We’ve noticed recently a few people are beginning to use chat programs such as Minechat and others to connect to the server and be able to chat live. While this seems like a great idea, unfortunately on our server these programs are not going to be allowed. There are several reasons for this, among them:
1. We don’t allow flying on the server. These chat programs actually log your account in and your character floats in mid air, appearing to fly. This trips the log files out, throwing warnings that you’re flying.
2. They take up a server slot. We don’t want server slots tied up, especially once our numbers grow, by someone not actually playing the game.
3. As an incentive to play, the server grants you 1 monie for every minute you’re playing on the server. Since these programs view you as being “logged in” you’re earning money when using these programs. This is not fair to those who are actually playing.
In light of these, and some other reasons, we are no longer allowing chat programs. Anyone found to be logging in using these chat programs will be warned not to use them. Further violations may lead to disciplinary actions.
well i guess i should post something so here it goes. i am hoping by the end of the week i will have the fireworks area up and running just in time for the valentines day display, show time still not known, but i hope to see everyone there, be prepared for lot of red, pinks , magenta(still have no idea why its not called darker pink) and any other colors i feel like throwing in there. once i am finished with construction i will post pictures and directions to the area. oh youre not sure on which way is which, thats ok cuz in the city i built N,W,S,E markers in the sky to better help with orientation , specially for the new people and the old people that are easily confused *cough* cough* *figgy* *cough* just go to the city center and look up, if you cant see them you are blind ha ha. and also once i am finished with the display area i will add on to the horse testing area on the track, im going to add a jump tester there. it should be interesting to figure that one out (hint its gonna use redstone like the speed tester... i think) ok well thats all for now. see everyone on the server and happy mining.
just a reminder the chests around the city are not for your personal use they are being used by the city for the city and only select people are aloud to use them.. unless they are on your plot which you have personaly purchased. If you suspect any tampering with your chests or anything in the city or on your claims please let staff know so we can investigate further we take these claims verry seriously … if something happens and a staff member is not online you can pm us with a short outline of whats going on and we will investigate when a staff member is next on line..

well after being told i couldnt keep my fireworks launcher on the roof, i was given a spot to have it set up.. and guess what.. its done. the next big display will be on Vday (ugh i know i hate that holiday too, but not everyone does) but jsut to make sure everything is set up correctly i am goin to hold a small display this friday. unsure on the time so i guess you will all have to be on that night now wont you. its north east of the city, all the way out in the boonies ha ha. hope to see you all there. happy mining
Since I love all of you so much, I wanted to give you all something for Valentines Day!
First off, the night of Valentines Day, shortly before the fireworks SickQuirk is having. I’ll be spawning in an Ender Dragon (or two? ;D) and you all will be able to /roll for a chance to have your very own Ender Dragon! Make sure you have plenty of arrows and armor (I know of multiple shops in the city that sells both!), plus any weapons of your choice (Enchanted bows, powerful sword). Also make sure you bring food and potions along, as these Ender Dragon’s can be a pain to kill without god mode! Make sure you hang around that whole night, as I’ll be doing it around 7 PM CST (Look here to see what time it is in Central Standard Time!) and wouldn’t want any of you to miss out on the action!On top of the Ender Dragon slaying fun.
Ash and I will be running a sale on ALL city plots from now until the Sunday after Valentines Day! This is another 50% off sale, which includes scraper, residential, commercial, general and all pre-made lots that are officially sold by the city. Be sure to check out the new City Lot Polices to know which lots are officially sold by Newarch and to know all the new policies on these lots (I know they seem strict, but it’s there to make the city as awesome as possible!). Remember, you have 1 week from purchase to start construction, and 30 days from purchase to have a finished product (90 days for Scrapers!). So only buy what you can reasonably build on in a one-month time span! There will also be a hard limit of 4 plots purchased at sale price per person, so after those 4 you’ll have to pay full price (Sorry, we want lots available for everyone!)
Lastly, I want to remind everyone that SickQuirk is hosting the fireworks for Valentines Day, and he’ll be giving a more accurate time as the date approaches! If it’s anything like his past displays, they’ll be awesome! Be sure to log on and see them, as he spends over 100,000 monies on some of his displays, and that all comes out of his own pocket!! Show your appreciation for his hard work by watching the display.

I wanted to let everyone know of an exciting, albeit possibly a TAD bit inconvenient for claim owners.
Work on the subway is going to resume soon. It had resumed last night, but a snag in a plugin we're trying to use has put us back on hold. HOWEVER, this doesn't change the other issue we have.
Once the subway/rail system is complete, it will give people a slightly easier way to get out into the wild, instead of having to run through peoples' claims and through massive reserve areas.
Unfortunately, in order to accomplish this, we will need to run railways through some personal claims. In order to have the least amount of impact on personal claims we're doing two things: 1. We're building the railway about 10 blocks below ceiling, around 246 blocks up. 2. We're compensating anyone who owns a claim with a railway going through it with 5,000 monies. This basically works out to 1/4 of the purchase price of most claims.
But don't panic. If a railway is planned for your claim, we'll contact you first and make sure you're ok with it. If you just absolutely do NOT want the railway going through your claim, we'll work around you and give the money to someone else.
Additionally, I'm funding the project myself. While in the short term this isn't a big deal, as the railway grows, so will the expense. Therefore, I've set up a hopper in the main station across from the bank to accept donations. Any building materials (Except cobble) as well as currency (i.e. Diamonds, Iron, Gold and Coal) to fund payroll, as well as rails, redstone and redstone items are MORE than welcome. And thank you in advance if you're able to donate.
Well now that i know i schedules for next week, i will be having the fireworks around 11 est. on friday night (youll have to look up your time zones and log on accordingly) hope to see everyone there, and hope everyone enjoys it
As of tomorrow we have 2 claims going up for auction the first will be claim4 and the second will be claim122 as these have been previously owned claims they will come as is Tomorrow up to Wednessday you can view the first claim, claim4 then i will start the auction on wednessday it is going to be a silent auction how this will be accomplished is the starting bid is $5000 you send me a message on here of your bid only 1 bid per person and at the end of the day i will contact the winner . then on thursday to Saturday the viewing of the next claim followed on Sunday by the silent auction once again you will be required to message me on here your bid starting at $5000 monies only 1 bid per person then at the end of the day i will contact the winner this is to give people a chance to gather their monies together and everyone has a fair chance Selynis

On a side note, the purpose of a silent auction is to not be able to see the other bids. This gives a little more chance in the game. Bid too low and you won't win. Bid too high and you may over pay.
For example: Say your bid is 10,000 monies. Another person bids 12,000 and I bid 25,000. I could have won with 12,001 but since I don't know anyone else's bids, I just WAY over paid. So good luck everyone.
Hey Gang, we've noticed quite a few people who have been gone almost a month or longer. Our current server standards are that you don't have to play ever day, but that you at least stay active enough you're logging on at least a FEW times a month.
In the past, we've been lenient on this due to the server being out of date, plugin updates, etc. But we've been current for some time now and the server is beginning to become more active.
So if you're a land/plot owner and haven't been on in a while, you need to either let us know why or log on so we know you're still around. Anyone who hasn't been on in 30 days will have their property repo'd. Any materials from the repo will be stored for you to collect later, if you wish. But any actual land you own will be repo'd and re-sold or re-purposed.
If you have a legit reason for not being around, please contact us and we'll work with you.
