I was wondering if one rented a dedicated server, would they be able to host a small PHPbb board and associated MySQL database on it as well in addition to Minecraft & Multicraft? Sorry if the question is noobish, but I just figured since people have said that it's essentially a blank machine with fast internet access initially...
All packages come with the MySQL, so you shouldn't have any issues with your logblock plugin. The dedicated IP gives you the ability to connect without the port as well as giving you port availability for plugins such as DynMap. Since it's a dedicated IP, it will never change.
Very Very Very good host, I couldnt be more pleased with their hosting, I got the $10 month package with 2 gigs, I couldnt be more pleased, I had 20 people with over 20 plugins and there was zero lag. they have helped me with all my tickets too. I just couldnt be happier, I would recommend this host to everyone
So by dedicated RAM, does that mean that for each plan rented an amount is subtracted from a node's quota? Or is it like other hosts in that 'dedicated' just means priority access to the resources in question?
******* BUYER BEWARE********
After waiting more than a WEEK for a reposnse for a support ticket, i requested cancellation of the server and a pro rated refund, whihc i notce that they say they do not give refunds in their TOS. This host is OK if you dont need supprt, server dont get the BEST ping by more of an avergae not good or bad, ever after wanting to UPGRADE not a response was made after a week or more.
I strongly recommend you look away from them for hosting of your server, unless you are Really low on funds, and dont need any support.

Your RAM is dedicated to you and only you.

We are still continuing to have tremendous growth and we're trying our very best to keep up with the demand. Just to give you an idea how much RAM we use, over 1TB in total RAM has been sold since our launch in June and is filled to capacity at this moment. We couldn't be where we are without you guys!
We are waiting for our new node (Node21) to be put online this evening so any orders placed in the past couple of hours may not get the instant-setup since we're currently at capacity. As always, we appreciate your patience and your billing cycle does not begin until you receive your server. If you do not want to wait, feel free to PM us with your transaction ID and we'll issue you a refund.
Remember, PM us on the forums if you have any billing/support related questions that have not been answered through our support system on our billing panel, do not post them in this thread since they will be removed by moderators (not us).
You'd have to get the dedi and a domain name to accomplish something like that, methinks. You can always go to sites like http://forumotion.com and get one free. There are also some free webhosts out there that you can UL forum software like PHPbb or vBulletin to, but they tend to have databases on the slow side so it isn't recommended.
Yo, I bought a server from you guys about 2 months ago, and it's been great! lag free, 24/7, impossible to crash...
However, I do have one complaint. Over time, I've filled out 2 help tickets on the website and sent 2 emails to you guys asking for an SRV record. I may be wrong, but I was under the impression I got one of those if I want it. I'm a bit frustrated...
I'm still nowhere close to switching services, and to anyone reading this I still STRONGLY reccomend minecrafted. the prices are 1/2 what you get from anywhere else, multicraft is easy to use, etc. But I would like my SRV record.
Thanks for that review! We pay attention to all feedback, negative or positive. We're constantly trying to improve our services to meet and exceed your expectations. Regarding our support requests, a lot of the requests that come in that typically don't get answered in a reasonable time frame (or at all) are usually already answered on our website or in this forum thread. Since we are a self-managed hosting provider, we encourage you guys to spend a little time visiting our website and/or this forum thread for the answers to your question since we answer the same questions multiple times. In terms of responding to a "server down" issue, those are never ignored and you don't have to stress out that your server will be down for days/weeks at a time.

New node in final stages of being setup. Thanks for your patience guys!
We also ordered (3) additional nodes (which should be setup tonight/tomorrow) since we underestimated how much you guys love automation and we're trying our very best to keep up with the demand!
Hi, we have had a server with you guys for a few months now (and love it), but i just noticed today you removed the area on your website where you could access the nodes and the Multicraft Control Panel? What happened, because now i can't access the node my server is on and backup my server or do anything to my server. Thanks and get back to me as soon as you can.
Also i highly recommend these people for server hosting for anyone who is on the fence, even though they don't offer a domain w/o having to pay 60$
We are re-structuring our website and since we have so many nodes now we have removed that drop down from the website. You should still have the link to the node your server is on from the sales e-mail you received when your server was first setup. For all new orders, the multicraft link should already be listed in your billing panel and we are going to be updating older customers billing panels to show their specific node links.
Also, thanks for the the awesome feedback Glad you are enjoying your server!
Thanks for your kind words! Also, I know we've been said it before numerous times but we still have the web-hosting / mumble servers on the to-do list and we will definitely let you guys know when it's close to being ready. Since we're a small team, we would rather keep our focus on Minecraft hosting before we get involved with VoIP / Webhosting.

In other news, it looks like the new recommended build for 1.4.5 Bukkit is out (finally). We have applied the update to all of our nodes. Please switch your jar in your control panel, click Save, and then restart your server.

Glad to hear. I'd love to be able to set up a simple site.

In other news, all nodes have been updated to the latest 1.4.6 Build for Minecraft (Vanilla). We are awaiting for the first Beta build for Bukkit before we can update to 1.4.6 (Bukkit).
I've purchased the 256MB free to play server for a one time setup fee of $1. I'd like to tell you guys a little thing about this hosting. I've tried a lot of different hosting in my life, a lot of bad ones. But when I came to this one, that all turned around, this it the single best host ever. You really get a lot more than you're paying for to say the least. There is absolutely no lag, even though how much TNT you throw at it or whatever you live in Japan or China. It doesn't matter, that's how awesome these guys are. They're running all the servers on dedicated machines that they've purchased and are running themselves, so you know you won't get any lag. As with the great service also comes excellent top notch up to par support! I made a ticket and within one minute it got answered, with really helpful information. I'd highly recommend this host, 10/10, I'd say it beats all the extremely pricey hosts as well! This is a true example that price doesn't have to equal quality!
Yes is a amazing perfomance the only problem is the Support. I have a 2GB server and before I buy I got all support.... But after I buy I don't get any any answer of support and nothing.. I give note 0 for this Enterprise of Support...
First of all i would like to say so far so good! bought my server a few hours ago and was set up instantly! No lag and everything is working fine.
Would just like to know if you know when you will be updating the servers to 1.4.6?
I had my server set to 1.4.6 but my plugins would not work on it so downgraded back to 1.4.5 for now.
We currently do not offer custom jar's on our servers but we plan on deploying special nodes for those very soon (hopefully by this weekend).
You can use the dedicated servers for whatever you want as long as it's legal.
Please PM us with any billing/support related issues as this forum isn't meant for support requests.

I know the response is still probably TBD, but I'd love an update on the webhosting possibilities.
Thanks!
