Reason you want to join: I have a YouTube channel (TheQuitulias) and I want to start uploading white listed servers. I also play a lot and am looking for people to play with.
What you are expecting to build Once you join: Anything. Probably some redstone stuff and maybe an iron farm. Probably a monster spawned, but also a personal base.
Skype: I don't have Skype. I have teamspeak though. I can download Skype if necessary.
Reason you want to join: I've been looking for a server that uses mods for their intended purpose for a while now. A lot of servers I've been on before use plugins that really mess with the game such as:
Grief protection plugins are extremely useful, but it would be far easier if we could just trust each other.
Banned/restricted items are annoying, considering no one gets to use them if a single person abuses them. Kind of like airports after 9/11, which leads back into the first problem; it would be far easier if we could all just trust each other.
Voting systems quite often involve voters getting a reward of some kind. This leads to them getting materials faster and easier than most other players. And I, for one, prefer to play legit.
Donating is even worse; I see everyone going around wearing quantum armor all the time. It's fun to be on top, but it ruins the journey of getting there. Plus, donators sometimes get access to banned items, so it's basically monetizing other mods' free content.
I've seen a lot of servers using plugins for things like this. The fact that this server uses only forge, and that it has a whitelist will most likely solve at least some of these problems. Plus, MCPC+ has a habit of making some mods unstable. I think I've gone on complaining about other servers for long enough now, so let's skip to the next question.

You never asked this, but I think another good application question would be "Why should consider you?". My answer would be that I have a lot of experience with most of the mods in the monster pack. I've helped others many times with them and have even given tutorials on other servers before. I also have experience troubleshooting problems, and have un-corrupted several worlds before.

Reason i want to join- most other servers i attempt to join it is either too laggy because of so many people on or people end up griefing what you do, and by the looks of the rules and given info about the server, it looks like a server i would like to join.
What i am expecting to build- i would like to build a base out in the sea and make a square shaped base that i will drain out the water and build a base in it and make it look aesthetically pleasing.

The servers I have been on lately has had their players either go dead or dorment. I'm looking for a server that has active players on it and where I can enjoy myself.

Like I said before, plugins are extremely useful. The only reason I'm against them is because they can sometimes cause problems with mods that are usually relatively stable. As I said in my application, I'm good at bug fixing, and have a lot of experience in singleplayer. MCPC changes base classes and mods don't always behave as expected. In my experience, everything I know about reducing lag and fixing crashes is different with MCPC. It's very similar, but differs in the source code. Usually it doesn't matter, but when it does, it becomes much harder to fix.
As for /tpa, we can always set up a portal system with mystcraft that leads to everyone's base.

I have tons of experiance with the mods and I have made my own mod. I might make youtube videos if my system allows can handle it. Would love to join.
