My account name is Headwind, and I am the emperor of a quirky little Vanilla realm looking for new subjects.
My realm is moderately established with several oddities and still growing, and I also dabble.in building dungeons from time to time. You can choose to be good or bad, but there are consequences for all actions here, so playing nice is recommended, the world is dangerous enough as it is. Game difficulty is set to hard, cause anything else would just be too soft.
The world spawn is a coastal one. Yep! Right next to the ocean, prime real estate. Items at the spawn are available to help get you started, with a few villagers. I am in the process of city building, as the 1.13 realm update broke my old world, so it will be a while.

"Alignment System" (Chaotic vs. Lawful): 0-100
The alignment system on the realm is similar to that of the Ogre Battle series (i.e., David vs. Goliath rules). Killing neutral/friendly mobs will lower your alignment (chaotic) and killing hostile mobs will raise your alignment (lawful). Players and mobs with a high alignment (lawful), fight better during the day and worse during the night, while players and mobs with low alignment (chaotic) fight better during the night and are weaker during the day
All players begin as a part of the Empire, with a neutral alignment (50). Friendly fire is disabled for players belonging to the empire (alignment 35-100). If your alignment drops below 34, then you are assumed to have gone Rogue and the city's guards will attack you. Rogue players who come within 200 blocks of the spawn will have their spawn point set to the Rogue spawn, and cannot sleep within range of the Empire (currently 200 blocks from the world spawn)
In time, I'll be updating the world with items that grant abilities based on alignment as well, but that's for another day (Update* Lawful items are available in the market and Chaotic item can be purchased from thieves).

Magical Spell Books, Blessings and Curses along with a Mana system.
I'll make a book in-game describing these eventually (Update, this is at the world spawn)
There are some royals (Some very high maintenance free loading villagers) in my castle selling magical artifacts. The more dangerous ones can only be used 400 blocks beyond the spawn (e.g., Fireball, Chain Lightning, Poison Cloud, Ice Barrier, Immolation, Flesh Huntsman's Lure, and the Archaeologist's Shovel).
Blessings and Curses
These currently have 3 levels each, and last for 1, 2, or 3 in-game days, and have an hourly effect based on the level of the curse.
More items to come though, whatever I think might be helpful.

Claiming land
If you want your own plot of land that only you can build on, drop off a book with the X Y Z coordinates, and the dimensions of land you want. And maybe I'll let you own it.

Griefing new players is generally frowned upon, and player killing neutral/lawful players will drop your alignment to 0. I may build a gladiator arena at some point though, we'll see.

Mob griefing is on, however, creepers and tnt cannot be used within 300 blocks of the spawn. They, and anyone attempting to blow things up will be sent to the boom room. Withers summoned are sent to the Altar of Eris. Endermen are still free to roam, but if they start messing up my garden that might change.

A nether fort has been found, and magic_saryna is growing villagers on a farm somewhere, if you're nice she might show you where. An end stronghold and portal have not yet been located, (I don't get my hands dirty with dragon slaying, I hire mercenaries for that).
There is a very large sacrificial altar near the spawn as well, you must be level 10 to use it however, and you will die in it (hence the name).
Lastly, enemy mobs become stronger as you level up but so do you (beyond level 30). There's nothing ridiculously menacing though, like invisible creepers...
The world is an amplified biome, expect to see weird terrains. My realm is on Minecraft Java version.
