Been reading the thread, and the reviews look good. However, I have some questions that I have not seen answered yet:
General:
Mumble server yet? I know your company was looking into it, but I didn't see anything more on it, nor do I see anything on the web site regarding it.
Is support 24/7? I didn't notice anything about it in the thread.
IPv6?
What if someone has a hosted account and decides later to change to a dedicated? How hard is that to do?
Hosted plans:
The SQL server. I'm assuming it's shared amongst the VM's (?) on a given host, which each host having it's own. Is this correct?
Per the web site, using a subdomain is an option. With 1.3.1, SRV records are supported. I'm assuming that adding this would require a support ticket, or is it automatically setup when a server is provisioned?
The dedicated server lists what appears to be a bandwidth limit of 10TB. Is there a cap on the hosted plans?
If necessary, how hard is it to upgrade the RAM on an account if the original amount turns out to be insufficient? (I'm sure current customers can answer this one as well)
Dedicated Server:
I saw that you offer KVM access if one is locked out of SSH, this is good. However, how is an OS reinstall handled (if things really go sideways)? Also, is the only option CentOS?
Normally I would have just sent an email to sales to ask, but asking here may help others as well.

I did this, switched from hosted to dedicated. It just requires you downloading all your files, then uploading them to your dedicated server. I assume you have experience in dedicated servers, especially centos?

SRV records? Im curious, ive never heard of a SRV record, what exactly does it do?

Multicraft allows admins to change ram allocation easily. Provided theres no issues with their billing side, i cant imagine this would be hard.
I dont work for minecrafted, and this is just what i know. I could be wrong, and you should take my advice with a pinch of salt
Well, it is the replacement for IP4, and the more it's used, the sooner ISP's and other places will get with the program and start deploying it... I hope.

I currently host a small private on on my ESXi 5 machine (E3 1230) under Debian, so yes, I do have some experience running a dedicated server machine.
This is also why I was asking about if anything else besides CentOS was available. I vastly perfer Debian do not like Cent or any RedHat derivitive.
SRV records? Im curious, ive never heard of a SRV record, what exactly does it do?
SRV records are used by a lot of things. At work, one of the VOIP providers we use has them in place for a form of round-robin between multiple SIP gateways.
In minecraft 1.3.1 terms, if setup correctly, a given server with a unique name in the DNS doesn't need to have a port specified by the clients any longer if it's running on a non-default port, which is what I have setup on my domain and servers here at home. I set up a few servers via port forwarding, and with the SRV record support, no one has to put the port in the address, just the server DNS name. So if I change the port, for whatever reason, I just update the info in my DNS tables and players don't have to futz with the port number on their end.
I'm more or less torn between the hosted account (which may be a bit small on the RAM side for some of the things I'm thinking of doing), or the dedicated server (which is overkill for the things I'm thinking of doing, but would be great for future proofing). There is also the budget to consider.

Are you telling me, that i can run a server on say port 25560, link my subdomain "fish.subdomain.com" to the ip, so people can connect to fish.subdomain.com:25560.
But with SRV, its possible to connect without the port? How do you do this? My domain registar doesnt have any options for SRV.
Reckon you could help me out?

You can either make a normal domain [with numbers] or one with letters, if you want a 25565 port you need to have a dedicated IP, and if you want one with letters, you also need a dedicated IP, although, if you do purchase a dedicated IP, it'd have to be example.minecrafted.net, or in your case fish.minecrafted.net, I myself purchased a Dedicated IP along with my server, and I just used numbers, hope this helped you out!

Yes, that's about it. Unfortunately, unless you have control over the DNS tables for your host (or whoever handles the DNS), there isn't anything that you or I can do, they have to add it to their DNS config.
But this is off topic for the thread, and I look forward to the reply from the OP on their service.

Incorrect. You have have any DNS name you want (assuming it's not taken) with a dynamic IP. However, the DNS server has to support dynamic updates and you have to have a client that can send it to the server in a manner that it understands. Most hosts don't offer it tho, as it can be kind of complex to setup.
And a 'normal' domain with numbers? Like 192.198.7.52? That's not a domain name, that's just an IP address. The chances of getting to use the default port on a shared server are slim to none, but it is possible and doesn't strictly need a dedicated IP.

That was an error on my part [obviously] I guess I wasn't paying attention, I meant IP, not domain name, sorry about that haha
Even though a few of our customers have responded, we'll formally respond to your request (sorry about the delay!)
Mumble server yet? I know your company was looking into it, but I didn't see anything more on it, nor do I see anything on the web site regarding it.
We are still working on the control panel, our nodes have been filling so quickly that we are focusing our resources on hardware right now. Hopefully, by the end of this month we'll have Mumble servers and webhosting available.
Is support 24/7? I didn't notice anything about it in the thread.
Support for hardware / network issues are 24/7. We still try to respond within 24 hours for other requests, but we do not provide any support for plugin issues. (We do try to help those we can though).
IPv6?
Not yet, can't give you an ETA on that.

Easy, just e-mail [email protected] or submit a support ticket whenever you're ready to upgrade or downgrade.
The SQL server. I'm assuming it's shared amongst the VM's (?) on a given host, which each host having it's own. Is this correct?
Yes, the Shared hosting accounts (not really VM's, but each customer is their own user on their specific host node) have their own individual MySQL accounts.
Per the web site, using a subdomain is an option. With 1.3.1, SRV records are supported. I'm assuming that adding this would require a support ticket, or is it automatically setup when a server is provisioned?
We currently do not have SRV setup, however we have looked at it recently and plan to offer it by request (support ticket).
The dedicated server lists what appears to be a bandwidth limit of 10TB. Is there a cap on the hosted plans?
There is no cap on our shared(minecraft) hosting plans. As long as it's legit traffic, you will be fine.
If necessary, how hard is it to upgrade the RAM on an account if the original amount turns out to be insufficient? (I'm sure current customers can answer this one as well)
It's very simple, just submit a support request or e-mail Sales if you want to upgrade your server. Once the invoice is paid, we'll upgrade your server and all you have to do is restart it.
I saw that you offer KVM access if one is locked out of SSH, this is good. However, how is an OS reinstall handled (if things really go sideways)? Also, is the only option CentOS?
Yes we offer IPMI access (by request) to your dedicated server incase you're locked out. You can either submit a support ticket for OS reloads or reload them yourself. By default we install CentOS on the dedicated servers but you can choose between Debian / Ubuntu / CentOS.
Let me know if that answers all of your questions, feel free to contact us directly if you have any more specifics.
I have noticed that you can only customize the .JAR on the dedicated servers. So does that mean the others servers won't have craftbukket? No plugins or nothing. Because don't like that at all, sorry. Because i am about and willing to buy diamond, it sounds like a great deal. I just want to be able to use craftbukket or some kind of other one with plugins. Also does all the servers come with a free MySql data base? That is all sorry if I am wrong in some of these questions, but Thanks for the help if you get to this.

Yes you can have craftbukkit on any of their plans. On the dedictaed server it just means you can have ANY including Tekkit. On their regular minecraft plans you can have either vanilla or CraftBukkit.

As the guy above me stated, you can have Craftbukkit on all the server plans. What you can not do, is upload your desired jar files, such as Tekkit. To do this you would have to buy a Dedicated server from them, but as long as you're only going to use plugins for Craftbukkit you will manage with the normal server plans.
Guys thanks for all the help but still do they come with a free MySql database?
Features
Full Control of Your Server (Start / Stop / Restart)
FTP Access (Built-in FTP Manager or use your own FTP Client, ex Filezilla) MySQL Access
User Changeable .JAR (Switch from Regular Minecraft / Craftbukkit / Craftbukkit Beta)
Optional Dedicated IP (For the default port / DynMap / etc)

Thats right, you can create as many databases as you need for free.
We now support SRV records on all of our servers for free. If you want to use SRV so you no longer have to type in your port number (if you aren't using a dedicated IP) please send an e-mail to [email protected] with your ServerIP and Port number and your requested name and we'll set that up for you!
Example: My Server IP is: Node0.Minecrafted.net Port 21232 and I would like the custom name NoMorePorts.Minecrafted.net
You would now just use the IP: NoMorePorts.Minecrafted.net instead of Node0.Minecrafted.net:21232
General:
I dont think they do. If they dont, shoot me a PM and ill host you one for free (proper hosted, 24/7 not home hosted)
Why do you want IPv6? Just curious

No, no cap AFAIK. I doubt they will appreciate it if you start transferring terabytes but really, just be sensible

As for player cap, they don't set a hard limit at this time, you can specify 100 players max on a 1 gig server if you really want.
Please note that I didn't say that the server could handle it on that amount of RAM, just that you can specify it.
