Honestly, the service is questionable as of now. The Ftp upload won't allow any files regardless of size to be uploaded on a 120 mb limit. 1 mb wont allow it to be uploaded. Support won't reply to the progress of the issue. I will give them a final review at the end of this month, that is if I can actually use ftp access.
Every server host has the same FTP, it comes with Multicraft so it's the only ftp in the multicraft control panel around.
I don't know some how they broke it. How are you going to argue if it won't even accept a 1mb file out of 120.
In addition to a file size restriction, the web FTP interface also has a upload time restriction (which is around 20-30 seconds). We will be considering modifying these limits, however to avoid it, I would highly recommend using an external FTP client such as FileZilla, WinSCP or CyberDuck. Even if these issues don't affect you, I would still recommend using the external client.
I had just purchased the Gold tier today with the Dedicated IP. I got the payment confirmation, but not the Multicraft login information, so I have no access to FTP. Also, I noticed that my server has a port extension, meaning that the IP is not dedicated. I submitted a ticket, trying to find a fix for the issue, but I am currently 8 hours into the day without an initial response to my ticket. It's very frustrating that I have paid for a server that I can't even configure. Does it always take this long for something to get resolved?

No, that's not what I meant. I mean the file upload is broken for me. I'm using WinZip Archive to upload zip files and even they won't work. Everything is to large, even 1 out of 120mb file.
Well its been a few weeks since I switched to Shockbyte, and at first it was a little rocky. Had some issues that got resolved. I didn't have to upload my own jar since their Multicraft came equipped with the latest KCauldron, not as many options as some other servers but to be fair, if you know what your doing, the only options that matter are KCauldron, Forge, and Bukkit.
I uploaded all my servers just fine, was missing NPC's on one of them but that has nothing to do with Shockbyte. The servers are reasonably lagless.
The Multicraft support for server staff is lacking, but still works well enough.
The time it takes for ticket response is usually no greater than 24 hours, which to be fair even Beastnode has taken some time to respond.
Overall my rating would be.
Price 10/10
Ease of Use 6/10
Lagless 8/10
Options 7/10
Support 6/10
All in all, you still get more bang for your buck with Shockbyte than any other host. I upgraded to 3 times the server power for the same price as my old host. After a lot of research and looking, Shockbyte is the cheapest host I could find that still comes with all the required features to run a legitimate server.
Will it affect anything if i choose another location because there isnt an option for my location.
You'll still be able to connect to your server and play as normal. There shouldn't be any issues regardless of the location you pick, although it's generally best to pick the location closest to you. If you're not sure which location is best for you, you can simply select 'No Preference'.
You advertised on first page that ALL servers come with unlimited slots, which is a lie, as i can clearly see slot limitations on your website (20 slots on dirt plan) and ofcourse that dirty 5$ monthly fee for dedicated ip address, No thanks. False advertisment
The slot counts shown on the website are simply a recommendation. You can set your slot count to any number you wish. If you use the discount code DEDI3, the Dedicated IP will be reduced to $3/mo.
Happy Halloween! Use the discount code SPOOKY for 50% off your first month or 3SPOOKY5ME to permanently reduce the Dedicated IP cost to $3, down from $5.

Well yep. My longest time is 20 hours waiting
And now their multicraft is down.
has been for some time.
aaaaand its back!
Apparently Shockbyte doesn't accept credit cards.
Making me find the password to a Paypal account I haven't used in years would be much harder than finding another server host.
You should consider revising your payment options as the lack of choice is costing you business.

CEB_the_Crusader,
You do know that Paypal allows you to use credit cards without making an account, right?

Just a feedback,
We've been using shockbyte and its fine at first and tickets are answered fast
but as time goes on
Database keeps offlining (I sent a ticket and they said they are upgrading the database)
after that, database keeps in offlining 2-3x a month
Which makes our server crash all the time for hours and hours
Sorry, but we are actually moving already since this kept on happening and we cannot risk our server using ur database that isn't stable.
I hated shockbyte because of this.
Hey man its not a false advertise thats just a recommend number I used them so I know. They allow you to change the slot number to anything you want

Are you contemplating direct credit card sales? I won't go near Paypal with a 10 foot (or metre if you prefer) stick.
We are looking into this for the near future, however don't currently have any plans.
