I can honestly say that through my years of role play, i have never had this much much fun in one server, the admins are interactive, and drive the plot quite nicely, not to mention the politics in this server are great!
Great server, lots of fun with plenty of experienced roleplayers and interesting characters, as well as incredibly active admins and tons of events. The only thing it's lacking is more people, so join now!
Age: I’d prefer not to give out my age, if that’s alright.

Previous Roleplay Experience: I've played on multiple RP servers during the past few years, and attempted to start up my own a while back (it never went live due to lack of funds). At a time, I was staff on an RP server. I organize, GM, and play many tabletop RPGs with my friends, and I've even created my own games.
What is Roleplay?: Roleplaying is when you take on a character's personality, backstory, etc. and act as that character would, normally by interacting with other such characters in a fictitious world.
What is Meta-gaming?: Metagaming is using information learned OOC, IC, when the character would have no way of knowing that information.
What is Power-gaming?: Powergaming is essentially controlling other characters, or forcing them into situations. Example:
Person A: *goes to slash at Person B’s side*
Person B: *dodges the sword, and stabs Person A in the chest, killing them instantly*
Person B would be powergaming because they didn’t give Person A an opportunity to react to their action. Person A, however, gave Person B the chance to react by using the words *goes to __*.
Reason for joining?: A few months ago, I had some pretty nasty experiences at an old RP server (now closed), and I decided to take a break for for a bit. I started to get back into Minecraft recently, and I wanted to find an RP server to play on. I decided to apply here because the community seems pretty cool, the lore and setting are intriguing, and the staff seem professional and nice.
IC:
What is your character's name?: Devon Steelbreaker
What is your character's race, and culture/origin?: Guld father, Crownlander mother. Raised in Rowan.
What is your character's age?: 29 years old.
What are your character's skills?: Devon is very skilled with his hand-and-a-half sword. He prefers to wield it using two hands, but can switch to one if the need arises. He is very strong, and good at hand-to-hand combat. He’s a skilled tactician and military commander. When he wants something, he’ll do everything in his power to get it -- making him very determined. He has some medical knowledge due to his time fighting.
What are your character's weaknesses?: Devon can be very controlling. He’s ineloquent, and has a bit of a short temper. He can get very broody. As said in the personality paragraph, he’s biased against Gulds. He can be blinded by a desire for revenge or justice.
What is your character's personality?: Devon’s main motivations are vengeance and power -- although he will always use honorable methods to get what he wants, in fear of being just as bad as his enemies. He is a righteous man. If someone does harm to someone or something he cares for greatly, he can sometimes be blinded by a desire for revenge, and will have to calm down before he can see the moral greys. Despite that, he is a skilled military commander. He’s generally quite gruff, stern, and reserved. He tends not to make very many friends, as he feels that he doesn’t need them. The only friends he does have are people he’s fought side by side with, who’ve risked their
lives for him, and vice versa. Devon is biased against Gulds -- he thinks practically all of them are inherently cruel, except if he’s faced with unquestionable evidence towards the contrary.
What does your character look like?: Devon has a warrior’s build, with a very muscular and tall body. He has dark brown hair, similar to his Crownlander mother, and sports a beard. He has two different colored eyes, one dark blue and the other a lighter shade of blue. He has a very rugged and moderately handsome appearance. He wears a steel chestplate and shoulder guards, with chainmail underneath.
Character Background (3-4 paragraphs, Childhood, Major life events, reasons for coming to Eastfell): Devon Steelbreaker is the orphan son of a Guld raider and a Crownlander peasant girl. He was conceived when his father, Aeson Firehelm, met Alissa, a young woman living in Seaport, during a raiding trip. They fell in love, and Aeson deserted the raiders to settle down in Seaport and marry Alissa. She bore him a son, whom they named Devon, and they were happy.
However, that happiness was soon shattered when Aeson’s band of raiders returned to Seaport. They had been furious about the desertion, and wanted revenge. So they slaughtered Aeson and Alissa, and took the four month old Devon to Rowan to be raised as a Guld -- which Aeson had begged them not to do, during his final moments. Devon grew up in Rowan without any knowledge of his parents, or their deaths. It was as if he had lived as a Guld his whole life.
Devon made his first kill when he was eight years old, successfully avoiding the nine year deadline. He had shattered his opponent’s sword before finishing him off, earning the name Steelbreaker. When he grew older, he became the leader of a small raiding band, wielding a fearsome hand-and-a-half sword and commanding his comrades. He was content, if not satisfied, with his situation, until he learned the truth.
An old friend of Devon’s father sat him down one day to talk. Devon learned of his parents’ death, his kidnapping, everything, and he was furious. He vowed right then and there that he would personally kill the raiders that had murdered his parents. But as he continued to think, he figured, why stop there? The brutality of the Gulds was apparent before, but now the stakes were high, and it was personal. They had killed a married couple just because one of them had had enough, they had kidnapped an innocent child, and they had threatened him with death if he did not end someone’s life before the age of nine. How many more parents and children would be slaughtered if something wasn’t done?
Devon decided to travel back to his birthplace; Seaport. He would swear his sword to a noble house (with an army) that shared his views on the Gulds, and he would bestow justice upon the barbarous society. But before he could do that, he had to gain enough power and influence so that he could actually make a difference. He knew the raiders might follow him, just as they followed his father, but he wasn’t afraid. He could take them. Devon Steelbreaker could take anyone.
You're walking down a dark forest road, when suddenly, a bandit jumps out of the bushes
"What do we 'ave 'ere, a lonely traveler."
He pulls out a dagger from his rugged cloak.
"How about you 'and ovah that coin purse, or this will be in your throat."
Devon draws his sword, looming over the bandit. “Do you really think you’re in a position to threaten me?” he says, glowering.
The bandit seems to weigh his options, then deflates, lowering his dagger and stepping aside to let Devon pass. But as soon as he walks by, sheathing his sword, the bandit leaps forward to stab him in the back.
Devon, having heard the clumsy attack, steps to the side and trips the bandit. As he lies on the forest floor, Devon straddles and punches him, knocking the man out cold. “Let’s hope the city guard finds you here. I have places to be,” he says, and spits on the unconscious bandit before getting up and continuing on his path.
You are taking a stroll along a river, when you come across a wounded man lying on its banks.
"HELP ME!" He screeches as he notices you.
From afar you can see that he has multiple arrows protruding from his belly.
"PLEASE!" He calls again, desperately.
Devon rushes to the man’s side, hastily pulling out the bandages he keeps in his pack. “What happened?” he asks as he assesses the man’s injuries. It didn’t look like the arrows had gone too far in, and they weren’t broadheads -- that was good.
“B-bandits,” he panted. “They… They stole everything!”
“Now is not the time to worry about your stolen things,” Devon said as he began to pull out the arrows carefully. The man gasped and his eyes widened at the sudden pain. After the last arrow was out, Devon bandaged up the man’s abdomen. “Is your home near?” the warrior asked as he finished.
“Yes.. Just past those trees..” he gestured vaguely to some trees behind him. Devon then picked him up and carried him back to his home, leaving a coin as a bit of compensation for what the bandits took.

I made a few assumptions on the Guld culture, mainly that they'd be pretty vengeful in general, so please let me know if I messed up or disregarded any important lore. Thanks for reading my application!
