Ditto here too. I just checked Minecraft.net. The servers are now listed as being down for multiplayer and the website itself is said to be "shaky" Hopefully they'll get it worked out soon
I am having a similar problem but for me its the fact that I just purchased a new realm, restarted my computer and I am still getting the error code 401

Same issue here, sadly.
I've had this issue two days in row. it had come back but now it's invalid all over again.
1.8.9 realms.
I rebooted and it went away. maybe some process or connection must not be shutting off like it is suppose to when you exit the game sometimes.
