This is a jail server, with the normal basics, which means to work the way up to the top, in this case, to be a free man. When I entered this server, I started in the lowest block, the C-Block, where everyone begins. Then the work started, I had the options to work in a tree farm, a mine, or a fishing pool. One problem is, you get the most money from working in the tree farm, so it is almost always full of people, opposite to the fishing pool, where I have never seen a player.
Everyone begins with 5000$, after some days of working, you may buy yourself up to B-Block for $15000. After that, there is the A-Block for $35,000, Elite for 65000$ and Free for $100,000.
B-Block contains several different ores, 2 mineshafts and a sugar cane farm.
The A-Block introduces animal farming and another quarry. And finally, the Elite removes PvP, adds more animal farming, cactus farming, and wheat farming. When you are free, it is basically like a normal SMP server.
I’m giving this server a 8/10, because the large issues about PvP, many people just camp outside of the shop, and kill everyone to sell their items, this make the server really annoying sometimes.
The server uses a large variety of plugins, which are named here:
MCSL
Essentials
iConomy
Worldguard
NoCheat
The community, is based around the website and the forum post, is a little “Whiny” sometimes, due to people not trying to talk to in-game guards, but if you look around you may find some nice people.
The “real” staff mostly consists of two Srg. Wardens, a few regular wardens, and many guards that handle issues on the server.
When it comes to creations, I would not say there are so many, but the jail is well-built, except for the long distance of PvP area between working areas and shop. Otherwise, there are small plots to buy, and build things on, and underground there are giant plots for sale to clans. As you move up, the areas will look better.
Pros:
Fun players to chat with.
You will enjoy this server, as long as you do some work.
Cons:
PvP jerks.
Too high sell price on some items.
8/10 – One of the best jail server around.

Niquecraft is a basic survival server with a few plugins. It features essentials, and factions as the basic plugins, but they didn’t forget about security. They feature all of the mainstream plugins such as NoCheat, MCBans, Anti X-ray, HawkEye, and Lockette.
Along with the plugins, they have a very unique playerbase. As the server is located in Australia, they feature a variety of players on the server. While I didn’t get to meet the staff, the rules, and regulations seemed to be well enforced. There was little to no griefing in the main areas of the server. The community widely isolated themselves because after an hour I was unable to make contact with a single player.
As you join the server you start out as a guest and can only build with certain blocks in the Free Building area. To experience the full potential of the server, you have to register on their forums. After, you can really get into the server by joining a faction or just teaming up with some friends!
Pros: The server features a few of the great plugins that everyone loves! Factions can be extremely fun and could last you for days!
Cons: The server didn’t seem to have a very steady playerbase, the spawn seemed very limited with little activity, the Free Building area is generally trashed, Registering on forums can be extremely annoying, and lags a good bit due to the server’s geographic location.
Overall I give the server a 4.5 out of 10!

This server is full of great and fun role-play of being a mythical Pony of Equstria. If you have ever enjoyed or at least seen the series of “My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic” then you’ll understand how this of role-play. With at least 10 people on everyday this server is always fun to hang out in. Although the role-play can get a little out of hand and people will take it to far. In some cases exposure of ponies “parts” will be spoken of. Other than that this server is great for anyone who is a fan of the “My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic” series.
When you spawn, you start off in what is Ponyville (Survival mode area) and you have the choice to stay in Survival, or move onto Equestria (Creative mode area). In Ponyville you can purchase and sell things that you collect and build your dream home.
In Equestria you can build almost anywhere, along with the ability to fly around the place. Both worlds are nice only one flaw is that the Survival is griefed quite a bit. With random holes in the ground to un-rolled back homes. If the homes, terrain, and buildings in general were fixed, then the server would look amazing.
Pros:
Great Community.
Helpful members.
Lot’s of Role-play.
Cons:
Griefed areas.
Some Players use “Bad” words.
Overall I give this server a 7/10

MineRaze is a server that allows in the spawning of items. They don’t have very many plugins, but the plugins that they do have are the bigger plugins such as: Essentials and Factions. Their Anti-Grief plugins are Hawk Eye and World Guard, both of which, most griefers try to avoid. Although the server is creative, you still have to work your way up. How so? Well, starting off in the server, you will only be able to spawn the basic items. Eventually, you will receive Creative Mode, Fly, and eventually a Moderator on the server, if trustworthy enough and can
cooperate with the staff.
Upon joining the server, I was immediately welcomed by most of the staff. The building in which you spawn is a large tower. The tower was very simple, and you will see there are signs to freely change the time to day and the weather to sun in case that the staff are offline. Going down the tower, you will also find the rules and the donator perks. You may have a bit of a hard time finding the exit though, as I did.
The player base averaged about 10 players, not including the staff, for the few hours I was on the server. The staff spent a lot of time on the server, and was on the server the majority of the time I played on here. They answered my questions straightforward and took my suggestions and opinions into consideration and implemented my suggestions if they feel it is necessary or useful.
Although there are servers that may be good, there is always something bad in servers. For this server, I disliked a few things. First thing, you always have to wait 3 seconds to teleport to spawn or your own house. I don’t find a reason to implement this into the server as it is creative, so there is absolutely no PVP involved. The next thing, I disliked the constant lag spikes I received from the server. They average about once every 10 minutes. The lag spikes could cause problems because a player may fall into lava while mining or possibly mess up a part of an essential part of a building, while creating the building.
Overall, the staff and community were very welcoming. The server had plugins to decrease the amount of griefing and always helped you out when you needed help. I disliked how the server had unnecessary plugins such as Factions (the server isn’t survival) and Reservations (was never used) to possibly slow down the server a little bit. I also disliked the constant lag spikes I received which proved to be VERY annoying. You will get bored quickly as it is a creative server and I felt that there was nothing unique in the server, besides the fact that plots were excluded and you had the natural land to build on which I admired. The spawn wasn’t flashy which I disliked considering that the server was creative. In my opinion, I give this server a 5 out of 10.

Skycraft is an RPG-server, where the base is to survive but in an RPG-way, with several plugins providing the RPG feeling, making it a cool experience to play on the server.
The server’s main plugins are:
iConomy
Herochat
Worldguard
Factions
Colony
And a plugin which enables a sort of magic, i have not been able to get the plugins name yet.
A major thing on the server, are the spells that can be thrown using a stick and the right materials, such as logs and gunpowder, it depends on what spell you are trying to cast, you can have up to 2 spells “equipped”, otherwise you have to switch materials.
When you start you have to do 2 “quests”, after them you spawn outside with a stick, sword, bow and arrows and food. After that you are free to leave the city and go explore outside the city (PvP), or just hang around in the city, chatting, as many people seem to do.
The community is not much to talk about, other than that is based around the minecraft forum post, and that the chat seems to be completely deaf, not answering to any of my chat messages.
The only staff member that was on while I was playing was Sarah; the owner never appeared to be online. There are some cool creations on the server, the city is cool and fairly designed, including the city there is some cool pixel art in the city, otherwise, there is nothing built outside, except for survivors houses, which i have not spotted any yet.
I rate the server 4.5 because the server isn’t so “special”, except for the magic plugin, without it it would be a normal PvP/Survival server, but if you are in to PvP and survival with plugins, this would be a good server for you.
Pros:
Magic system works well
The city
Cons:
Deaf community
There is nothing outside the city

CraftedMovie Public Server is a pretty popular server with a great community. This server requires for you to be whitelisted on it because they want you to understand the rules and avoid griefers, which is a big issue on most servers. No PvP and no griefing is what makes CraftedMovie unique. They are concentrated on teamwork and the best minecraft experience for those both creative, and adventurous.
There isn’t really a main plugin, they are trying to keep it as vanilla as possible. CraftedMovie staff want less modifications than the usual server. Fire spread and other things that are usually disabled for griefing protection on most servers, are enabled on this server. They simply use logblock to detect who has griefed what, and then roll it back.
The staff on CraftedMovie are often busy improving the server. You’ll see them on a lot, but sometimes they’ll be off because they have a youtube channel to manage. They have some really funny minecraft films. The admins there have an actual sense of humor, there is one popular admin called “Salted,” who wears a skin of a cow in a suit. They have a plugin where you can’t kill cows, this takes away a half a point from the overall rating for me, as cows can be essential for survival, they provide food and armor. When you hit a cow, the server kicks you. There are ways to get around this, like burning the cows.
Final verdict: This server is fun to play on if you like survival or just regular building. They have a good number of players on all the time and are able to manage the server pretty well. Overall, my experience on CraftedMovie was really good, it really brings the original idea of minecraft to my mind. The only thing that is not too great is the “Can’t Hit Cows” plugin, but as said before, you can get around this and I am pretty sure this is just a joke, afterall the staff do have a pretty good sense of humor.

Thanks for the review, I am the founder and owner of Niquecraft. I think your review was well written and fair.
Sorry that it wasn't clear enough at spawn, but guest can build outside the free building area. The only restriction they had that member didn't was the use of buckets and creating factions.
The free building area was a place created where mobs did not spawn, factions could not claim and player vs player damage was disabled.
The spawn is however protected something like 100x100 blocks to prevent griefing and ugly builds near spawn.
However, since this review the rules have been changed, I have bought more advertising to draw more players, I have removed the guest rank all together and you now join as member.
The forum is completely optional and not required. It is for plugin tutorials, faction recruitment, for players to get help and make suggestions as well.
I am sorry about the lack of staff on at the time, but as I feel you all ready understand, security is a key focus for this server.
I feel as if this review is outdated and does not reflect on the server any more because of this.
I would love for you guys to come check it out again and see if you feel any different about the rating.
For the small list of cons, 4.5 seems kind of harsh.
