All of the servers I liked began to die when 1.8 came out and Mojang murdered Bukkit. The reasons are obvious to me, since bukkit-based plugins were what made it possible for their admins to make the servers fun and (more importantly) safe places to play. I don't want to discuss why Mojang did such a thing nor what your(or my) opinion of such move might be, please keep such replies for a different thread.
But I am looking for a decent 1.8 no-PVP survival server to play in. I'll list below what I am looking for. If you know of a server that satisfies those needs, please reply saying how it satisfies them and give the server address.
1) Admins must detect and reverse grief, and ban the griefers. In grief I include damage to my constructions, land invasions, stealing from chests or other resources, using indirect means to cause damage (like lava/water), killing a player's farm mobs, stealing somebody else's crops, PVP, etc. Please describe what plugin or method they use to achieve that.
2) Server must disable damage to blocks caused by creepers, endermen and other mobs. Please describe how it is done in the server.
3) Admins must be able to detect hacks like x-ray and flying. Please describe how it is done in the server.
4) Chest protection.
5) Ability to set a home, and go back to it via a command like /home.
Things I prefer but might live without:
A) An economy, whether it is a market or chestshops.
Skill development and drops similar to MCMMO.
C) Lifts.
D) Land purchasing using the economy's earned money.
E) Ability to set a limited number of multiple homes or warps. The best system for this that I ever saw was on a server where you got extra "/sethome" locations based on number of hours played on the server.
F) I don't mind if donators get perks, so long as those perks affect only them and not my gameplay. So, if by paying they get things like the ability to fly when on their land... I couldn't care less.
G) If the server is busy, I'd very much prefer it has a chat system with channels and the ability to /hide channels I don't care for. Not essential since I can always use a mod to silence the channels, but I prefer to avoid relying on such mods.
