I'm making a server hosted in my own house for me and my friends. I doesn't have any question about creating process, but can someone tell me how a Minecraft server works? How they searchs for doors in the network, how they connect... questions in this way.
If I used bad English, sorry. I'm from Brazil and I'm still learning English.
No worries! Essentially you have a public ipv4 address where anyone can connect to you, and each device in your house has its own internal up address... when you port forward you are essentially allowing the ipv4 public address to go directly to a computer of your choice through tcp and udp protocols... hope this helps, but if you have more questions my discord is PeterP12#4044
