Hi im just thinking about buying one of your servers and im curious:
Can i add bukkit plugins such as permissions and essentials, world edit etc... to the server?
Also the first price plan only allows up to 4 players. Is that because of it being slowed down or just a set max amount? Is there any way it can add a few more people as i dont want to be paying too much.
One last question is it American Dollars?
Bukkit is available yes, but 1.8 currently does not support Bukkit.
Server slots are upgradeable, feel free to contact support for more details.
All prices are in USD.

He has just bought the server, literally 10 minutes ago. Anyhow i will wait till bukkit comes out for 1.8 then i will buy a server. How long do you think it will take?
Not long at all.

Friend just purchased a Callisto server with the added custom host name. Hasn't been activated yet, but I can't wait to try it out!]
Edit:
Got it working shortly after friend made a purchase. Was a bit buggy at first (could not break a block, nothing major) but was quickly sorted out by a short restart of the server. Lag free for both me and the friend; we haven't tested with our entire group of players but we doubt 2-3 more people will impact performance at all.
Considering we moved from me self-hosting with a fairly flaky internet connection, anything dedicated would be an improvement; this however goes above and beyond my expectations.
I'm nothing short of pleased: decent pricing (probably the lowest I've seen ever!), great customer service and fast, easy setup. My only qualm is that bukkit is not 1.8 yet, however that is NOT the fault of Vortex by any means.
I'd definitely recommend this to anyone looking into buying a server.

Just got a Callisto server. Great quality, good price and the least lag I've had on any host. I am having one issue though were occasionally it will boot me from the server and I am forced to restart it, losing between a few minutes or hours of work. The first time I started I lost all my work and was put back on the original spawn as if I had never done anything. Of course, this could be a 1.8 bug, I'm not sure. If anyone knows of a fix it'd be greatly appreciated!

I am interested in purchasing a server from you guys!
Do you think that 312MB RAM for 8 players is pushing it? I would get the 512MB but it is double the 312's price.
And the FTP thing, is that like having access to a folder on your server that I can access as if it was on mine at home?
Also at the time that Minecraft updates to 1.9, how will that work out? Will you be updating all the maps to 1.9 or do we do that ourselves?
Since I would have access to the server files, I am assuming I could just delete the world if I wish and it would be a whole new world?

From experience 312MB's will not old 8 players constant without a little lag.
FTP is just like having your own file on your computer, so if you have the file called 'Minecraft' and it has all your jar files and whatnot, that's what you get with us (you can view the control panel demo and click file manager for details).
With upgrading to 1.9 when it comes around, there will be a process like we did for 1.8, and all it does is overwrite the original minecraft_server.jar file with the new one (optional install), it is your responsibility to backup the world files though (easy as anything to take a backup, just click and drag with FTP). If you want to generate a new world you can just delete the world file and it will auto-regenerate it for you.
