But you Still resell dedicated servers as VPS minecraft servers
Sorry, but I don't understand what implications you're trying to make.
We do not sell VPSes, and we no longer use Kimsufi servers as a company.
We only resell dedicated servers to customers from Kimsufi (OVH).
Dedicated servers differ from Minecraft servers; dedicated servers are fully dedicated hardware and have no one else sharing the system. Minecraft servers are hosted on shared nodes or VPS nodes (depending on the provider), and there are numerous people allocated to a single Minecraft node.
If I had misread your post, I apologize, however we do not hide the fact that we resell dedicated servers from Kimsufi as dedicated servers for customers. Anyone who has asked has gotten the same answer, "we do resell Kimsufi as the top three cheapest dedicated servers." We have other dedicated servers available, which we have reseller pricing from miscellaneous companies in Chicago, Phoenix, etc.
All of our Minecraft nodes are now running on dual HDDs in RAID 1.
Also, if you're the one spamming our live chat system, we've banned you.
Thanks for the amusement, but we've got better things to do than deal with a troll.
you pay monthly for a dedicated server(that you don't own) and sell it of as minecraft servers that is reselling.
We purchase OVH class servers (http://ovh.ie/) for our Minecraft nodes, as well as E3-1230s from PhoenixNAP (http://phoenixnap.com/). It's fairly rare (or 50/50 chance maximum) to find a host who colocates their own hardware.
Edit: I will be specific in the next few lines with what we purchase from the OVH-class servers. EG BestOf 2011 (for SSD servers, the SSD class server)
24GB DDR3 1066 REG ECC RAM
2 x 2TB SATA II 3Gb/s in RAID 1
1Gbps uplink, lossless.
Location: Roubaix, France
We add in the professional use option so we don't have to pay per IP address (however it'd probably be cheaper based on how many people are hosted on a node).
Our monthly price for each France node is 124.99 Euro. We pay approximately $165 USD (+3% bank fee)
It is not true that it is rare to find hosts who own their hardware. Almost all the people in approved hosts own their hardware and it's colo'd. Also a lot of the hosts here own their hardware (Exodus Hosting, NeuronHosting, just to name a few)
That's news to me, but there are several more hosts to that list that aren't colocated. We will be, in the future, colocating in Phoenix when it's possible for us to. As a relatively new company, we don't have the kind of income that'd allow us to colocate right away.
We already have the plans to colocate and what kind of hardware we'll use, however that'll only be for Dallas, Texas or Phoenix, Arizona. I can't go too much into detail about this yet, as not even I know what's going on completely with that.
Yeah, I agree, I bought the "dirt"-cheap Dirt package and its was literally playable right away! I played with 6 other people and still had almost no lag. Compared to about four other hosts I've tried, this one is has by far the least lag, lowest price, and the easiest setup.
10/10; keep it up!
EDIT: Customer service is fast! Support ticket reply within half an hour!

Cubedhost, your hosting is amazing me and my friends run a stone server of you guys and it runs smooth and with very little lag. Thank you so much!
Thank you for your kind words! If you'd like for us to take a look into why there might be any lag at all, please do feel free to contact us via support ticket.
Hallo, I bought a server and it worked perfectly. Right now we are setting it up. But are there a way u can see the seed? since they removed it on F3 in SMP.
Thanks
There's not really an easy way to do it, but the way I personally use is as follows:
Download your world's level.dat file.
Upload it to seedscope.net.
seedscope.net should show you the seed of your level.
sorry I'm a bit of a noob, but in my muiltcraft the server says pending and i can't access files or stop and restart the server, is there a way to change that,
thanks
You will need to submit a support ticket regarding this matter, if you haven't already.
From the sounds of it, you're either not logged in, or your browser is not properly displaying the javascript necessary for the Multicraft control panel.
Okay I have a couple of questions (This is all looking at the Obsidian plan btw):
Can we choose the dedicated IP?
Will the dedicated IP be in this format: __________.cubedhost.com:port
Do we get a MySQL database information with the server or is it on request?
This confused me a bit, it says we get webhosting, but is that free with the package?
If it is free with the server, which pan do we get? (Basic, Smart Community etc.)
What are the internet speeds at both your EU and US Nodes?
I plan to have my server being played on by me (in the EU) and by people in the US (Youtubers). It needs to be fast, responsive and as close to lag free as possible as it will be a server focusing on minigames such as Survival Games, Spleef and Capture the record and I cant have people lagging their way out of a loss. If you could reply too these I would greatly appreciate it.
Unfortunately, you cannot choose what IP address you get - they're randomly selected out of a pool of IP addresses we receive from our datacenter.
No - you're referring to a subdomain. A dedicated IP means that your server is running on the default Minecraft port of 25565, and therefore you don't need to enter the port number. For example, a non-dedicated IP might be 127.0.0.2:25569, while a dedicated IP might be 127.0.0.2:25565, or just 127.0.0.2.
You can create the MySQL database through Multicraft once you've received your server.
Yes, web hosting is free upon request with certain plans, however you do need to purchase a domain name before we can activate the web hosting on your account. You can purchase a domain name from us for $10.99 yearly, or you can use a domain name from another registrar and set it to our nameservers (ns1.cubedhost.org + ns2.cubedhost.org).
The plan is a "GS-included" plan, which you can find the details of by clicking here.
Both our EU and USA nodes run on a dedicated 1Gbit (or 1000Mbps) line.
If you have any more questions, please do not hesitate to submit a support ticket.
So correct me if I am wrong but I would need to buy
A server plan (Obsidian)
A domain (From any company?)
Also, Im experienced in making Minecraft servers, not setting up websites, would any of the staff be able to help me? For example setup the sub-domain be an IP adress, and also setting up Webstats included with the Survival Games plugin? I was with a company before who offered that but then didn't know how to do it themselves!
Hi there,
You are correct about the two requirements. We also sell domains on our website for $10.99/yr if you'd rather keep your services located in one place. It's only necessary to order a domain if you want something like "play.minecra.ft" and a website associated with it, which it sounds like you do.
We do not have experience with the webstats, and we do not offer installation services / setup services, but I could help you if there's any issues you're encountering on our web hosting with setting up the webstats.
It looks fairly simple to setup. Provided you upload the files to the web server, we can configure the database to point to your MySQL for your server. Please note that if you're getting a server located in France, it will have a bit of a delay (~100ms per SQL query) from our Arizona web server. If you would like me to, I'd request that you open a ticket entitled "ATTN: Bill - Webstats" or something of that sort.
Okay then, final thing. Do you know as a fact that ALL of the Survival Games plugin features work? With my current host everything works except chest resocking, it gives no errors or anything it just doesn't work. It works on my local server but not on my host. Could you test this or if you know of any clients currently running Survival Games could you ask them if all features work?
Unfortunately, I do not have an answer for that. Usually issues like that are fault of the plugin or the plugin configuration. I've asked our support manager, Cory, about this and he said he has a personal server with this plugin installed, but hasn't been able to get the chest restock working properly. I will see if he will let me take a look at it so we could confirm.
I'm getting an error and the server keeps shutting down.
this is the error

Hi Prog,
We cannot debug anything over the forums, as we can't access your account to see what node you're on, and what server ID your server is. The error in the output is specifically an "out of memory" error, as suggested by the exception name. This could be due to a number of reasons, which the most common one we see is that you, or a member of your server, sets off a large amount of TNT, which if it's big enough, "fills" up your RAM and causes an out of memory exception. Please either open a support ticket or come into our live chat so we can investigate why this is happening in your case.
We do not offer McMyAdmin, our services are powered by the popular Multicraft control panel. You can find a demo of the Multicraft control panel here: http://demo.multicraft.org/
I have a localy hosted server ran by mcmyadmin are there alot of differences between your system and the McMyadmin one?and also do you offer plugin permission help?

McMyAdmin and Multicraft are fairly different, but both easy to use. You can find a demo of the Multicraft panel here: http://demo.multicraft.org/ (click on "Server Owner")
There are no differences in how they operate, only how the panels can control the server.
Our plugin support is limited due to the amount of plugins out there that are either poorly coded or out-of-date.
If you're working with a bunch of YouTubers, you may want to open a ticket regarding the matter and have us check your YouTube for eligibility of a sponsorship, as you have mentioned people like Generikb have done and received their service for free. Please send a message to CubedHost on YouTube with the related account you would like us to verify with a ticket number from our billing system. This is not a guarantee of ANY sponsorship, as it's a case-by-case basis.
1. The Stone server should easily handle 12 players without lag, so yes, that should be fine.
2. Answered prior to #1 - open a ticket regarding the matter and we'll see what we can do.
3. Yes, you may grant multiple people access using different accounts. Simply have your friends sign up and post a support ticket asking us to setup their permissions (please provide their usernames to speed up the process).
4. Yes, it automatically saves every five minutes. I would suggest disabling the autosave message though. To do this, you can simply uncheck "Announce Auto-Save" under Advanced in the Multicraft panel, save, and restart your server.
I am planing on using you as a server host for my minecraft server. But is There a way to keep your same World and plugins? I don't want to have to restart my whole world. My friend who also uses your services told me That you could. But could you tell me how? Do I send you a file? If so, When?
