Why you are interested in the clan: I would love the opportunity to join a socialist clan, this although would be my first clan i'd be really eager to help and be involved in the community.
Welcome to the clan, G4bri3l and Daracke! You can find the links to the forum in your private messages.
A good conversation about the clan here too. I think we can call the current server a temporary server, until we get our own dedicated SCoM server. I emphasise the fact that it is a donation from the disbanded CRoM, and without their server host Kiodane we wouldn't have a server at all. I will try to contact Kiodane to discuss our options.
Alternatively, we could always either create our own server if any of our members have the ability to. Or we could get involved in a multiclan server, which is always something i personally have always wanted to pursue. It will allow us to interact with other clans and try to show others how well a socialist clan can work together.
If you want to contact some other clans, feel free. You are part of the Ministry of External Affairs, so the rest of the clan has it's trust in you to be our foreign ambassador. Of course, taking it to a vote might be nice... Put a post on the forums if you want to.

arent you us_of_alaska, a fellow member of the acom?
Yeah, i am. However for the last few months i've been a rather inactive member, i spent most of my time at the CRoM. I found the structure of government interesting, and wanted to experience socialism in a different environment. Since that didn't work out, i'm trying this. And it seems to be taking off fairly well. Do you remember me or did you just see my name on a list?
Change the title of forum to "The Socialist Commune of Minecraft (looking for multiclan server)"
I don't think we need to resort to that yet. We could end up with some dodgy servers if we do that. So maybe we should just trawl through the forums ctrl+finding for multiclan.

Socialism is the most logical way to create a clan in minecraft, I was actually surprised when I discovered capitalist servers and then completely astounded when I found that there were no socialist servers anywhere to be found. I have never stayed with a server for longer than a couple weeks because they're all the same thing: making your own mine, building your own stuff, and maybe trading with other players for stuff that they mined. I want to build a giant castle, a humongous library, a fleet of starships, a statue of a dragon that pours lava out of its mouth. I want someone to say "wouldn't it be cool if we made..." and then a bunch of people say, "yeah, that's a great idea," gather tons of resources, plan it out, and build it together.
Freaking capitalists and their misconceived notions that what works in real life somehow translates to a game with fundamentally different rules. I've been questing for six months to find one perfect multiplayer server and devote all my time to building ridiculously huge awesome stuff there, here's to hoping this is finally it.
Welcome to the clan, zarraha. You seem like exactly the sort of person we're looking for here. Check your private messages in a few minutes for the link to the forums. Once there you should be able to find the announcement thread detailing what servers we are involved in. I hope to see you there!
Oh, and we might be getting involved in a multiclan server, guys! I've just sent a pm to the operator of a multiclan server asking for more information on the rules and regulations they enforce. I want to ask you all a question on that. Does everyone else think that it's okay if they have a currency system, as long as we can simply not use it.

This would be my first socialist (and first ever) clan in minecraft. I really do hope to become part of SCoM, i have a feeling it will be a success.

Anyways this evil bourgeoisie capitalist supports this voluntary socialist commune in Minecraft.
Be expecting a common-law polycentric nation (not to forget the evil capitalist part).
[Insert Obligatory Notch Face]
Um... Thanks? I'm not sure what's going on here, did i miss something?
