Using this to draft up stuff for my new town called "The Outpost", based on the original Outpost Clan
Clan History
“Its formation was silent, and they were sneaky. Outpost was known for randomly attacking bases and leaving no trace or sign on who it was. They are the most unknown clan on the server due to their secrecy and discrete nature. The Outpost Clan is secretly operating out of the spotlight.”
We are a fairly small town in a hidden location, and prefer to keep to ourselves. Players who are a part of The Outpost are expected to remain combat efficient, but more importantly have a good time. By following the mantra "If it's not fun it's not worth doing" we make sure to have a good time every time we play. Outpost began playing on the KrypleKraft server (long closed) in early 2011, and is now actively playing on DWA Gaming (mc.dwagaming.com). We’ve had our ups and downs, but have continued to survive and thrive!
Benefits to joining Outpost Clan
Being a clan with years of experience we are able to help newer players adjust by providing starter kits, along with protection. Upon being accepted into the Outpost Recruit program, you will be awarded a recruit starter kit. The kit consists of the following:
- Protected starter shack (Keep items safe from raiders)
- Five pumpkin seeds
- Five watermelon seeds
- One set of leather armor
- One iron sword
- One reed
- 10 iron ingots
- Access to our entry level mob grinders/exp farms
- Access to public enchanting room
- Access to town and player owned shops within our borders
Ranking System
Recruit is the lowest rank of the Outpost Clan, and will have the least amount of power among clan members. After you have reached a certain level and paid your tribute, you will be promoted to corporal. Corporals have proven themselves to be trusted clanmates. This rank is to be considered the first “real” rank on the clan ladder.
Official Clan Rank System
(From lowest rank to highest ranking)
Recruit – Fresh members to the server and clan, this is the lowest rank. This rank is an opportunity for new recruits to learn more about the clan, while adapting to the server. To be promoted to Corporal status, a recruit must show activity on the server and within our town community and pay tribute to the clan before promotion. Tribute is used to cover the expenses of your recruit starter package. The amount of tribute to be paid before being promoted to corporal is as follows:
- One gold block
- 64 wheat
- 64 reeds
- 32 iron ingots
- 64 smoothstone
Corporal – This is the first “official” rank where you will be recognized as a functioning member of the Outpost Clan. Most members of the clan will be corporals, and will be promoted once higher-ranking officials deem you are fit for a promotion. Corporals are expected to help recruits get their bearings with the server and clan while following orders from higher-ranking clan members. All corporals are expected to pick at least one combat related skill to focus on, and one civilian related skill. These will become the players jobs within the clan which will help the clan grow in both strength and resources. Corporals are eligible to move out of the entry level player houses. More details about skills will be explained later in this post
Sergeant – The lowest of the officer rankings, sergeants have proven they have what it takes to begin climbing the leadership ladder in the Outpost Clan.
Lieutenant – 3rd highest rank along the Outpost Leadership Ladder, lieutenants have proven they have the ability to lead squads/settlements of other clan members. Read below to find more information about squads and settlements.
Captain – In charge of making sure squad leaders are doing their jobs, they are in charge while a General or the clan leader is offline.
General – Treated as co-leaders, generals have full capabilities of kicking and adding players to/from the clan.
Leader/Owner – If you don’t know what this rank is about, you need to go sit on a cactus and think about your life choices
Clan Jobs Each member of the clan is expected to have at least two jobs within the clan. We suggest one combat skill, and one “civilian” skill. With all the members contributing resources, we help to cover each other when a player needs supplies, and also use the resources to create a bigger and badder clan base. Don’t feel like you should contribute to the clan’s resources? Then don’t expect the clan to help you when YOU need resources!
Non Combat Related Jobs Miner – It’s as easy as it sounds. Your job is to help provide the clan with the much needed mineral that help build the clan base, and provide new recruits with shacks.
Lumberjack – Got wood? Those with this job do! Chopping trees with their iron and diamond axes, lumberjacks help provide the clan base with minor details by providing the raw material needed for ladders, chairs, etc. Stone is strong, but wood helps tie a base together.
Farmer – Farmers are a vital asset to the Outpost Clan by providing the food to heal our fighters during fights. While our clan pig farm could feed a thousand men, our fighters need variations in their diets. Wheat, seeds, reeds, pumpkins, and melons are all much needed supplies to help a clan grow and flourish. Terrafirma Expert – Masters of the shovel, those who choose this job will be called upon when mountains must be moved or built.
Blacksmith – These clan members are in charge of repairing armor, creating swords, and making sure the clan is ready for battle.
Combat Related Jobs (These job descriptions are short and to the point because the names pretty much say it all)
Swords-men – Live by the sword, die by the sword.
Axe-men – Axe carriers dish out heavy critical hits, and are known for their tank-like combat style.
Archers – Attacking from long distances, Archers provide covering fire while close quarters combat specialist go in for the kill. Archers are extremely important in squad based combat, and can make the difference between a win and a loss.
Clan Squads/Settlements
Clan mates ranked Lieutenant and above have the power to start their own squad within OPC. Squads act as smaller extensions of OPC, and operate own their own.
Benefits to joining a squad:
- An experienced clan member as your squad leader will help you in anyway possible. Be it PVP coaching, protection, or any other form of advice your squad leader will help in anyway possible.
- Squads may later form into separate divisions of Outpost if enough members join the squad.
- A squad must have at least 3 normal clan members led by a lieutenant or higher.
- Squads will be named by the color of the flag they fly over their base. For example, if your base has a blue flag, you will be OPC Blue Squad. Color codes help members know where each base is in case of an attack by enemies. Ie “We are under attack at Blue Base”.
Town Rules:
Do not bring in non-residents for any reason. Any non resident found in/around the town will be killed on sight.
Residents who bring in outsiders will be kicked from the town.
Do not enter another resident's housing plot without permission.
Do not place pstones adjacent to town borders
Take turns on the community resource centers - Ie grinders, wool farms, etc
Follow all server rules. Ignorance is inexcusable.

Current Clan Projects
- Currently we are working on our mega tower. This tower will have an area of roughly 100 square blocks, and reach from bedrock to around the 175 or so sky level. This project will be using a literal ton of smooth stone! Tower will include public mob grinder, stores, and multi tiered housing for all available units.
- Town stores - both player and city owned towns will be up and running shortly. Please see leadership for store rental opportunities.

Added a new clan banner to this post and started working on the clan mega-tower. This thing is huge, didn't expect it to take so many stone bricks to start building! It'll eventually hold all clan mates, along with a grinder or two
Added a "clan jobs" section to the original post. While not a requirement it is nice to see players spread the load of providing for the clan and town. I am doing by best to add stores to the town so every position has a chance to earn a great deal of money. Please let me know if I need to make any changes!
Also going to be hiring miners/terraformers very soon for some big projects!

Nice to see a couple of other players getting back into it after a hiatus. I also took a couple of years off and decided to get back into it, been a lot of fun!

Have a cool story to tell about a clan related project? Any clanmate who posts a paragraph/picture about what they have been working on or doing on the server will receive $100 in game money. Limit one payment per 24 hour period!
This isn't related to joined the clan. Although that would be extremely fun. It is more so about the server itself; there are some really great players @ mc.dwagaming.com. Most likely one of the friendliest communities on mc I personally have ever come across. Would highly recommend this server to anyone and everyone, wonderful players and just some really good people.
DWA Gaming server is a really friendly and comfortable community whenever players are on and is always finding ways to help make the gaming experience on the server more interesting. It would be a good idea to at least stop by and give the server a chance if you fit in or not. I am an active player on the server that usually contributes to friendly atmosphere of the community and wish to see new faces join the server. I hope to see new members soon!

As for a person who prefers silence (in plan of gaming branch *asassin,etc*), I found clan’s history, and clan it self good place to recieve wealth of new experiences and getting to know more people in minecraft community.

I want to join because you guys work like i do silent but well organized and friendly and see that gaming is about the fun in playing not in just doing what everyone else does. Few reason i could be seen as helpful I can fit any roll you ask me to do, I love group work, I have Skype, Teamspeak, Curse, and pretty much most commonly used voice comm services. I am well trusted from what i have been told and i can make fun of most time and place no matter what is happening. Also a little irl about me i am a Eagle scout in the Boy Scouts of America and work a part time job well i finsh my senior year in High School.
