Right you guys have seemed to get all excited without any approval from the High Command. I am open to suggestions, and am glad that you guys are trying to make the clan better. However, I am going to have to turn down several of these ideas. Firstly, the special ranks or group idea thing in the battalions - it is up the battalion major to organize his battalion and having pre-defined groups is going to be in-efficient and complicated.
Secondly, we are not going to use colours on the uniform to identify ranks - we never have and never will. You can simply ask for someone's rank and they will provide it correctly. Which brings me nicely on to the topic of when to say "sir". You always always always use either just "sir" or "name, sir". Secondly, if you do not know weather someone is higher and lower than you, you say "sir".
Sorry not to take any of the suggestions and use them, but they are all terribly complicated.
Have you decided to keep the current combat skin, sir?

Why you want to join: I want something to be my focus on when I play minecraft, and I think a clan would be a good way.
How you heard of us: During the website broken thing incident I decided to read around the forums so I saw clans for MineCraft and looked for one that I might be interested in joining.
Battalion you plan to join: 1st
Alright, I'm on vacation in the mountains, and there's no internet available where I'm staying. In this brief time I have at this Starbucks, I'll try and address things that I remember.
First, good to see so much activity in our thread here.
Second, regarding the rank colors, on our uniforms. I like the idea, somewhat. But the problem lies in a number of places, like needing to constantly edit skins (Which not everyone can do), like difficulty in distinguishing colors, like having to teach everyone what the heck it means. I'm with Major General iPope on this: Not now. Perhaps in the future it will be worth considering.
Third, regarding the specialist ranks. These positions exist, but are not titled really. If someone is good at a particular task, their commanding officer will no doubt notice this and assign them to it. The need for ranks or titles is unnecessary.
Fourth, about the squads/teams. It has been assumed that when our member count reaches appropriate size, the battalions will be divided into squads. The majors will still command everyone in it, but they will command through Sergeants, who will relay those orders to their squad members. It is up to the battalion as to how specialized each squad will be. Shapeshiftr's layout for the 3rd is reasonable, each squad having one specific task set. The first, however, might do better to keep squads equal, (one archer, two swordsmen, one whatever) rather than specialized (One squad all archers, one all swordsmen). Or not. Who knows, that's up to Aidan.
Fifth, regarding the RMM map on Dysgalt's. Yes, please everyone add to the bunker. It's still tiny, and everyone seemed to want that as our next map. If you do not have the rank required, ask an op or higher to promote you, tell them that you are an RMM member, hopefully that will work. And if an admin+ would please lower the map build rank to Trusted Builder, I would be grateful.
Sixth, regarding the clan motto. Please continue discussing this. Major General iPope once set it to Build, Defend, Die. But in my personal opinion, dying implies defeat and we don't want that. So a more uplifting motto would be nice. The Battalions each have their mottos, I like them, but our army should have one as well.
Seventh, as to training manuals for the battalions. All majors should start on one, excluding the 1st and the 2nd (PvP strategy is not yet established). Please share them with me or iPope before publishing. If you don't want to make one, let me know and I will.
Finally, and most importantly, iPope's vision for the future of the RMM. Indeed, recognition is critical. I have done my best by publishing our group indev maps and projects, advertising in the minecraft channel, and encouraging our members to recruit new soldiers and new servers. We need to continue to excel, and the members will come. One idea would be to create a small infdev map (Perhaps using NBTEdit to get materials) that has archery ranges, monster spawn arenas, and the like to give our members a training ground. If anyone is interested in that project, please go ahead and start.
Good luck everyone. I'll report in again later this week.

Why you want to join: I wanted to join a clan in Minecraft that seemed a bit deeper than raiding, and a bit less complicated than having bloodlines and wacky crap like that. I can take orders, or give them when it is needed.

I made a edit of a picture i found on the internet of a latin quote posted some time before, Fortius quo fidelius - Strength through loyalty. I chose to make something for this because i have always prided myself for being "loyal" unfortunately, i cannot size down the picture to use in any good way...

Why you want to join: I want to be in an organized clan, ready for things yet to come in MineCraft. Since it's a large family, this creates the best opportunities for large-scale fun when infdev multiplayer arrives. Oh, and I want more people to chat and have fun with.

Just a quick update on the status of Mystery_Project.
In the interest of security, the minimum rank to access RMM_only will be increased to Op+. Naturally, all serving RMM members will be promoted accordingly. Thank you RMM for your active participation on our server!
