I have bin with this host for over a month now. In the beginning I had no problems at all, But at one point I was getting a big problem which was fixed almost instantly. They are by far one of the bests hosts I have bin with.
-----=={Reasons to choose Goliath Hosting}==----
1. Fast support: Though I only had problems that one day they were fixed almost instantly. I wish there wasn't any problems at all, but plenty of hosts have there problems even including huge hosts like MC pro hosting.
2. Fast server ping: Most people over look this one part, but with the faster the ping the faster your server will be because the ping is how well you connect to the server so if you are getting a bad ping you probably wont have the best time on the server because you are lagging.
3.Frequent updates: They are one of the few hosts that actually care about keeping customers updated they will tell you whats going on. Recently they had a server transfer which took no time at all, but it was nice to be told before it was done. With some other host I have bin with during a server transfer they don't really tell you till its all over and its transferred.
4. Caring about there customers: Most hosts say they care, but the truth is they just want to see you open your wallet.
In the end if you just want cheap hosting, but with the support of a really big company I would choose them because although they are new and they do have great services they make sure all there stuff is running at top notch quality. I have gotten a good friend of mine to use there services they haven't complained once about it
Jake,
Thanks for the honest and detailed review Jake! Glad you liked our services.
Do you offer discounts for quarterly payments. I am located in Kansas City and believe I may benefit from the distance.
Please let me know.
We sure do! We're migrating our website right now so the order forum is down but if you'd like to add us on Skype @ connor2hd we could work out an awesome deal.
The best (and only) service I've gotten.
The prices are simply splendid. The only time I disliked them was the day I got their services, but that was only because it was Christmas and most of the staff was offline. Yet I still got decent help that day.
Apart for that, due to their Skype support, (I hate all email tech support in general, I really do. Sorta because I never check my email.) which is reasonably fast, I've never regretted my decision.
Some facts I figured out:
Server Support takes about a minute or two, with the exception being major holidays.
MC Pro Hosting's gold plan, which is the closest to two GBs, is about 2.5 times more expensive then what I currently pay for at Goliath, 10$ a month. Or, with the 1YEAR code, it's about 2.8 times more expensive. Note that MC Pro Hosting says "Premium Minecraft Server Hosting at jaw dropping prices." Lel.
Without proper tech support, I'd be lost in Multicraft. Now I'm reasonably good with it due to their help.
There's some hilarious **** going on in the Skype chat-- like the responses of other customers when one asked for a huge discount in the chat. Plus, when they were discussing logos, there were some meme-worthy images. (I will never look at Rhinos the same way again.)
I've a tiny server, Prussiatec, and I haven't regretted buying a server off Goliath Hosting since.
It's glorious, and I've reccomended it to my mate trying to get a server up.
Thanks for telling me about this! I was searching and searching and GGServers took my attention and then it had really bad reviews. When i saw this... I was so happy! So i watched some reviews and there was only good ones, so i bought the COAL plan! Everything is working perfectly by now (even tho i bought the server 20 min ago) and i was new to MultiCraft so i sended a support ticket about how to use it and 3 minutes later, a answer pops up! I really recommend GoliathHosting! Hope this brings more attention to this awesome hosting company!
Thanks for the great review and the signature advertising!
Also guys we just got 10 more Intel Xeon 5150's in stock and ready to order at $39.99/Month. At this price they won't last!
So how many slots can we use? How many is recommended 1GB? Will 24 Work?
Hey there sorry for the late reply, I manage this topic and half our staff was just at PAX East. We do not limit slots, but for 1GB 24 will work as long as it is a bukkit or vanilla server. It also depends on what plugins you are running, if you run a lot i would suggest 2GB of RAM.
Hi, Has anyone stress tested one of these servers yet with FTB monster or Ultimate (preferably the 8gb server) I'm looking for a decent server and this one caught my attention (or even if the host could do it for me) Or if not with ftb at the very least a technic pack or heavy ram/cpu usage mod pack.

We have many clients who use Monster and Ultimate packs. I always recommend 3GB or more of RAM for these servers, as long as that is met they will run perfectly smooth. 8GB of RAM is more than enough to run Ultimate or Monster.
IF you have any more questions I can answer them here or on sKype @ connor2hd
Alright so before I asked about ftb and that sort and stress testing. Regardless of the question I decided to buy into this server as I've used various other servers in the past and like most they failed hardcore when it came to ftb. for the past year I have been using a 64 gb dedicated server for ftb (16gb was dedicated to just ftb rest was spread to a mmo server in development ect) but even then I was having lag issues with FTB and decided to get a new host for modded minecraft.
Server specs that I am using: 2 Intel Xeon Quad Core L5520 CPU's at 2.26GHz 1TB WD Black SATA HArd Drive and 8gb ram
Server average useage of ram / cpu with a min of 10 players online just before restarts:
40% cpu
60% ram (drops to 40% once it restarts and stays there for the better part of the day)
Server is running FTB - Monster pack
Server setup itself, has the typical multicraft console which is nice, clean, and easy to use. Lag, from our active members we're ranging from 20ping from west coast USA / canada to 70 ping in eastern canada / USA. The downside is Europe our few members there are getting 400 ping how ever they aren't getting that much noticeable ghosting issues or other issues related to having such a high ping on the server.
Server stress testing
- Server withheld 400 tnt simultaneously going off. Ran at 100% use for both ram and cpu for aprox 30 seconds before it died down
- Server accepted random teleports to random destinations in fresh chunks with a 5 second lag spike (great for ftb as there's teleporters and chunk loaders that open and close chunks rapidly)
- Server didnt lag with nuclear explosions from FTB - 80% cpu usage (above excellence)
- Server startup took a fair amount of time around 10 minutes to fully boot and be ready how ever it paid off everything as soon as players went exploring in the world we had 0 lag issues and 0 rendering issues from server side errors
My recommendations:
Great for modded minecraft and probably even better for Vanilla. 10/10 server with the only downside being only NA servers select able.

11/10 service
Beats McProHosting if you ask me.

Indeed we do, we even have a couple more like 'server.goho.es' and 'server.ghmc.us'
