Great to have ya along, man!
As for your question,
I don't think what we're doing will look like griefing, but if that ends up the case, I'm confident we can explain ourselves and come to an understanding with the server admins. Griefing is probably going to be redefined when we enter Survival MP, just because it's a whole new game and has a smaller, stabler player base.
It doesn't have to be. There was an old fighting game for the Sega Genesis like that. It was like a cross between Vectorman and Mortal Combat in 90's style 3D. XD

Personally, when MP starts, I want to run around stealing err liberating resources from the upper crust hoarders, redistributing them to noobs.
And a secret base where people actually meet up.

Traditional griefing will decline in MP because it will take time to destroy a whole lot of blocks. Adding a lot of blocks will still require the wannabe griefer to go collect them, which is a slow process unless they craft tools.
and.. will we be griefing?

Not griefing.
Only when people oppress us or attack us do we fight back!
And then we do it with manly TNT, not with autoclickers. :smile.gif:
Will we be running around freely, or acting with a goal?

It's useless anyway.
There aren't any jobs, and nobody tolerates monarchial forms or government.
'Least not me, anyway.
Seeing as the Anarcho Communists of Minecraftia are supporters of the idea, but not working as a clan as such, I have created a group with the same mindset, but with a focus on activity. Please read the topic "Free Wind".
It will be a group focused on members supporting each other in as many ways as possible, while allowing them to live independently.

OVER MY DEAD BODY! unless I missed something, and fat cats is code for rich people with pockets so packed with gold, they look fat, and sit around in the sun all day.
It would be an idea to keep an eye on them (remember Master Sun's advice about the use of spies).
I've had a look, and it seems right now they're concerned with taking a set of items and/or resources on one server, and giving the equivilent on another server. All very well, acceptable even, and basically a part of a barter/debt-based economy (there's book by the anarchist anthropologist David Graeber on the latter that's meant to be quite good, haven't gotten a hold of a copy yet).
But there are stirrings that I noticed about 'trade prices' etc. on the 2nd page, and there's always the possibility that they'll take 'a cut'.
And if they start trying to bring people in on a codified (or even informal) monetary system, especially one that involves the accruing of captial, then that is obviously beyond the pale.
It may even pay for someone to drop a polite note to that effect. Just one person, obviously. I've even got a notion it should be in the form of one of those formal-sounding communiques from the Lacandon jungle that el Sup does so well.
EDIT: Also to add, that this also goes, for me, against the ideal of anarchism. People should have a hand in the production of their necessities and their luxuries, to better understand them and the land they ultimately come from. In minecraft this has a very practical import: you get to learn your surroundings from the search and crafting of the material, and on most servers I expect you would rely initially on the goodwill and mutual aid of your fellow 'crafters. This leads to a better understanding of your materials, your world, and your fellow inhabitants. The proposition put forward by the Nautilli inadvertantly, crassly and unthinkingly errodes this, giving a more atomised, disordered group of players on a given server.
By giving a new player on a server goods in a transaction scenario (in return for goods on another server) you diminish their understanding of the landscape they are on, and they lose the convivial relationship gained with other players on the server if they were to work together helping the newcomer get started.
This leads me to a suggestion: one of the roles of ACoM to be the assisting of newcomers and those generally in need (maybe death has robbed them of all they were carrying, etc.). This has the added result of undermining these 'traders' in their stated purpose - to set players up on a new server, but at the cost of resources on another server - on any server they happen to share with ACoM enclaves. We simply aid people, and expect them to render aid to others in a similar situation when they have the opportunity.
Plus, consider the disadvantages of a totally new player, or someone coming from a server where these people have no influence. Either they can't (or won't) give these new players a helping hand, or they give them resources on the condition of getting them back, with interest, later. Usury walks hand-in-hand with merchantilism.
Yes yes keeping an eye out is definitely a must. But as for the ultimatum, I'm not a fan. There's nothing wrong with it, sure. In fact, it's very civil. My approach has always been the "Be a force, then be an intellect" approach. Basically, act against (bank bombings, transaction ambushes, etc.) When questioned, explain reasons, but always wait for the question.
Just my opinion, tho.
As for the giving party, that's awesome. We should be wary, of course, of those who take often, but it's good to undermine the "authority" with such activity, plus it's just plain nice :biggrin.gif:
I can see the result. The fat cats will send their lackeys to strip mine a planet (world) and send the resources back to a home world to create and exclusive land for the Tenryūbito erm leaders. They will rule by fear.

Hmm... I'm not sure that the Nautiloids are much of a threat, considering the age of the last post in their thread. Still, it wouldn't hurt to keep an eye on them like others have suggested.
The last post was made back in March, and it's currently late June at the moment.
