It made sense. I see what you mean, a side server when we're bored isn't a terrible idea, but I don't see it as a priority right now. I've never even used that server, can you have factions? Feel free to set up a group on it, I might check it out today.

its a mmorpg which just recently, last Thursday, switched ownerships. Minecade now owns Dungeon Realms. I have been playing this server ever since open beta. Guilds costs 3Kg (aka 3000 gems (in game currency that are emeralds)). There are no factions and no claiming land you may build in your own realms. there are no levels they are teired armors. If you see some1 on the server with gold armor please do not laugh at them as gold is the highest tiered armor in the game. (T1 (teir 1)= leather armor and wooden weapons, T2= chainmail armor and stone weapons T3 iron stuffs T4 diamond stuffs T5 gold stuffs) Your experience bar is your stamina your level is the percentage of your stamina from 0% to 100% your hearts is your percentage health your armor bar means nothing hunger bar stays the same except your Hp regens even after you have 2 hunger gone. the ender dragon bar at the top of the screen is your total health and you start out with 50Hp. when you put armor on you get health. you can get to like 20k health maybe more.when you die you keep your armor but it loses 33% durability and if you have lease than 33% you lose ur armor as it is destroyed. you also keep your first slot in your hotbar and if that item has durability at all you lose 33% durability on that as well you also keep your character journal and ur realm star shard thingy and all the items you bought from the e-store. and there is much much much more to say about dungeon realms you just have to see it for yourself. wow i didn't expect this post to be thins long xD

It is our understanding at The Bulwark that your map contains a large quantity of sand. Sadly, we have very little of such a resource, so we would like to negotiate trading for large quantities of sand!

Oh ho ho! Let the negotiations begin! This'll be fun. How much will you be needing aprox?
Well that really depends on what sort of number you could supply, because we're looking to get our hands on as much as we can to make up the shortfall of our own world. If this means some sort of weekly trade, that can be arranged.
Before we do any trading, I need you to agree to a few terms, which of course can be negotiated:
1. An alliance with PotIH, which cannot be broken except by mutual agreement (entails helping in any war efforts to a reasonable extent, allowing imports and exports between our two clans, a lack of malicious attempts on the sanctity of either clan, etc.)
2. The minimum amount of sand required to be traded is 10 stacks, and for a minimal cost of 5 iron per stack. Both the quantity of sand to be traded and it's cost are subject to be raised, but never lowered.
3. The breaking of terms results in all out war, and a fine of 5-10 diamonds.
I hope these don't sound too unreasonable to you! EDIT: Revised some things.
No, I find these to be completely unreasonable, and here's why:
1) I won't ally with a clan that I don't consider stable, and while your clan has been making some great progress, you have a long way to go to even support your own ideology.
Ikioi Nation is dead and never even really took off, and you listed Dystopian Mercenaries as Dystopian Assassins. If you want alliances to be significantly meaningful, start with the alliances you already have. I understand your logic, but try to apply it to others as well.
2) 5 iron a stack is a decent starting point for negotiations, but I still consider it to be too high. Iron is also something we need much more than we do sand.
If you need iron more than you need sand, what is something you would be more willing to trade? Also, I know for a fact you're making a gold and iron generator at the moment, and last I checked sand generators don't exist.
3) If breaking a friendly trade results in an all-out war (and a fine) then I could do us all a favor by never even starting the trade in the first place. We're not slaves to the sand, we just need a supplier. If it's not the pirates then it could quite easily be someone else.
Fair point, but the war part was more directed towards breaking the alliance. Yes, others could supply you, but we have more sand than any other clan at this point and I for one don't feel like I'm asking for to much when I say I would like some security with the trade. I wouldn't want to collect lots of sand and then hear you found a better deal somewhere else now would I? All I'm asking for is some sort of insurance. Wouldn't you want the same?

Well, if they were vicious and backstabbing enough to take out their leader AND THEN THEY LOST, yes, they'd be kicked out for sure! The only one who has taken me up on that offer in four years is Valdrec funny enough. Needless to say I won.
Wanted to let you guys know that, at the moment, FrameworkMC is in Maintenance Mode while my staff and I migrate us from our current permissions system over to our new and vastly improved system. After over eleven straight hours of work on the server, during much of which multiple staff members were tirelessly working, FrameworkMC has completed the transition to our new permissions system (not just the plugin). This is a HUGE step forward, as it will make adding features in the future profoundly easy, and it also fixes many issues, some big and some small, that both player and staff alike had to deal with.
Aside from future-proofing and bug fixing, FrameworkMC also has several new features that we feel will significantly improve the player experience while playing. Here are the highlights:
New Politics channel! As with our other chat channels, you can type /p <message> to quickchat into it, or /ch p to focus the channel. Users who have not created a world are, by default, not joined into the channel. Those who have made a world (and are thus presumed to be clan leaders) are joined by default. All clan to clan diplomacy and political chatter, including trade deals and arguments about how big kelly's butt really is (that skank), should take place here. Also, it's a pretty cyan color!
New ranking system! Rank order is now: Default --> Citizen --> Moderator --> Global Moderator --> Admin. The addition of a Default rank now allows ANY player to access ANY world to look around and explore. These players will not be affected by hunger, cannot be harmed, will not attract mob attention, cannot place or destroy blocks, and cannot see your Map chat. So don't worry! No chance of spying or grief. Simply communicate to them using the 48 block Say chat channel.
New moderator commands! The new commands to add a user to your world is /manuadd PlayerName citizen. That's it! To remove a player, type /manudel PlayerName citizen. Easy as that. Keep in mind, the /manuadd and /manudel commands will take effect on the world you currently occupy. If you moderator multiple worlds, select the one you want to operate on with /manselect WorldName. Also, World Moderators can now affect Time of Day and Weather! Simply use /time day or /weather clear to make your world more enjoyable. There are other commands too. The full list will be made available on our website soon.
Improved server performance! New JVM optimizations improve chunk loading time and reduce block, mob, and inventory lag.

So, after being awake for 27 hours and 14 straight hours of work, I encountered one final issue that needed sorting, and then literally passed out involuntarily with the job incomplete.
New development you all need to be aware of. Map chat (/m, /ch m) is not private from others who enter your world. On the one hand, this is bad because spying. On the other hand, this is good because spying. Most clans have skype or teamspeak anyway, and you can always use whispers or make a meeting room for the 48 block range say chat.
Also, with multiworld exploration now being a thing, I've made a few permissions changes. By default, players of rank "default" (the black names) cannot open chests or, well, any thing else. Citizens (grey names) can. You can also /protect while aiming at a chest to protect it to you, and you can /protectadd UserName or /protectrem UserName to add others to the list. You can /protectpublic to make a protected chest public, and /protectprivate to return it to its private state.

It has been two weeks since I reintroduced the Pirates of the Infinite Horizons back on the scene, and since then, there have been many good and bad developments! In this semi-weekly posting called "The Pirate's Log" I will be giving everyone a glimpse into what has been going on, what projects are underway, and what we can expect from the future. This will hopefully provide current members with instruction on what to do when they're online, and also aid prospective recruitees get a sense of what a pirate's life is like.
NEWS
In terms of old pirates showing some interest in our clan affairs, there is a lot to discuss! AidanJan, FrankStallone, and Oniac , three pirates from over a year ago, have show interest in our clan! While AidanJan and Oniac are feeling a bit tentative about joining up with PotIH once more, Frank has come forward with an app! Hopefully Frank will make some great contributions to our clan, and for now at least he has been put in charge as our Admiral! Let's hope all goes well on that front!
The great Nathan Young has been very kind to allow us to get beta access to his incredible server FrameworkMC! Though beta is beta, things are looking fantastic so far, and the server is delivering on it's promise to promote and, yes, reinvent the idea of a multi-clan server. Our neighbors include CoM, Bulwark, Nirigore, Dystopian Mercs, and The Roman Empire, and the list is sure to grow with time. The IP is in our main post, and we could use all the help we can get with setting our area up. PvP is next on the list of things to be added, and when it is, we'll be right there ready to strike!
The Clan Section may be getting and overhaul according to my sources. Improvements to the quality of this section have been requested for as long as I can remember, and it's very exciting to hear MCF Administrators say they are working on making our Clan Section better than ever! What these improvements will actually be is not yet determined, but anything from front-page recognition to a "Clan Recruitment" board could come from this! I guess we'll just have to wait and see!
SERVER PROGRESS
While we haven't made as much progress as I would have liked, we are getting plenty of stuff done, from the practical to the aesthetic.
This is our main farm. Currently it's growing wheat, but it has grown potato and carrot in the past. We switch up the crop when we are in need of a different food, eventually we'll have dedicated farms.
The reed farm, which spans the circumference of our home island, generates more reed than we'll ever need, and also makes a nice mob shield for our base of operations!
The island closest to our home island holds our tree farm. It looks rather nice when it's in need of chopping, kind of like a mini forest paradise. It's the closest source of wood around.
We have a cactus farm as well. I don't know how many cactus there is, but it's enough for about 1.5 stacks at prime collection time. We may expand it later, or move it to a flatter spot.
Though it's not the prettiest vessel we've ever had, we do have a ship in our harbor. Inside it is the makings of an enchanting room, a storage area, and a boiler.
The Desert Temple right next to spawn has been looted and renovated. Right now it's empty, but I hope to make it a shrine to our land god, Ron, though that project is low on my priorities.
We have a "Sheep Grotto" going at the moment, a small escape-proof sheep pen underground. Pirate flags require wool, so this was the animal farm that was needed the most. We'll get around to other ones soon.
Thanks to Patar15, we've got a working zombie XP farm. All it takes is one punch, and the zombie will give you all of it's precious loot. Maybe a skeleton spawner will appear one day.
Finally, here's the harbor. It's huge! We can fit many a boat out there, it's just a matter of collecting the resources and making a plan. Maybe the Pirate King's ship should be next.

AGENDA
We need more valuables. We have two stacks of iron, 3 diamonds, and a little bit of gold and lapis. There's a mineshaft in the workhut, and a large mostly unexplored cave system down there, so if we work hard we can get much more loot. Word of warning: Lot's of lava!
Clan signature/topic banner. If we are to look professional, our main page is going to have to be snazzed up a bit. I want us to have a high quality signature that you can wear with pride, and I want to make the title on our OP be a picture, not just colored text. This will probably boost recruitment!
Speaking of recruitment, we've got to get more members! If you know anyone who would be interested in a clan, point them here! If you see somebody who looks intelligent enough, feel free to send them a PM with a link to our topic. Don't get spammy, but exercise your right to recommend. I'll be doing my share of this as well. I hope that by the next time I make a Pirate's Log, we'll have a crew of active members.
Sand collection! We have so much of it on our map, and it's a good trading commodity. As long as you don't make the terrain look ugly (AKA only take sand that won't affect the surface), you'll be doing us a huge favor. Don't trade any sand without permission from me though, because sand prices are heavily dependent on the buyer, and we want the most bang for our buck.
Events. We need events. I don't know what event we could host, but events are important for clans. If you have an event idea, PM me and we'll discuss it. Party at the Pirate's place!
Exploration. Our map is 500X500 blocks, but I myself haven't seen all of it. There could be undiscovered areas that are amazing, so if you could set out and try to see it all, it would be a service to the clan. We could have melons, a village, who know's? Make like Marco Polo and go discover something!
