I tried this seed using Pi out to many decimal places: 3.1415926535897932384626433 (from wikipedia)
The seed is a bunch of islands in the little bit of exploring I've done so far I found two isolated two mountains near x: -486.4, y: 69.6 z: -10.9.
UPDATE 09/23/2011: I tried this again on the 1.9.1 pre release and the spawn point is changed (spawned two times in same spot.) The new spawn point is a long ways from the ravine I found. The new spawn point is x 112.5 , y: 71.6 , z= 256.5.
The old spawn point was at x -301.5, y: 65.6, z= -288.5 (tried it two times both at this spot). Right next to the spawn is a shallow pit with some coal and iron at the surface. The spawn is in a swamp biome which I have found that I actually enjoy due to the trees and the flatness of it. Also there were lots of animals around me - mainly chickens and pigs.
There is a nice ravine at x: -389.5, y: 64.5, z: -196.7. I haven't explored it yet. In the pics, I'm standing on a bridge that spans the ravine. Here are two pics of it:

Seeds are obfuscated to a numerical equivalent as soon as you generate the map. Try putting in letters, it'll still come out as numbers like that.
Huh. Neat thing to know, just tried it out and "3.1415926535897932384626433" does come out as "-680606165".
