So i'm trying to set up my own server for me and a couple mates and I'm doing ok but I just can't seem to get port 25565 open. The server is running fine, I can connect with localhost as well as the internal IP but I can't get an external connection to work.
I'm using a 2wire 2701HGV-W if that helps.

By the type of router you have your on att-uverse. Here's the best place I can send you for help. They have dozens of pages that can help you.

As for the OP: Can you post what you see when you had port-forwarded and what your cmd said when you type "ipconfig"

Heres another that has tones of info on routers as old as yours. Direct link to the page you need.
