I have previously roleplayed on both Rise of Kings (Medieval-esque RP server) and Project Horizon (Sci-fi RP server). On RoK I have RPed for an extensive time, at least over a year.

-Character Occupation: Galan, also called Gale, was employed as a Field Medic within the Alliance Forces previously having worked as a Doctor's Assistant in a local hospital. He additionally has some combat experience as per his employment with the Alliance Forces.

-Character description (At least one to two paragraphs describing your character’s visual appearance.):

Gale is a elven male of about 6’6 in stature. He’s short compared to the average elf but this doesn’t seem to bother Gale much. He has an agile body with a decent amount of lean and well developed muscle earned from his experience as a veteran archer of the Army. Gale appears to be approximately in his early-30s or late-20s. With his shaggy hair he seems almost human as the hair covers most of his tipped ears, the most defining feature of an elf arguably. He’s perhaps a little stockier compared to most elves as he tries his best to buff himself up a bit but arguably slender compared to human soldiers.

-Character personality and traits (At least one to two paragraphs describing their personality traits and/or quirks.):

Gale is an interesting person. Despite his very dark and perhaps depressing past he lives his life with some joy to it. He’s often seen smiling at least to some degree, with a very friendly demeanour and a breezy personality he’s definitely a person that anyone can make acquaintance with easily. Whenever he sees a conflict he’ll act as a mediator and try to resolve it, one way or another.

Under pressure he is a lot more mature and collected, rather than being the joker he’ll completely change taking on a serious role. Hints of his joyful manner will remain but Gale will largely take on a more no-nonsense attitude in some situations.

-Character biography (At least three paragraphs describing your character's history and experiences):

Gale grew up an orphan, he was never too sure who his parents were or how he ended up on the streets, he was too young to understand what happened, what caused him to end up on the streets. He lived on the streets of Silivrenmir, with both parents gone and no relatives to rely on he was alone, having to fend off for himself somehow. Eventually Elven Authorities gave Gale the boot, forcing him out of the city. Even elven society, which he belonged to, rejected Gale for merely losing his parents and having to beg for whatever change of money or scrap of food there was to beg for.

For days he traveled the roads, not knowing where any leads. Eventually he passed out from sheer exhaustion. He woke up only to find himself in some sort of dark cavern, lying in a rather comfy pile of blankets. Watching over him was a human male with half his face burnt... it was a horrific sight to see. Gale found more people like the man, all deformed in one way or another, a society of rejects whether they were dwarven, elven or human. It was an odd sight to see, almost like a circus show of sorts with the weirdest assortment of people. With nowhere else to go Gale stayed...

For almost 15 years he lived there, all the people there were friendly and got along very well with others. Atop of that most were very skilled in one thing or another... yet they were rejected for being different from the 'normal' people... it just seemed unfair. From the times he has been at this place he picked up some skills in medicine, a very lady having taught a wide variety of useful skills in medicine. At the age of 20 he left his safe haven to brave the world outside once more.

He seeked out the human city of Falkvard, looking for a job. Gale was amazed by the sheer size of the sprawling city. Eventually he ended up blundering his way into a job as a medic for the local hospital... Gale never talked much with anyone but as he got a little more friendly he began to be a little more honest, tell the people he knew about himself... that didn't turn out well. Everybody began turning their backs on Gale, all because he was some high-elven beggar? Eventually he learnt to shut himself up, now with nobody to talk to he once again felt alone... he learnt to bottle everything up inside of him, hollow himself out of any feelings... it seems like he'll never fit into any society, forever a reject.

At the age of 28, the Pact-Alliance commenced, wide spread panic was common within cities Falkvard being one of them. Recruitment rates exploded sky-high, humans fighting to defend their homes. Gale having had to deal with his job as a medic for 8 years now, he decided to take a bold move and enlist himself perhaps hoping there'd be less discrimination there.

Even within the army he was discriminated by everyone in his regiment and beyond. Dwarves and humans alike were skeptical of all high elves because of their pompous attitude, other high-elves constantly harassed Gale due to his past. Despite this he continued to serve the army, at least he had a purpose to fulfill now… whether he liked it or not.

The battles… horrific, dreadful, bloody… with every battle that Gale survived he felt himself changing. His life so far felt like nothing compared against the things he has witnessed. There was rarely a battle that he participated in that had no mass casualties. Carcasses of Alliance soldiers and Pact soldiers lying around to rot in the harsh battlefield, those still alive but unable to move themselves left to die whether they be crushed under the footsteps of the enemy… or their own comrades. Gale felt his mind deteriorating as he served through the years, truly considering his part in how the world works… he felt that his life only meant little to other people, another necessary sacrifice in order to hold the Pact at bay.

Within the Army Gale picked up some skills as an archer. Although he was officially designated as a field medic Gale sometimes fought in battles with a bow and quiver of arrows. He further improved on his skills as a medic, learning from the more educated and experienced medics, sometimes even getting tips and tricks from field surgeons.

One day, as he was thrown into another battle. Starting out about as same as always. Gale was left at the rear along with the archers, keeping back as a support unit until… a regiment of Orcs came rushing towards the archer lines. With a demoralizing loss against the Pact only a few days prior the ranks immediately began to break, everyone running for their lives. Luck be against him, Gale was knocked off his feet by a strike of a warhammer from an orc that was barreling towards him. He was left to face an orc, ready to tear him apart into pieces. Gale, with no weapons that he can use, attempted to grasp for whatever he could use against the behemoth. His hands felt upon some kind of… object, glancing at it he realized it was an amulet, a round crystal with a sapphire like sheen to it. He knew nothing of how to use artifacts like these, but out of sheer desperation he directed his hand towards the orc angrily stomping towards him. With a silent prayer he activated the amulet, then suddenly a blast of water hit against the orc. It was a measly blast though, nothing harmful. At that moment Gale thought his life was over, now having to go against a further agitated orc, but then a small group of knights in shining armour and lances came crashing against the very same orc. Seems like he’ll live another day… now with a water elemental amulet.

At the age of 80, Gale was still stuck serving the Alliance Forces. Now a grizzled veteran he knew his way around and was expected to be respected by… but that never applied to Gale. He was disliked by his superiors and subordinates alike just because of his history but Gale’s history in the army caught the attention of the Alliance Forces High Command. A few days later he received a sealed letter, notifying him of a transfer from the main forces to a more… ‘appropriate’ sect of the Alliance Forces. Upon transfer he found out he was found to be part of the Elite Forces… his life was going to just get harder.

Even more of his life he spent fighting for the Elite Forces, taking on tasks that were far too dangerous for any regular forces to take on. He was treated the same as he was treated in the Alliance Forces, at this point in life he cared little for how he was treated having been desensitized to it all. He was further trained within the Elite Forces, being taught to use his artifact in the most basic manners just for the sake of it rather than any practical use in combat. His role was a field medic and an archer within the Force. For multiple decades he participated in some of the riskiest operations that the Alliance Forces have ever undertaken. His life… seemed to revolve around everything and anything military… how long would he be dragged into such a cycle?

When he turned 98 he formally retired from military duties, having been given the option, being honourably discharged. After nearly a lifetime of fighting in the Alliance Forces he was at a loss on what to do. He bought a house outside the walls of Falkvard but from there on… the future for him was blind. He accumulated a great amount of wealth throughout the years but it wasn’t going to last him another 225 years. With no one to contact he was left on his own with a sizable house but nothing to do. He felt like he was thrown back into square one, but just with a huge amount of money to spend and a house… he spent the first year or so of his retirement collecting and buying books to read, rarely spending more than a whole day outside of his house. Gale walked the familar streets of Falkvard during the day, trying to learn more about… normal society and normal people. The city was heavily destroyed but reconstruction and restoration was happening at an impressively fast rate. He slowly assimilated himself into human society, posing as a regular human himself. No sane elf would accept a person like Gale into their society, especially with a history like his, he was already far apart from any regular elven culture.

Gale slowly began involving himself more and more, ultimately landing him a job as a medic within the local hospital at Falkvard, just like old times. Everyone thought him to be human, thanks to his mass of hair covering his pointed ears, and he kept this veil of shroud. He changed his past… past experience having told him that his past was a shameful one rather than perhaps a depressing one as most people may consider it to be. Gale carried on with his life, now socially interacting with humans. After 70 years of never having communicated with someone at a social basis, everything just rushed back to him. He began to slowly feel again… a wave of emotions… it felt so… unnatural… this whole time he locked away all sense of emotion remaining stoic and cold but… this was new. He built up a set of personalities, friendly, kind, and… happy… was he truly happy? It conflicted with him… but to become part of normal life he had to put a facade of happiness, his depressing life always bothered him but if happiness, however artificial, was what it took to be normal he was more than willing to put on a veil of joy.

His ‘normal’ life seemed normal to everyone else… people began approaching him. It was working. This mist of untruthfulness was what it took for people to turn around and talk to him for even just a little. Gale wasn’t being honest with himself, lying about his past and his race, it felt wrong deep inside but he couldn’t bring himself around to be truthful about those. For years having been lonely… nobody to interact with… it all came pouring out of him. It’s almost sad, pathetic… depressing… but social interaction, that’s all that mattered… right?

During his peaceful period of retirement he continued to study to further his knowledge of the world, teaching himself everything and anything he found to be intriguing. Despite his new socially active life he liked to keep some ‘me-time’ reserved for himself to get to know more about the world he lived, plunge into the masses of knowledge that society has collected throughout the years, as a bonus it helped him cope with all the nightmares and flashes of his dark past that he recalled at times… During this time he never bothered to practice much magic, rather focusing on better himself in terms of knowledge instead of arcane skills.

Gale’s ‘normal’ life came to an abrupt halt when the very gates of hell broke loose. He knew what was about to make his way to his mailbox… only after a few days did he precisely get what he expected. A sealed letter calling him back into duty, whether he liked it or not. With an emergency of this scale they were in need of troops. He resumed his life as a man of the military, operating within the Elite Forces once more. Gale cast away his facade of happiness, friendliness, and kindness, times like this friends or acquaintances were meaningless… again treated like trash… After multiple more years dealing with the roaming creatures of hell, the final attack of the Alliance Forces was put into action. Gale himself was there to witness the action in hell… Now with the portal sealed he was once again left to his own devices. Out of a sporadic decision he decided to sell his house off and head back to Barkamsted… in the process donating nearly all of his fortune to the hospital. Perhaps he’ll find a new purpose in Barkamsted, to start a new life.

Onwards he went…

You’re walking around the markets at around noon. There’s a lot of people around you, still gathering their items as they prepare to shut down their many stands. Suddenly you feel a gentle lifting of your coin purse as a child graces you and soon after they take off sprinting. You have been robbed.

Gale spun on his heels only to see the figure of a small child begins to shove through the crowds of people, causing the unsuspecting patrons hopping in their spot out of sheer surprise. Gale began to give chase, dragged down by the masses of people blocking his way forcing him to resort to some shoving in order to swim past the crowd. He burst through the ocean of people, a clear open space before him with the boy trying to create distance. Gale’s feet were light on the cobble paved road as he chased down the boy. “Wait!” He cried out with his right hand stretched out, already rapidly gaining on the little thief, a fearful gaze seen from the boy as he looked over his shoulder to Gale. After a mere few seconds he caught the little thief by the collar of the boy’s raggedy tunic, the boy dropping his coin purse on the road. They’ve gone a little ways off from the market square, surprisingly far less people roaming the streets around this part of town. Gale spun the boy around quite forcefully and grasped him on both shoulders. “Now there young man, thievery is a punishable offense you must realize.” Gale spoke with a small grin on his face as if acting friendly, but the boy merely attempted to struggle out of his holds with a panicked expression. Gale glanced at the dropped coin purse, his hand bursting out to snatch it. Cautiously letting go of the boy he counted out a sizable portion of his money, tossing it over to the thief. “Here’s a reward for your effort. Next time try to snatch from an easier target.” He then immediately turned around, heading back to the market square. Behind him the boy only looking abashed with the small pile of coin in his hands.

You’re heading back to the city through the woods when you hear a whining coming from nearby. Upon further investigation you come across a grey-coloured wolf that appears to have its leg caught in a bear trap. Around it is three smaller lumps of fur, obviously puppies belonging to the trapped mother. Without help, they’ll all die, but wolf skins are quite valuable too, not to mention that the nearby farms suffer quite a bit from the wolf population.

Gale curiously glanced at the grey wolf, the wolf in response baring its sharp teeth towards Gale with a low growl as if asserting its dominance over the human looking above him. He took note of the pups lying nearby their trapped mother. Without much hesitation Gale drew out his iron dagger, at the sight of the shiny weapon the mother wolf growled a little louder and a much more snarly expression. “Calm down… it’ll be alright.” Gale spoke with a very reassuring tone, trying his best to calm the wolf down. He shoved the dagger between the teeth of the bear trap, using the dagger as a lever of sorts he attempts to pry the trap open. It takes him a few moments but in the end Gale successfully pulls the bear trap open, albeit at the cost of his dagger which snapped in half. “Curses…” He said with a sigh holding the snapped dagger. “Oh well…

Guess I’ll just buy a new one.”

The mother wolf that was now freed from the bear trap remained where she was, bleeding from the wound caused by the vicious trap. The little pups were surrounding the leg licking at the injury in order to somehow stem it. Gale stood up from his crouched position, beginning to stride away but halted midway his consciousness poking at him saying ‘The job’s not done yet, Gale!’. With a sigh and a groan he went back to the mama wolf who seemed a lot less hostile than their initial confrontation. “Right, time to get you propped up again.” Gale slung off his leather backpack, beginning to rummage through the contents finally finding a roll of clean bandage. He gently pushed the pups away from the injured leg, the pups yapping in protest but nonetheless staying in their newly moved positions. He began to wrap the bandage around the wound, the wolf stayed more or less calm letting out a growl or two in pain but keeping steady. With the job done Gale picked up his backpack, standing up. The mother wolf glanced towards Gale before beginning to head deeper into the woods with the pups trailing behind their mother.

Gale was never much a stickler for magic, he finds it to be cumbersome but that may only be the case because he seldom uses his abilities. The discovery of his first artifact was quite accidental, trying to fight an orc weaponless only to find an artifact and attempted to use it against the orc. As a high-elf he was aware that he had a high chance of being able to wield magic yet it was still an unexpected discovery for him.

His magical ability was the only thing that didn’t change internally about Gale as he transitioned from the abused orphan to the more energetic and amiable person. Thus he refused to expand on his knowledge of magic and his magical powers, thinking that it would be reminiscing his past; if anything his past was something he never wished to remember but yet… as time passes people change. He left Falkvard, a familiar environment to him, in search of a new life, something that he can pursue with a true passion. With this idea in mind, the first thing that came into mind was his magical skills… despite what he believed, maybe… just maybe, this was something he could focus his powers unto, his power to wield magic. Such a radical idea never crossed his mind yet the more he thought, the less he began to worry of its ties to his past life. This was something he could invest time to hone upon, enhance, and finally master...

As a rogue-like character, who doesn’t seem to fall into any clique or group, it only seems fit for Gale to have the power to use magic. Atop of that with a thirst for knowledge to further enhance himself it feels only appropriate for my character to receive magical abilities. He may not have bothered to hone his arcane abilities during his period of retirement but now with nothing much better to do it seems about due time for Gale that he begins training in order to further himself as a more capable being.

-Please give an example in your own words describing the limitations placed upon those who use magic (This should be at least one well-crafted paragraph):

Magic in Saphriel are limited by multiple things. A caster in the realms of magical abilities must train themselves to further expand what little pool of energy they have in order to be able to utilize much more advanced abilities. Failing to do so and skipping right to the usage of much more advanced techniques, the user may cause injury or even death in severe cases.

Not only is the expansion of the caster’s energy important but the range of power that the artifact is capable of handling is also of utmost importance. Each level of power can hold more arcane energy than the previous level of power, the caster must keep the tier of their artifact in mind when utilizing magic as the artifact may overload and shatter, regardless of how much energy that the user is capable of holding themselves.

Another limitation, is one’s magical potential. With each there are varying chances of having magical potential, which in layman’s term means the ability to wield magic. Atop of this there are only limited amounts of ‘aspect’ that one may be able to learn and master. High Elves have the highest number of magical aspects that they can learn while Dark Elves have none as they are incapable of utilizing magic altogether.

The use of magic in Saphriel is dictated by the use of magical artifacts and the pool of energy available by the caster. Artifacts are devices in which arcane energy is channeled through and turned into magical effects. Depending on the tier of the artifact one may be able to focus even more energy into an artifact. Another important part of the magic system is arcane energy. A caster must train themselves to expand their pool of energy and be capable of using more powerful magical effects.

-You are given a weak trinket of Water, you haven't had much practice with magic yet, but you will try your best. Describe some things you could/would do with this trinket:

At first, as Gale isn’t able to do much, he would most likely focus on manipulating small bodies of water in manners of creating ripples, shifting currents around, or even attempting to manipulate objects in the body of water. He is already capable of doing these tricks but as he needs to expand his energy he would continue practicing these until he is capable of performing more elaborate stunts/

You start with one aspect only. You gain the rest of them (How ever many your race may have) of your own choice through further RP, however you will not be able to attain them immediately.

You can magically weigh me? Fine, seventy-eight pounds. Might want to watch out too, got eyes green like envy I do. My hair? What are you on about, can you only hear my voice or somthin'? It's brown and I've got it in a ponytail ya clot. Now skedaddle, you're wearin' my patience. Asking questions about my looks."

Never really expected to be a smith though. Now mind you I ain't too masterful in the stuff, I can make most blades and some crude armour but it's nothin' compared to what masters can do. Anyway back to my mind and all. I guess I'm a positive person, like thinking everyone has everyone else's back. I can memorize to the dot on an "i" most scripture and schematics but my memory of places and events are actually pretty hazy. I like planning but don't usually go through with it. Oh! Actually I have this, it's a phrase to freeze whoever is struck by the wielder of the weapon! Albeit, don't know if the artifact will decide the wielder is the one struck by it when they pick 'er up. Probably'll lose it but I can make another one like it. Where you goin'? What do you mean 'Got all we need.'? Who's we? Where'd you-"

-Character biography: "Another one of you? You didn't let me finish my thought last time. Oh, you want to know my history now? Well fine I suppose, but don't run off like the last one did. Anywho, I was born about forty winters ago to my mum and pop, Hrothgar and Silve'ne. To my knowledge it was a short lived relationship that ended in my brother Hroth, my sister Freya, and your's truly. Pop took care of us mostly, although we were hidden because, well we're dwelves. Mum never came around much, apparently she dislikes Pop due to some reason we've never been enlightened upon. In any case, when I showed some aptitude for smithing Pop pretty much threw me at the only elder smith who would take me, Drinsil. The times were alright, I got spat on a few times by the other apprentices because I wasn't a dwarf, and got kicked out of a few meetings for the same but Drinsil was approving and helped me get through it all. Eventually I had learned all I needed to learn and promptly got a kick on the fanny to get me moving. Is there anything I'm missin'. I wandered for a bit, saw some of the ruins of the world before hearin' about this city then I ended up here talking to you robe-boys. My romantic life? It's nonexistent, no one's struck my fancy to be quite blunt about it. Oh, you wanna hear about my time during that whole 'Demons invade the world' ordeal? To be honest with ya' I wasn't much, I was livin' in Jotunhelm, which sounds big until you realize it's a small town located in buggerall nowhere. We saw some pickets but nothing that the town guard couldn't take down with little death. Most of my time I was smithing, making weapons n' armour for the guards and the like. We held out. Our little village had maybe fifty people so that might account for it, what with the whole cities are burned down and such they likely di'nt decide we were worth the trouble. Never really did much besides that, mostly been a footnote. Think that about covers it."

Anamaria jumps at the feeling, turning to see the running child "You rascal get back here!" She begins to chase the child, eventually losing it in the crowds of people "Blast it." Anamaria kicks the ground and looks at the closing stores, blowing a stray lock of hair out of her eyes.

Do you have any prior roleplay-related experience, if so could you give an example?

I began as a forum role-player on GaiaOnline, involved in mainly high/low/urban fantasy storylines about 6 years ago. I moved onto PlaneShift for a year after my roleplaying guild on GaiaOnline became inactive (also following an attempt at reviving several storylines via GoogleDocs), then Guild Wars 2 for another two or so years soon afterward. I was introduced to Minecraft as a roleplaying medium, but admittedly, I never felt the need to join public roleplaying servers. Instead, I made the decision to try out roll20 and was involved in several DnD campaigns of varying success. I was once again re-introduced to Minecraft near the end of last year and decided to give this medium a proper try. I've been on a few servers since then.

Define Power-gaming in your own words:

Reacting (typing, really...) in a way that takes another player's character's choice away from them. For example, if you said, "My half-orc thief sneaks up behind your character and smashes their head in with a nearby candle stand, cracking their skull open and causing heavy internal bleeding", that would be power-gaming as you have dictated your action as well as another player character's reaction. What should have been said is, "My half-orc thief attempts to sneak up behind your character and smash their head in." This gives the other player a chance to react appropriately.

I've also seen power-gaming defined as attempting to maximize your character/gains/progress towards a goal at the cost of everything else (for example, min-maxing your character even though the circumstances that would grant you those traits would have a slim chance of happening or the consequences of doing such would logically make it hard for your character to live in society), but I believe this definition is not as common as the one stated above

Define Meta-gaming in your own words:

Meta-gaming happens when OOC information that has no logical way of being known ICly is used ICly. For example, if there is a forum post stating that there are flyers around the city promoting a carnival coming into the area in 2 IRL days, and your character is in/is allowed into the city ICly, then s/he can use the information ICly in RP (helping promote the event, talking about it etc.). If a player is absolutely smashed after a hearty evening of drinking and brags that they are going to set fire to the library in OOC chat and you ICly permanently intervene by neatly cracking their character's skull open with a nearby candle stand, that would be meta-gaming because logically, your character would have no way of knowing that.

Define Role-Playing in your own words:

At the risk of sounding sarcastic, the word actually describes itself. You are 'playing' a 'role' at the very heart of it.

Roleplaying is the act of creating a character, stepping into their shoes and experiencing the world through their eyes, much like an actor or actress does when they are given a character to portray and a script to memorize. Except in this case, you have no script of any sort at all, just your character and the basic setting for the time and place that the stage takes place on - commonly referred to as Lore.

A basic understanding of the Lore will ensure high-levels of character immersion for any roleplayer.

With dark-grey skin and swirling ember-like orange tattoos, Sahkidagh cuts an impressive figure due to his robust physique and rather tall height of 7'4". Heavily corded with muscle due to his Orcish heritage and weighing over 200lbs, he lumbers and trudges more than he walks, depending on his longer stride to make up for his slower speed. His attire can be described as 'savage' or 'tribal', merely consisting of leather accessories and pants that have been worn with use and travel with little nothing else. He wears no clothing on his upper torso, preferring to only cover his heart with pads of leather dyed a maroon red (this is also where he keeps his more valuable belongings, such as his secondary coin pouch), much like his left shoulder pauldrons and leather boots. A leather belt, hanging diagonally over his back and attached to another around his waist, holds his satchel, wineskin and various sized pouches. The waist belt also attaches his pants and loincloth firmly around his pelvis, preserving his modesty.

Perhaps he should invest in wearing more protective clothing as he bears the marks of previous battles on his body despite reaching adulthood a mere two years ago. Raised lines and splotches of pinkish-grey can be seen littering his body, most noticeably on his forearms. The most distinguishable scar he has, however, can be seen on his face; one of his protruding lower teeth have been snapped off roughly halfway down its length, thus earning his moniker "half-tusk". As a result, the constant irritation from the tooth is most likely the main reason why he has such an angry look in his red eyes and deep furrows in his brow. His hair, jet-black and glossy like ravens' feathers, is pulled back into a neat, short pony-tail, keeping the hair from his eyes.

As for accessories, Sahkidagh has his forearms covered in sturdy leather bracers, frequently replaced due to the roughness with which he treats them with. Several large canines, coming from predatory wildlife, hang in a row around his neck, all threaded through by a braided leather thong. Amongst the tangle teeth lies a crude whistle made out of bone that hangs from a separate leather string.

Character personality and traits (At least one to two paragraphs describing their personality traits and/or quirks.):

If Sahkidagh can be summed up in one word, that word would be: grumpy. Rarely seen without a frown on his face and a deep furrow knitting his brow, he can be likened to an irritated hound, snapping his jaws at the slightest provocation. His bark is worse than his bite, however, as his outbursts, despite how frequent they are, rarely go beyond threatening words and a lot of angered posturing. If he is truly mad, he will say nothing at all, but seethe with such anger that it all but radiates from him like a furnace. Prickly as a cactus in his homeland beyond the Jagged Mountains, Sahkidagh is a little tough to get along with initially, but will warm up quickly to those who he considers good company. Of course, a chilly tankard of ale or two (or three! He's a big one, after all...) will cool his constantly fraying temper and mellow him out. He is surprisingly affectionate to his friends - who are sadly few and far in between - often patting them on the back or squeezing their shoulders in a sign of camaraderie.

Desiring success and filled with ambition, Sahkidagh craves power and the recognition and glory it holds. Being the youngest of three, brothers all, he constantly found himself wanting to escape from his siblings' shadows. As a young Orc, he had initially wanted to become the leader of his tribe, but after finding out that the current Chieftain had a bad case of nepotism (as well as too many sons for Sahkidagh to deal with), he set his sights elsewhere in hopes of finding a friendlier starting ground. To this day, he still holds hope that he would be able to carve out his own destiny in the lands of Saphriel.

Sahkidagh understands that he may not be the strongest, and he is definitely not the fastest or the most cunning, but he understands the power of numbers and the efficiency of a well-coordinated team. He had a penchant for raising hounds in his homeland, and although he had to leave his little pack behind when he started his journey to Saphriel, he still holds (or attempts to hold) a commanding, and at times, intimidating, presence. If caught alone in a fight by himself, he would take a moment or two to think of a quick strategy before fully immersing himself into the battle.

Normally speaking in a rumbling baritone, Sahkidagh bluntly speaks his mind, often treating other people's feeling callously. It's clear that he means no ill-intent or holds no malicious feelings when he does, but merely an expression of his straightforwardness.

Character biography (At least three paragraphs describing your character's history and experiences):

Born in the deserts and mecas in the Far East as the youngest of five orc brothers, Sahkidagh mostly grew up under the wings of his siblings and his mother. His father was called away to be garrisoned at Barkamstead when he was but several years of age; Sahkidagh could count the number of times he had met his father after he left on a single hand before the older male had met his untimely death. His mother didn't grieve and neither did he nor his brothers.

As the youngest, he was pressed into helping his mother out with the household while his older brothers trained day and night, all but one of them having aspirations of becoming a Rider, gloriously charging into combat shouting praises to Uldir while mounted on their steed. The second oldest had wanted to become a blacksmith and was currently in an apprenticeship with one of the older masters. At times, he resented their freedom, but took pride in the fact that their family hounds liked him the best, often trailing underfoot, tongues lolling, when he left to complete an errand. Under the guidance of his mother, Sahkidagh learned the basics of being a hunter-gatherer, learning how to fend for himself in the wilds. While he was too young to join in on the larger hunting parties, Sahkidagh brought back small prey and unrefined resources that he gathered back to his tribe.

He passed his youthful years uneventfully, growing broad across the shoulders and chest as his kind are wont to do and earning his tattoos through trials of combat. He began to take an interest in hound-taming in his teenaged years, often spending his free time training the family pets and taking several with him on hunting trips. Sahkidagh soon caught the attention of a hound-master, and much like his second oldest, was then taken under her wing as an apprentice. He studied dutifully under her, eager to learn all she had to know. And when a new generation of family pets was born, he would take what he has learned from his teacher as well as from training their parents and made them to be even more obedient than their predecessors. They hung onto his every command and his shoulders if he had an arm to spare. For a while, it seemed like he had found his place in his tribe. He was sure that in a dozen or so more years, he would have amassed enough hounds and allies to challenge whoever was chief then for their rank.

But his elder brother's greed changed that. Wanting Sahkidagh's precious hunting hounds for himself, he attempted to claim ownership of them by force. Naturally, Sahkidagh refused and they soon came to blows during their arguement. His brother - bigger, stronger and older than him by two years - landed several hits that broke a collarbone and snapped one of his lower teeth in half. While Sakhidagh managed to give his brother several bruises and a bleeding nose, he was unable to cause any major damage to his elder sibling. Furious at the insubordination that Sahkidagh was showing, Karga continued to thrash his younger brother in a rage. Fearful of his life, Sahkidagh jerked his bone-whistle to his mouth and blew two sharp blasts as he curled up in a defensive position, attempting to fend his brother off with his remaining free hand.

His hounds did a much better job at fending off his brother than he ever could.

With his brother chased off, he recalled his hounds to him, laying amongst them before he succumbed to his wounds and fell unconscious. Needless to say, his mother was not pleased at all when she returned from her errands and saw the state of her two youngest sons. She nursed them both back to full health over the next several weeks before beating them black and blue for their immaturity.

Realizing that he wasn't never going to have the support of his elder sibling and wanting to avoid any more animosity and strife in the future, Sahkidagh decided to leave his tribe and head west. Following the footsteps of his father, he crossed into Saphriel and made his way towards Barkamstead, leaving his hopes of becoming chieftain and more importantly, his beloved hounds, behind.

You’re walking around the markets at around noon. There’s a lot of people around you, still gathering their items as they prepare to shut down their many stands. Suddenly you feel a gentle lifting of your coin purse as a child graces you and soon after they take off sprinting. You have been robbed.

As he was quite tall, Sahkidagh wouldn't notice the much smaller thieving child, continuing to gaze out towards the stalls and wondering if they will reopen later during the day. It wouldn't be until some time later when he needed to pay for something that he would realize that the coin pouch hanging off his belt was missing. Expressing his irritation with a snarl, he would openly threaten to flay the culprit alive should he catch them before reaching for his secondary coin pouch to pay for his purchase. His mood is soured considerably for the rest of the day.

You’re heading back to the city through the woods when you hear a whining coming from nearby. Upon further investigation you come across a grey-coloured wolf that appears to have its leg caught in a bear trap. Around it is three smaller lumps of fur, obviously puppies belonging to the trapped mother. Without help, they’ll all die, but wolf skins are quite valuable too, not to mention that the nearby farms suffer quite a bit from the wolf population.

His heart softening at the sight of the wounded wolf, Sahkidagh would attempt to gauge the wolf's general countenance. If the mother appears to react violently to any move that he makes, he would go grab a large stick before knocking out the mother wolf with several smacks to the head before trying to extract her from the bear trap. Either way, he would do his best to free the wolf from the trap before taking all four of them under his wing. He does this in the hopes that he would be able to tame and train them all at a later date. He still misses his family hounds very much.

*Lark lets out a cry of surprise and runs after the young child, hoping to catch up to him, without that pouch she wouldnt be able to do much more travling, he trips and drops her pouch, but seeing that she is almost ontop of him he grabs a few coins and runs off, Lark retrieving her coin bag.*

A soft, lilting hum filled the cool autumn air. Heavy footsteps follow the voice, soft thuds connecting with the ground as the man walks. With each soft step, the man's voice grows a little louder, a little more sad.

"If you keep humming like that," the boy next to him spoke up, his own footsteps accompanying the first set, "you're going to scare off all the game. I would like to eat tonight." The boy was his apprentice, a man of simply twenty years old. He was young, and much shorter compared to Rivan. He was training the young lad in the way of the sword. As a young boy, Rivan was taught by his mother to wield, and has since become a near-master in the art.

"Oh, please," the first grunted, voice deep and gravelly, "if a little singing scares the deer away so much that you can't catch one while it's runnin', you don't deserve to eat, lad." A small smile tugs at the man's lips, head cocking to the side.

"You know that you wouldn't be able to get it either, Rivan," the younger said, looking up at the man in front of him. Rivan was taller than him by a long shot, eyeing the younger boy that he had taken as a travelling companion. The two had grown closer over time, but their friendship still remained playful and competitive.

The peace between the two men was cut short, sliced with an arrow through the younger's neck. The seconds passed like years as he watches his companion's body drop like a doll to the ground, fragile, his pale skin as if it were made of porcelain. Rivan felt his arm jerk to the side as another arrow buried itself into his arm. However, he did not feel the pain; instead, he felt a soft rush of darkness lulling him to sleep.

His lips curled into a deep, grating snarl, hands moving toward the nearest pickaxe- a simple tool with a handle carved of ash wood, the head made of a heavy steel. That had been their first mistake; they had assumed that the men that they held in cages, branded with their irons, beat with their whips, were broken. That they had broken them long ago and had not a thing to worry about. Besides, they thought; what could a slave do with a simple pick, when we have swords?

The small slaving caravan ran under the false title of a trading company. Under this guise, they captured younger, susceptible men from the roads by luring them in with food and drink, before drugging and kidnapping them. Each young man was branded between the back of his shoulders with a deep circular mark burned into the skin.

The mark was thought to discourage them from escaping or rebelling, as it was easy to tell previously-owned slaves from the rest. His skin was worn and leathery, but he retained his youthful features, albeit je appeared a bit older due to his now-growing beard. The guards of the caravan didn't expect a man to trigger an explosion in the mine they were forced to work in, however. The explosives were used for controlled demolition. In most situations, the explosives were locked in the back of the caravan, only retrieved by the caravan's guards when needed for demolition. However, with a bit of work at the lock with one of the pickaxes, it was easily broken into by two of the larger slaves.

Rivan's fingers clasped around the handle of the pickaxe and he hefted it, resting it over his shoulder with one hand. Two years of mining, two long, pained years of being whipped, starved, abused. It was a wonder how much he managed to keep fit and healthy, regularly stealing portions after everyone had gone to sleep. It had been easy, nearly effortless to sneak past the guards - he may have been a large man, but they weren't particularly attentive.

He weaved his way through the crowd of slaves and slavers, the group stampeding like a mad herd of deer toward the nearest fence that lined the outskirts of the mine. Rivan shoved past a guard or two, and when one placed his hand on the slave's shoulder, he jerked his shoulder back, swinging the blunt edge of the pickaxe into the man's head. Of course, were he in any other situation, he would have simply knocked the man out instead of likely killing him. But this was a mad dash for freedom, a mad dash to get himself and his companions out of their prison. A mad dash for revenge for the young boy he had become so close with those years ago.

The stampede split into three different directions once out of the gate with few straying from different paths. Those that were mad or sick in the head ran toward the rising sun. The others carried malnourished, ill slaves, sprinting down the roads while the others behind them fought off the guards. The heavy smell of smoke and gunpowder clung to Rivan's beard, filling his lungs. You would think, after time, your body would grow accustomed to the poor conditions of the mine. But even months later, he was still coughing up dust and ash from a previous collapse that had taken three men in his squad. Blood slipped down his back, down his forehead and hand from where he was snagged by a guard's blade and hit in the head. Driven by an unknown force, his legs dragged him along, arms pumped by his side, as it all became a faint blur.

A man has to make a living to eat, and when you are an escaped slave, word among others spreads quickly. His work was simple work; the blood spilled by his hands no longer phased him; at least, he didn't yet allow himself to realize what he had done. It was the purpose, the job of a mercenary to do what he was told in order to make himself a living. Even with a heavy purse at his belt, he felt no joy, no confidence. The man felt like an empty shell, and he hadn't the faintest idea if he could be fixed. But as he boarded the ship, something ached in his chest. Hope? Fear? He could no longer recognize the feelings, but it was something. And so, gripping his chest, he looked into the water with resolve.

Rivan would chase after the child for a short time before sighing and letting him go, a pickpocket probably needs it more than he does and there’s always coin to be made elsewhere. He’d wander the streets and alleys after, half hoping to find the thief and half hoping to find some trouble to get into. After an hour or two he’d pull the secret stash of coins from his boot and buy some food, sitting down somewhere shady to enjoy it.

Rivan is too much of a soft heart to let the wolf die. He’d take his time to show her that he means no harm before releasing her and stepping away from the puppies. Once the wolf is gone he would destroy the trap and search for others, they are cruel and he hates them.

While your application was well written and enjoyed thoroughly, there were a few problems with it. Starting with the age which Gale had enlisted into the military which would have been prior to the war. This brings up his occupation, which leads to our second problem that states he was a professional archer, due to his time in the military. Now while it makes sense that he would definitely be skilled with a bow, you must understand that being seen as a professional sometimes makes it seem like your character always has the advantage when it comes to fighting. Though if you make some simple revisions to your application and fix what I had stated, then I will gladly look over you application again!

I've just fixed up my application and I think it is ready to be looked over once again. Thank you!

I have role-played on Gildorym for 4 years then left to play on vivere for a few months I have helped build and aid in lore from adding what minerals exist and what they can do and be used for to simple race lore.

Is forcing something for example *I stab bob in the lung* what I should emote is *I try to lung at bob with my sword* I can not go for such a direct deadly hit nor just stab them the player must have a chance to defend if hit the other player will emote what has happened to them be it a grunt of pain or grimace etc.

Meta-gaming is using information that you have gain OOCly or Out Of Character, for instance I learn in skype that bob wants me dead and is planning to do it by poisoning me I can not use that information IC my character doesn't know so he doesn't know what's coming nor can I just suddenly be suspicious and assume someone is going to kill me also that person in skype shouldn't have said anything in the first place.

His cloths are basic and not over the top he has a simple build and is fairly toned, and stands proud of himself and is usually relaxed on his belt he has a few small pouches and a satchel at his side of a medium sized made from leather.

Sinthorus was born 28 years ago in the Dark forest. He lived with his parents as a single child, learning skills as he grew there, his father (Zandrick Arunel) was a hunter of those parts and would gather meat, and varies pelts of what the forest floor had to offer, his mother (Timaris Arunel) was a herbalist and would usually ask her husband to look for certain herbs when he hunted. When they had Sinthorus he was a healthy child though with a large amount curiosity by the age of 10 his father was already telling him what each piece of a bow was and different types and would help his mother with varies remedies she made with her herbs.

By the age of 15 he went on his first hunt with his father though never got to use a bow Zandrick insisted he would hurt himself so he merely observed. One night Sinthorus took his fathers bow and left to hunt using everything he had learnt to find any tracks of any sort of animal. Satisfied with some rabbit tracks went off into the woods eager to get his first pelt and show his parents and imagining how proud they would be, He saw the Rabbit and froze a lone wolf had made the rabbit his prey in his eagerness he never thought to look out for predators. The wolf turned its head from killing the rabbit glaring at him Sinthorus frozen in place the wolf look deranged probebly more likely a wild diseased dog than an actual wolf, it droped the rabbit comeing closer bearing its teeth, Sinthorus closed his eyes hopeing he was home safe in bed and this was a bad dream but he knew full well it wasn't and in fear turn and ran the wolf taking fast pursuite. He saw the hut and called out the lights turning on he saw hope only to be pushed to thr ground turning over to see the wild dog drulling all over him, he felt so afriad he closed his eyes expecting death as it prepared to bite his face...but it never came all that came was a yelp his father holding it back stabing with his hunters knife the wild dog manages to bite his arms hard Zandrick yelling in pain, the dog going limp and letting go falling down dead.

His father getting up anger in his red eyes grabed Sinthorus it was a long night Sinthorus was told he is forbidden from leaving this home with him from now on Sinthorus sad he could no longer leave the home and explore like he once did pleaded with his father but he would not listen.

A year past and Zandrick had grown ill, the wild dog bite infecting him his mother caring for him as best she could with remedies she knew, but to no avail. It was up to Sinthorus to hunt and get an income for the family and did so for a few months his fathers condition only worsening. after a hunt gathering a deer pelt returned home to see his mother crying, he knew what that ment he knew his father had to have gone but he kept thinking over and over again somthing else happened, he ran inside to find his father not breathing and gone from this world falling to his knees droping everthing cried for what seemed like hours. His mother came in puting a hand on his shoulder comforting him, it was just them now and he knew it was up to care for his ageing mother.

By the age of 20 Sinthrous had become a decent hunter and tracker knowing how old trails were and fashioning simple arrows. The last 4 years were quite for his mother and him, and the seasons had been fair they had little contact with the other communities and lived alone as always, now and again Sinthorus would track somthing down for a villager ot get some pelts for any wayward trading posts or carvans. By the age of 26 he had grown it a fine young man and after a hunt and having supper with his mother she spoke to him about leaving on a journy in remembereance of his father, for it was somthing they had planed and to leave the place in his name, Sinthorus only had his mother left and knew she was getting old and promised to get her everything she needs and understands the love they had he was also letting her go for his own sake for Sinthorus blamed himself for his fathers death and his mothers face brought memories of the past.

After a few years liveing alone he could not maintain the hope and his mothers garden by himself so seeing the old place falling apart he deemed it was his turn to leave. He left his fathers knife and bow taking only his cloths and a few items thinking it respectful it rests there with him by his fathers grave they made outside the home, and now he will go and see what the world has in store for him, traveling the world of Saphriel.

You’re walking around the markets at around noon. There’s a lot of people around you, still gathering their items as they prepare to shut down their many stands. Suddenly you feel a gentle lifting of your coin purse as a child graces you and soon after they take off sprinting. You have been robbed.

I would chase after the child pushing through the crowds that are leaving for home, on catching the child I would drag him into an alley and covering his mouth so he does not scream taking my gold back I would leave some saying to the child he should try asking instead of taking, pushing the child back I go back into the street walking backwards to make sure he does run past me again then head off counting my coin to see if he took anything and hide it if so, I would learn from this to keep a better eye on my belongings.

You’re heading back to the city through the woods when you hear a whining coming from nearby. Upon further investigation you come across a grey-coloured wolf that appears to have its leg caught in a bear trap. Around it is three smaller lumps of fur, obviously puppies belonging to the trapped mother. Without help, they’ll all die, but wolf skins are quite valuable too, not to mention that the nearby farms suffer quite a bit from the wolf population.

I would approach the wolf slowly making sure to keep my distance from the cubs wary they may even try to protect their mother but more out of fear if the mother lashes out if I get near the bear trap, moving closer I would inspect her wound if it is a broken leg I can not heal it, so seeing the pups I draw my bow shooting the mother clear through the heart, picking up the few pups I take them to someone who could care for them given a traveller I can't care for pups. I would leave them at a rangers home or hunters lodge some place that may take them in but I would consider keeping the smallest one feeling others may treat it badly as if it were the Runt. After the wolf pups are some place safe to be raised I walk on now with a small pup of my own I shall name Ihal.

Just because my character has skills with a bow and herbs doesn't mean he is a master of them He knows the basics and archery and herbalism but has negative qualities as well such as not being used to large crowds having never left the dark forest just a note I am pointing out.

Alexander unfortunately does not have a set-job as of yet. He does a few odd jobs to make ends meet, mostly working as a sellsword/mercenary.

Alexander is rather tall for his race, despite being a human, he stands at an impressive 6’3", with a fair skin complexion and dark brown hair. If he is seen without his mask, you will see a dark scar covering a majority of the left-side of his face. This scar was from a burn he received years before. His natural eye color is a soft brown, almost a light amber color to them. If you were to see him with his mask on, however, the mask will be made out of a leather, and metal combination. His hair is, more often than not, combed neatly to the side, with some kind of grease material holding it together nicely.

Alexander is clean-shaven, and commonly presents himself in a neat manner. His usual attire consists of a cotton, short-sleeved, button up with a leather vest. His pants are off a khaki color, blending well with his shin-high boots made of a dark brown leather.

-Character personality and traits:

Alexander is a man who is racked with Depression, and frustration. If you were to line up Alexander with a personality alignment, he would mostly likely fall under Lawful Evil. Alexander is a rather stern man, however, he is usually calm in most situations, never letting his emotions get the best of him, some may even go as far to call him a Sociopath, but Alexander does show empathy, when it’s convenient. His loyalty to those he cares for goes unmatched, and his hostility to his enemies is difficult to waver. Alexander is not one to break a law, however, in-fact he uses the law to his advantage, gaining what he can, with blackmail, extortion, etc. He is a good ally to have, and a fierce foe to halt.

However, he is not the kind of person to lash out at another for no reason. He will show his peers and leaders respect. Unfortunately he does not share this same respect for those below them. He sees the weak and needy as just that, he feels that there is no reason to have your hand out begging.

A noticeable trait of Alexander if a slight twitch on the left side of his face, mostly consisting of a slight raise of his lip. This is caused due to nerve damage from the burn that he received at the age of 18. His left eye will also twitch, but his mask does a good job at covering it up. What really sparks up the issue is stress, if Alexander is going through large amounts of stress, the twitching will spark up.

Alexander looks over at the boy, running off with his money, a look of malice spreads quickly across his face. He keeps a reasonable pace, doing his best to follow the boy, not straining himself to catch him. The boy turns left when he reaches a crossroad, the two guards patrolling the area notice the boy, however pay little attention to him. Alexander then turns onto the same road, pointing at the boy as he noticed the guards, “Stop him! That boy has robbed me!” The boy looks back to see Alexander had been following him, as he turns around he smacks face-first into the gut of one of the guards who had been standing in his way. The boy staggers back, falling on his rear before curling up into the fetal position, knowing defeat has come. By the time Alexander reaches the guard, the boy is in tears, pleading with the guard how “His family is hungry, and sick.” Alexander looks down at the boy, “Well, perhaps that’s karma for being a thief!” He exclaims as he snatches the coin back from the boy. “I’d like to press charges, do whatever it is you do with scum like this.” The two guards nod, grabbing the boy by both his arms, and walking off.

Alexander was walking through the woods, the sun quickly setting, the snow crunching beneath his feet. Off in the distance, he hears a slight whine off past the treeline. As he approaches he sees a wolf, upon closer inspection, he notices the cubs. For the slightest of moments, a frown stretches across Alexander’s face. He pulls a small dagger from his belt, kneeling down to put the wolf down. As he gets closer, the wolf snaps at him, Alexander jumps back, shocked from its reaction. He presses his boot on the wolf’s leg, and now gripping the back of the wolf’s neck, pulling back with a good amount of force. He takes his dagger, and drives it into the side of the wolf’s neck, dragging it across the wolf’s throat. A mixed expression of anger and disgust carved into his face. He steps back, using some of the snow to clean his now, blood-covered face off.

As he turns his attention to the cubs, he follows a similar, yet calmer, procedure to put them down. He then skins all four wolves, carefully, not to tear the skin. Alexander rolls the pelts up carefully, and puts them in his bag, and he continues on his way. As he continues his way to town, he knocks on the door of a nearby shack, and notifies the occupant of the wolf and to get the meat before something else does. He then makes it back into town.

I must be a noob to rp because I’ve never heard of this term before until now. From what I’ve heard Power-gaming is basically the act of initiating a scene without sharing control with the other people in the scene. For example say Phil takes a sword and points it at Coulson. Phil can cut Coulson’s throat but at the same time Coulson has a chance to react and stop it. Making this situation a non power-gaming event, but if Phil took out a gun out of nowhere and just shot Coulson without giving him a chance. That is Power-gaming

I also did not ever hear about this term but I believe that it is the act of using information gained on a character or game, and using it to your advantage. Like for example let’s say Phil is a wanted criminal, and Coulson is a bounty hunter. Phil sees Coulson and Shoots him in the head <power-gaming>. How could Phil kill Coulson without knowing he was a bounty hunter? Well Phil was told about a bounty hunters ign and recognised it as Coulson came in. Phil used information that wasn’t part of the rp to his advantage.

Dez is a friendly down to earth and honorable man but at times he is very distant from everyone. People say that when he is with people he is one of the friendliest guys they have ever met. He will take his lute and sing songs for all his friends. But when he puts on his hood on he becomes something else; the hunter inside him is awakened. He catches sense of his prey and he shows no remorse until the hunt is over. After brutally killing his prey after the hunt is over and he takes off his hood he turns back to a normal sweet and loving down to earth man who wouldn’t hurt a fly.

Dez Maro was very sick the day he was born. Growing up he spent every day seemed like it was going to be his last. When he was 12 his illness grew worse and he barely move his lips to speak. His parents were so desperate they asked a Fae to saved him by putting around his neck a ruby crystal in the shape of a fae. The Fae granted their wish but told them that all magic comes with a price. The parents ignored the fae and let her fly off. The family rejoiced the next day and celebrated until nightfall. But the price still lurked into Dez’s life as when he fell asleep his father grew ill something was wrong with him. It was almost time for Dez’s 13th birthday when his father turned into a werewolf and killed Dez’s mother. Dez was paralysed lying on his bed as his mother's head fell from his father's mouth and rolled on the floor. His father opened his mouth to bite off Dez’s neck but the ruby crystal stopped him. The Fae’s crystal was made to protect the boy and so it did. The ruby crystal gave Dez magical powers and Dez shot a fireball at his father making him run away. As Dez sat on his bed crying and the fae that gave him the necklace appeared. She told him about how all magic comes at a price in his case his life caused his parents to die. Dez in anger took off the crystal and threw it on the ground. As soon as he took it off he started feeling weak. Could it be that the ruby crystal is the thing keeping him alive? The fae laughed even harder as she watched Dez put his parents life in vain by killing himself. He was barely strong enough to pick the crystal up and put it back on. The fae was done laughing when he regained his strength and left. Traumatised and angered Dez reaches for his father's blue jacket that fell off him as he became a werewolf. Putting it on he vowed to his parents to live life and to survive and to hunt down that fae and kill her.

Answer: I’ve been robbed I chase after the child who is younger and faster than I am. But being a hunter I can track anything down. The Chase has become a hunt. I eventually follow the child to a corridor and I grab his shirt. I would pick the child up and hold a fist to the child’s face when I notice his 6 sisters and brothers. With morals being in check I question myself and let the boy go.

Answer: After realising that the wolf was a mother I would release it. Because I would never take a mother away the way my mother was taken from me. But if that wolf ever does betray the honor and mercy I have shown it I would hunt it down and give it no mercy

The ruby crystal necklace Dez wears was created by a fae granting a wish from his parents. It is tethered to Dez’s soul thus keeping him alive. Containing all the magical properties it protects Dez as it is a part of him. Because this magical item is a part of Dez’s life he is able to tap into its abilities when he needs to.

-Please give an example in your own words describing the limitations placed upon those who use magic (This should be at least one well-crafted paragraph): Magic is kind of like a muscle you can use the stronger you train your magic the more powerful things you can use. But it is also limited to the type of trinket that you’re using for you can’t use an ice wand to cause a fire.

Magic is in all of us it’s our life force. We are all born with it but having the skill to channel it is difficult to control. When using a trinket being able to put just the right amount of magic through it one must be skilled at in order not to break it.

-You are given a weak trinket of light, you haven't had much practice with magic yet, but you will try your best. Describe some things you could/would do with this trinket:

light is an ability unlike any other element. I would use it to see in the dark as a beginner but as I get stronger in the ability of light I can use it to create illusions and cloak myself putting my mana through it. But I’m just a beginner so I can only use it to see in the dark.
