See, the thing is, many clans that I've been in are TOO friendly during the application process. They're welcoming and friendly at the expense of being discerning and particular. We only want intelligent, social, contributing individuals for our residents. Believe me, once we've found a person like that, we embrace them with open arms.

All i can offer is a description of what it is. When me and my friends first heard about minecraft we quickly decided to try the free version of the game. We found a server and decided to start building imediatly. Within days we had created a castle that towered over the fellow players. Many had thought it was incredible. But with that we were not done. Off in the distence of the castle we saw a open area and decided to build a town that was open to the public and soon it bacame the most talked about place on the server.

Include at least one picture or video (or a link to either) and an explanation of something truly impressive that you have created, either in SSP or SMP: Sadly, I only have the capablity to explain the extensivness of the redstone system in my castle, as only one image would not do it justice, my 5-clock heart of the castle provides constant regulation to an external dispenser-arrow defence, for when the sun doesn't quite kill everything in the shadow of my battlements, along with several other features such as a fire alarm system. Most of this system is buried, so hard to provide an image for beyond an unimpressive looking floor, dispenser, or 5-clock.

I guess you didn't understand. You're really ****ing arrogant. You haven't given me a single reason why you should consider yourself hot ****, and yet you're going on and on like you're the best thing since sliced bread. There is no place for people like you in The Obsidian Empire.
Also, you're not fooling anyone. If you're as great as you say you are, you'd not be trying so hard to get in. You'd just mosey along and find a clan that WILL accept you. Hi-ho- I'm Chaos504- not very new to the game but still new. I'm pretty wimpy when it comes to big projects, but that's because I haven't got the time or the hang of it. I prefer simple function over complicated design- I also am good at besting mobs in combat, but that's not helpful. I've done quite a bit with them but would like to meet some people who understand how to convert traditional logic into redstone. 7. Explain why you have chosen to apply to The Obsidian Empire: Truthfully this will be my first Minecraft multiplayer experience. I've spent quite a bit of time in my single player world messing around with all the possibilities. I didn't even realize that there was multiplayer aspect to the game until checking out the forums. When I found this out I was amazed at the sheer depth of this game. Thinking of the things I have accomplished while playing solo, I cannot imagine what a group of dedicated individuals could accomplish.
8. Explain your opinion of the President or Prime Minister of your country: Having a military background I don't have much that I can say about the President. I believe he does what he can with the resources and knowledge he has at his disposal. It is not my place to judge the decisions that he has made. I will uphold my responsibilities and do my best to assist my leaders in whatever they may task me with.
9. Describe your homeland, especially what you like about it: I come from a sparsley populated area. There aren't many people around and it takes quite a while to get around which makes the people who live there very driven. I enjoy lakes and the thrill of discovery. It's amazing how people have created towns and cities that flow very well with the mountains that surround us. I believe in progress but that doesn't mean we have to be children while accomplishing our goals. I believe that joining a community of mature adults who are driven to create a world where we can all learn and better ourselves will benifit me greatly.

The amount of time it takes for a single person to create these objects is quite ridiculous. I've messed around with lava incinerators. I've strip mined just above bedrock finding diamonds and creating stronger tools expanding my fortress. My fortress consists of a moat, a small lake with water source blocks to create a waterfall. I suppose my more "impressive" creation would be the monster spawner that I made. This isn't mine of design but it is something I am quite proud of. I watched a tutorial which gave me basic specifications and then proceded to gather a lot of resources from my mines. During this I found more tutorials on how to create a cobblestone farm for infinite cobblestone. After farming several chests of cobblestone I went to work creating buckets for lava and water. I gathered 12 lava buckets and put an infinite water source at the base of my spawner and went to work creating 4 levels of "rooms" to create a spawner. Putting the water into some dug out canals so that the baddies would flow down to their impending doom to my lava. Their goods would then drop under lava that was held up by ladders and down another flow into a collection canal which would run the items into my main base. This is what made it simple for me to farm all of the baddies drops. I would simply walk by the items as the exited the canal and put them in chests that I put there for storage. It wasn't nearly as fast as some of the videos, but I suspect that they had several more floors for baddies to spawn.
In conclusion, I hope that teaching is something you guys do as I don't have too much experience in minecraft. I've created the basics and would really like to expand to bigger and better things. Thank you for your time! I hope to hear from you soon with your decision.

7. Explain why you have chosen to apply to The Obsidian Empire: I was looking for a new server to play on when I found this one in the forums. I seemed like a good server due to its areas and the way it's is set up.
8. Explain your opinion of the President or Prime Minister of your country: Prisdent Barak Obama .His passion to solve the countries problems is incredible. He tries to find new ideas and encourages interactive school activities which is always better then writing notes.
9. Describe your homeland, especially what you like about it: U.S.A. I'ts a great country. There are so many wonderful things to see and do. This country is an inspiration for what i build.

All i can offer is a description of what it is. When me and my friends first heard about minecraft we quickly decided to try the free version of the game. We found a server and decided to start building imediatly. Within days we had created a castle that towered over the fellow players. Many had thought it was incredible. But with that we were not done. Off in the distence of the castle we saw a open area and decided to build a town that was open to the public and soon it bacame the most talked about place on the server.

8. Explain your opinion of the President or Prime Minister of your country: I am highly critical of my governing body, but only as it affects me in a negative fashion, I have great respect for authority that respects me!
9. Describe your homeland, especially what you like about it: I enjoy the heat of summer and the cold of winter where I live, a varied enviorment is a creative enviorment, many programs I have written in the past have been inspired by a simple glance out the window.

Include at least one picture or video (or a link to either) and an explanation of something truly impressive that you have created, either in SSP or SMP: Sadly, I only have the capablity to explain the extensivness of the redstone system in my castle, as only one image would not do it justice, my 5-clock heart of the castle provides constant regulation to an external dispenser-arrow defence, for when the sun doesn't quite kill everything in the shadow of my battlements, along with several other features such as a fire alarm system. Most of this system is buried, so hard to provide an image for beyond an unimpressive looking floor, dispenser, or 5-clock.

I guess you didn't understand. You're really ****ing arrogant. You haven't given me a single reason why you should consider yourself hot ****, and yet you're going on and on like you're the best thing since sliced bread. There is no place for people like you in The Obsidian Empire.
Also, you're not fooling anyone. If you're as great as you say you are, you'd not be trying so hard to get in. You'd just mosey along and find a clan that WILL accept you. Explain your opinion of the President or Prime Minister of your country: I support my president and the endeavors he has made toward international peace and politics as well as domestic bipartisan cooperation. You could say the time he has invested to these ends has actually halted some progress in civil issues, which I think is at least somewhat true, though regrettable.

I've done quite a bit with them but would like to meet some people who understand how to convert traditional logic into redstone. 7. Explain why you have chosen to apply to The Obsidian Empire: Truthfully this will be my first Minecraft multiplayer experience. I've spent quite a bit of time in my single player world messing around with all the possibilities. I didn't even realize that there was multiplayer aspect to the game until checking out the forums. When I found this out I was amazed at the sheer depth of this game. Thinking of the things I have accomplished while playing solo, I cannot imagine what a group of dedicated individuals could accomplish.
8. Explain your opinion of the President or Prime Minister of your country: Having a military background I don't have much that I can say about the President. I believe he does what he can with the resources and knowledge he has at his disposal. It is not my place to judge the decisions that he has made. I will uphold my responsibilities and do my best to assist my leaders in whatever they may task me with.
9. Describe your homeland, especially what you like about it: I come from a sparsley populated area. There aren't many people around and it takes quite a while to get around which makes the people who live there very driven. I enjoy lakes and the thrill of discovery. It's amazing how people have created towns and cities that flow very well with the mountains that surround us. I believe in progress but that doesn't mean we have to be children while accomplishing our goals. I believe that joining a community of mature adults who are driven to create a world where we can all learn and better ourselves will benifit me greatly.

Include at least one picture or video (or a link to either) and an explanation of something truly impressive that you have created, either in SSP or SMP: I haven't really created anything of "impressive" quality. The amount of time it takes for a single person to create these objects is quite ridiculous. I've messed around with lava incinerators. I've strip mined just above bedrock finding diamonds and creating stronger tools expanding my fortress. My fortress consists of a moat, a small lake with water source blocks to create a waterfall. I suppose my more "impressive" creation would be the monster spawner that I made. This isn't mine of design but it is something I am quite proud of. I watched a tutorial which gave me basic specifications and then proceded to gather a lot of resources from my mines. During this I found more tutorials on how to create a cobblestone farm for infinite cobblestone. After farming several chests of cobblestone I went to work creating buckets for lava and water. I gathered 12 lava buckets and put an infinite water source at the base of my spawner and went to work creating 4 levels of "rooms" to create a spawner. Putting the water into some dug out canals so that the baddies would flow down to their impending doom to my lava. Their goods would then drop under lava that was held up by ladders and down another flow into a collection canal which would run the items into my main base. This is what made it simple for me to farm all of the baddies drops. I would simply walk by the items as the exited the canal and put them in chests that I put there for storage. It wasn't nearly as fast as some of the videos, but I suspect that they had several more floors for baddies to spawn.
In conclusion, I hope that teaching is something you guys do as I don't have too much experience in minecraft. I've created the basics and would really like to expand to bigger and better things. Thank you for your time! I hope to hear from you soon with your decision.

So this Coliseum sounds like a worthy challenge for me. (This doesn't mean I will be doing any B&E ;] It's mainly if the clan needs a member checked out without them knowing.) And I've been told I make a kick ass Sausage.

9. Describe your homeland, especially what you like about it: Scranton, Pennsylvania, USA. Hmm well the hit TV show 'The Office' takes place here but that's the only good thing. Scranton is a ghetto city of gas station robberies, and as young as 7th graders walking the streets fighting people and doing drugs, so there isn't anything I love about it. Plus it's ****ing cold I wanna move to California!

I've made things from hand carved island resorts/prison islands with Redstone cannon defenses and minefields if prisoners try to escape, to buildings like featured in the pic above.
