A little over a week ago I signed up for this service. I wanted to run a small hexxit server for myself and a friend or two. After placing my order and poking around the site I sent in a ticket stating I'd like hexxit active. Nine hours later I get a response stating I needed to upload the files and they'd configure the server for me.I'm not extremely server savvy but after uploading the files myself wouldn't I only need to select the appropriate jar to get hexxit running? Either way I'd have uploaded the files prior to contacting customer service had it been stated anywhere on their FAQ. Under hexxit they only say to contact customer service.I decided I'd rather not wait another nine hours to get the server up and running and I'd just go with a host that had everything preloaded. So I cancelled well within 48 hours, knowing their terms of service stated they had a three day refund policy. I have been waiting for the refund. After contacting customer support regarding it (the response was within five minutes) I was informed I would not be receiving the refund. Now it was just $4 with the promo code, so I didn't exactly take a huge blow money wise. Still think the experience should be recounted here.

It is not specified within your terms of service that it must be requested by the customer. I chose to cancel my service as my first attempt to contact support ended in a nine hour wait time, at which point I was told I would need to upload files to be activated on the server itself. Which I would have done prior to contacting support had it been specified on your site.
Just as I would have requested the refund had it been specified on your terms of service. The only aspect of your terms that are not ambiguously worded are "at our sole discretion".
Thank you for the very quick response to my request for a refund.

As said before, refunds must be requested within 3 days of initial purchase and, as said in our Terms of Service, they are issued at our sole discretion.

Money back guarantee & refund policy
We offer a 3 day money back guarantee.
Refunds are available to customers at our sole discretion.
Refunds are not available for dedicated servers.
Your terms of service do not specify that the refund must be requested by the customer. I interpreted it as it being automatic. As I cancelled the account within 48 hours and did not use the service itself at all, I would very much appreciate the payment refunded.

Hi Heather,
Unfortunately, a refund must be requested within three days of initial purchase. As you are requesting a refund nine days after initial purchase, you are ineligible for a refund.

I'd be more than glad to assist you with this issue. Please contact [email protected] and ask for Justin, I'll re-assess if you are eligible for a refund.
When I first signed up with DemonVPS I was impressed by their pricing and customer service, and I have to give them that, but at this point, I'm actually angry, and it takes alot to get me angry.
I've had DemonVPS for about 4 months now while working on a production server that isnt even live to the public, my server gets a DDOS attack by a 14 year old and a 10 dollar stresser, and DemonVPS nullroutes my server for 34 hours straight (Which means it blocks every ip address worldwide but my own), The DDOS didn't even last that long. Well I didn't even know why my server was down, and when I sent in a ticket, they told me to check my plugins, not even informing me of their intentional nullrouting. I responded to the ticket, and didn't get a reply for 4 hours. When I finally did get a reply they told me that it is policy to shut down servers for 24 hours if they get a DDOS, well the 24 hours turned into 34 hours. So if your server gets attacked for 5 minutes, its policy to shut it down for 24 hours or more?
When my server finally went back online, I began working on my website which is also hosted by DemonVPS, in the middle of submitting a wiki page I spent an hour making, I get a 404 error. I double check to find that my website has gone offline. Upon trying to submit a ticket about it, my client login panel was also offline, and just for the sake of curiosity, I checked DemonVPS.com and that was also down.
They mentioned they were releasing faster servers with better processors when I first signed up 4 months ago, never happened.
They mentioned that they were going to get proper DDOS mitigation, and that never happened either.
So to sum it up...
Great prices, great customer service.
But you get what you pay for.
Terrible performance processor wise
Anyone with 5 bucks can shut your server down for 24 hours at a time
Inconsistent web server stability
Edit: And 5 minutes after I posted this, my website is still not online, but I found that now my players are unable to join my server unless they were already on it. Cant submit a ticket, cause their website is down.

I'm sorry you feel that way - don't get me wrong, that part about the DDoS attacks sucks. They shouldn't have null routed you for 34 hours. But I've been with DemonVPS for 13 months now, and had over 6+ services with them, and I've never once had a problem such as the two you described. Okay, maybe there was a few minutes/hours of downtime like 8 months ago. But the point is, this is one of the only times they've ever experienced major downtime - and, as I'm typing this, my website hosted with them has gone back up.
As for your issues with DDoS'ing, I've had my server attacked a few times in the past, but I don't ever recall being null routed that long. The only real bad thing I can say about DemonVPS (and this only applies to their web hosting services) is that most, if not all, emails sent from my website land in gmail's spam box. I've even had DemonVPS's invoice emails sometimes land in my spam box, so I don't think the problem is on my end, unless it's just a coincidence.
Anyways, these guys still have great service. Sure, the downtime today kinda sucked, but as I said, I only recall this much downtime happening once, like 6-12 months ago.
I've always wanted to run my own minecraft server and I used to play on a server that used this company months and months ago. I decided to use them since they are cheap and seemed reliable. I guess I was wrong. I purchased the 2gb package and ever since I have had connection lag issues, control panel issues, server crashing out of nowhere issues, and the server just shutting down by itself out of nowhere. I don't know why the problems are happening and seem to be reoccuring.
I had a few problems at the start(that was just me being patienceless) but my server runs fine and i think i found my ideal host. i dont have any lagg at all on my server everything is easy to configure with multicraft. all i can say this host is awesome and if people need a host i recommend this one
Have to give giant props to this host -- best service I have seen in a long time + dedi ip and $4/gb with web hosting as well! This is by far the best host I've had to date. Already have recommended it to a couple of friends.
I absolutely love this host. No lag on my tiny 512MB server at all. Being a tiny server and all, I know to periodically restart it to ensure ram isn't wasted. Multicraft does this scheduled task really well. I have mine set to the middle of the night to restart, so no one gets affected by this
I even gave my friend my affiliate link, and he loves his server too.

There is NO DDOS protection. If you do get DDOS attacked, DemonVPS has a policy to shut down your server for 24 hours or more! Regardless of the length of the attack. I would not recommend these guys, my server and website are down again, and that's atleast the 3rd time this week. I'm getting tired of it.

We only nullroute if attacks are in excess of 4gbit, which account for about 5% of attacks we receive.

I recommend purchasing two Minecraft-specific packages as VPSs run on HDDs.
