to keep each sleeve on each arm. She also has a leg band to hold any items close to her that she may need. She has wrappings over her hands which are tattered and worn from years of tough use.
Screen capture of your skin (I recommend uploading to imgur and posting link here):
Biography (Minimum 225 words. Most very fleshed-out characters have around 300, but feel free to use even more than that if you wish. Try and avoid clichés such as loved one being killed by bandits or the like):
Mika Akeldama, a name spoken with both disdain and reverence, for there are two sides to every story. Growing up Mika was a very normal girl, in the Drow sense, and a very attractive one to many of the Drow boys, whom she flirted with daily. Her family resided within a cave near the western edge of Norland, along with many other Drow families. Though cave is not the best term for this colony of underfolk, for their expanses reached to bedrock, and outwards nearing the sea. Mika's father, Areighnoor, was a great fighter, and through fighting he gained the admiration of Mika's mother, Merina. However it did not last, and Areighnoor was left to care for Mika, as Merina moved on to more ambitious men. So Areighnoor raised Mika, he taught her to defend herself and survive the caves she had been born into.
By 17 Mika was able to take down most of the boys her age, however she didn't often, as when beaten the boys wouldn't see her as a lady anymore, but more as one of them. Mika had quite a bit of free time in between learning, sacrificial ceremonies, and flirting, which she spent traversing the caverns, in which she came into contact with several dangerous beasts, one of which changed her personality, and her fellow Shadow Elve's perception of her. On the night of a full moon, as Mika had overheard it was from some of the surface walkers on their way past her hall, she decided it might be fun to sneak out. So as quietly and quickly as she could, Mika left her father to sleep, and went to the uninhabited area's of the cavern. While there Mika found many old huts and items, left behind by whom she expected to be Drow.
A cluster of mushrooms by one of the huts caught her attention, it was brighter than anything she had seen before, and more plentiful. As she neared the spores she heard a soft hiss and a quiet creaking of stones. Mika looked up to see a large hole, holding and even larger spider. She jumped stared in awe as the great beast fell upon her, trapping her under its mandibles. Mika slammed her fists into the beast, crushing one of it's eyes, and cracking some of its exoskeleton. The beast did not take kindly to losing an eye, so it started biting her arms, which she resisted, but did infact suffer deep gashes, which stung her from pain and venom. Just as Mika prepared to die she heard a pounding of feet, her father came running into the room, he had awoken to find her missing from bed, turns out she wasn't as sneaky as she thought. Areighnoor flung himself upon the beast, cracking it's carapace with his own fists, which also broke many of his own bones. Enraged, the beast turned on him, releasing Mika, who struggled to her feet. Areignoor kicked and wrestled with the beast, until finally the beast caught him in it's Mandibles, and would not let go. Mika, suffering the beasts venom, and her own terror, began pelting it with rocks, until she accidentally struck a stone hut, which was so old it crumbled and fell onto the spider, as well as her father. The old stones, brittle and heavy, crushed both of the tangled two. Mika cried out in agony as she rushed to dig her father out, only cutting her arms even more. But she only got about halfway before she passed out from the venom.
A few days later she awoke in the bed of a Shaman, her arms still stinging, covered in bandages and blood, her own. The Shaman explained to her how they had found her lying in a pile of rubble. When she tried to explain what had happened she could only weep. She wept and wept for days, and for years when asked about the event she would only weep. Her arms eventually did heal, however they never lost their scarred appearance, to which she and the men her age took notice. None of them wanted her once they saw her arms, so she kept them covered. But news of her affliction spread like venom through warm veins, and no man in her village dared to seek her out. At 21 Mika can finally tell the story of how she gained the scars she has become known for, once those willing to listen hear her story, they begin to respect her. Many of the women in her village found her brave, though they were not the majority, so her negative image lived on. Mika decided she had enough, and left for Enris, the "Holy land" surely she thought, no one could mock her on holy ground.
What is your character’s main goal? (Motivation): Mika wants to be accepted with her flaws and all, for someone or something to accept her for her, and respect her. Though she also does have a great hatred for spiders, and will seek them out, so eradication is indeed on her to do list.
Strengths (Both physical and personality): Because of her experiences with so many Drow men, Mika has developed a rather strong sense of character, she strays from those who she believes can do nothing for her, or will do nothing for her.
Weaknesses (Balance out yours character's strengths with suitable weaknesses. Not knowing how to do something that is outside of your class is not a weakness. I.E. Not knowing how to use a bow as a miner.): Mika has become very desensitized from living underground among other Drow, with everyday life involving sacrifices or a daily fight to just survive she never developed a sense of empathy, and may seem quite callous to those around her. Mika's arms are also scarred, which has proven to be a deal breaker for her and many men she has met, as it is not attractive to them.
What is your character's personality? (Optional; use this field to note character traits that you feel don't fit into either strengths or weaknesses if you wish): Mika has a strong will, when she sets her mind to do something she will see it done. Because of this however, Mika has little time for others, and is quite unpleasant to new people, especially other races, she only has room in her heart for her own race, if any at all.

Biography (Minimum 225 words. Most very fleshed-out characters have around 300, but feel free to use even more than that if you wish. Try and avoid clichés such as loved one being killed by bandits or the like):
Quincy was born in a small settlement in southern Beshwall, relatively close to the Forezzie border. His father, a blacksmith, and mother, a farmer, made quite lucrative careers for themselves and managed to provide Quincy and his older sister a comfortable and happy life. Being a very big and tremendously strong man, Quincy's father was not violent simply because he didn't have to be. While obviously telling them to defend themselves, Quincy's father made sure his children did not learn from the rowdy tavern-goers who roamed the countryside after many a festival. They would often sit around the glow of the fireplace and Quincy's father would pluck melodies with his large but deft fingers on the lute while his mother would sing of kings and kingdoms, rises and falls. Quincy was spellbound during these family events, and would often even cease pulling his sister's hair during them to soak in the lovely music. As he grew, Quincy would often go to the taverns with a stern warning from both parents, a quick wink from his father, and gold transferred from palm to palm quicker than Mrs. Redd could see. He would sit and listen to the bards for hours; their songs and tales, their jokes and sorrows, the impressions of ol' Mr. Bleakbarrow who loved on the hill over yonder and ate children, all while assisting around the tavern. At age 18, when he was learned in nearly all of the crafts a tavern could allow him to learn, he announced to his folks that he would be leaving for the bard's life rather than the tavern life. Though both would obviously rather he stay home, they understood and bade him tearful goodbyes, and even a stop at his sister's house left more positive partings than negative.
For years he traveled like this around southern Beshwall, the Crownlands, Forezzie, and Oddonwall, living as both peasant and prince, staying in towns long enough to write and receive letters to and from home, and moving on. Once every month or two, Quincy would take time to visit home as well, often to grow drunk and merry with old friends and always to visit his dear family. As time went on, he would come home to a brother-in-law, then a nephew, then another nephew, and he decided travelling, while wonderful, had given Quincy most of what he could want. He took up the cook position in the old local tavern, hoping to find a nice girl, settle down, and grow old together in that small town.
As a former bard, he should have been able to predict what would happen afterwards. The idyllic little town was slammed by what seemed like a Savage raid. Awakened by screams of "Savageeuuugh!", the young man jumped up to run, and as he ran he began to think, grabbing his scarf on the way out of the inn's room he had been using. Quincy had never had any personal problems with Savages, as they usually appeared in the North, and in fact had befriended a few civilized ones in his travels. As he sprinted from the burning building to where his old family home was and away from any shouts he heard, a sinking feeling set in. The inn was in the center of the town and had been rather thoroughly ransacked; his home was on the outskirts. When he arrived, he found what he thought he'd been dreading. Corpses. As he dropped to the ground though, he heard "Quincy?" from the shadows near the stairway. Wiping his eyes quickly, he hurried over. "Boy, we have to go," his father whispered as quietly as he could. "Not safe no more. Got horses out back, we're going to the Holy Lands." When he inquired about his sister and her family, his mother covered her mouth and his father merely hurried them out quicker.
***
Now, Quincy works at the largest tavern in the Holy Lands. His parents passed away soon after they arrived; be it from grief or illness, Quincy didn't know nor particularly care. He'd seen enough loved ones die for one lifetime, and would prefer if he didn't see any more. He doesn't really blame anyone for their deaths, not even the Savages who directly caused a few of them, and just tries to be as warm a person as he can, and he thinks life is looking up again for him in the peaceful Holy Lands.
What is your character’s main goal? (Motivation): To keep putting one foot in front of the other, and make sure that he does everything in his ability to protect those he cares about.
Strengths (Both physical and personality): Has a wonderful singing voice and is a fantastic lute player and gourmet chef. Never holds a grudge, and is overwhelmingly kind and welcoming to everyone he meets. Informally but suitably educated, and an overall exceedingly tolerant individual.
Weaknesses (Balance out yours character's strengths with suitable weaknesses. Not knowing how to do something that is outside of your class is not a weakness. I.E. Not knowing how to use a bow as a miner.): Will never, ever fight with a weapon or to seriously harm; will only ever try to get away from fights. Passive to the point of being a doormat, and will hypothetically take mean-spirited abuse until he is emotionally broken (will snark back, but will think every single insult aimed at him is true, regardless of whether or not it is). Despite most bards having to flee after many a midnight tryst, Quincy did not, and is not athletic at all. Cannot sprint for long at all, and any fight lasting more than a minute will have him exhausted.
What is your character's personality? (Optional; use this field to note character traits that you feel don't fit into either strengths or weaknesses if you wish): Sarcastic and witty (as an ex-bard, duh), and usually reads people well. Enjoys telling stories to patrons of the tavern, and GREATLY enjoys learning even more. Has a massive inferiority complex, and thinks himself too worthless to be of any use in any situation, but tries anyway. Can speak in a booming, powerful voice, but chooses to speak softly in most situations.
Bonus Language (Caro is free): Wild Elven
Character Traits (up to 7 points worth):
Scholar - 2 (Studying from history-focused bards, extra language: Savage)
Wrangle - 1 (Self-defense training from father)
Linguist - 1 (Extra languages: Modern Elven, Runic, through travel and study)

And so it was that Thaer sought to meet with the Gods, in order to find an end to the Undead scourge. With one final assault, Thaer himself fought his way to meet with the Pantheon. It was on that day that the Pantheon anointed Thaer as brethren, and he ascended from this plane, his power so radiant that the Undead Scourge was vanquished.
Norland- (Typical Norland Appearance)
Much like Drunn, it is located in the rocky North, and in such a harsh environment, the people have become as cold as the constantly bad weather. The people of Norland are descended from fierce raiders exiled to the wintry shores, and it shows. Whether on the high seas or off, Norlanders express hardiness in all parts of life. However, living in such a barren land changes people. Those who have remained in Norland for most of their life become hard, willing to make the tough choices that few others can bring themselves to make.
Beschwall- (Typical Beschwall Appearance)
The “Breadbasket of Cordolan,” Beschwall produces the vast majority of the Confederation’s crops. Idyllic fields of wheat seem to stretch on forever, and one can easily travel for days without seeing an end to the fields. However, even a peaceful nation such as this has its problems, with avalanches in the northern mountains, or wild bands of Savages stealing crops.
The Crownlands- (Typical Crownland Appearance)
Capital province on the Confederation, and seat of the Emperor of Man. The Emperor of Man claims to have divine right to rule over humans everywhere, as the line is (distantly) descended from Thaer’s family line, though not from Thaer himself. Most human nations, with the exceptions of the Mistlands and Norland, generally defer to the Emperor’s direction in Confederation matters. Notably, they have agreed to import massive amount of grain to the Crownlands, for extremely low prices, due to the Crownlands’ mind-boggling population size.
The Mistlands- (Typical Mistland Appearance)
A land where over each hill is certainly another bog, and past each bog, another hill, and every resident lives their lives seeing no more than a quarter mile in front of themselves at any given time, and this is only on a clear day. Settlements are spread few and far between in the moors of The Mistlands, and this isolation is reflected on the infrastructure of the land and its people, many of whom are illiterate. They are often seen as the laughing stocks and filth of the Confederation, but very few Mistlanders travel outside of their Kingdom to know, which spares any hurt feelings (or conflicts).
Rinion- (Typical Rinion Appearance)
Alann- (Typical Alanni Appearance)

Screen capture of your skin (I recommend uploading to imgur and posting link here): http://imgur.com/ruC3EGS

All my life I thought air was free, until I bought a bag of chips...
Accepted!

Character Information
Name: Kalios
Age: 16
Race:Elf
Physical description: Fairly strong but his main attribute is smarts. He has trained hard to become stronger but his bow draw weight is only 60 lbs.
Screen capture of your skin: This is where I found it (I wanted a ranger skin that wasn greenlike most. http://www.minecraftskins.com/skin/5907724/will-treaty/

I cried D= AT LONG LAST SILVER GAMING RETURNS
Renee! Long time no see!
Koaritz: Deferred
Without Wax,
Mr. 7
