The first thing that came to mind when I read about the new official height limit was: SKYSCRAPERS!
Following that thought, I decided to replicate the LEGO Eiffel Tower:
I once built an Eiffel Tower that someone replicated from this one, but reducing the size, because of the height limit. This time, I included every block possible, using the new inverted stairs and half steps to help me.
You may notice that some pillars are "fatter" than others, and that's to run redstone all the way to the top. Yes, I also included the new redstone lamps for the ilumination.
The total size is: 52x52x110h
Here's the pics:
Early construction
Almost finished, missing the plaza below. Notice how the bottom third has a wrong outer curvature, I'll try to fix this later.
Finished, ignore the building to the right, it's another project. The flying fireballs appeared out of nowhere, they just stand floating there and don't disapear, lol
With the lights on at sunset.
The plaza and the wrong curvature is more visible here
Lateral detail
The tower seen from above
Detail on the top
Bottom to top vision
First floor. I didn't make stairs to access this and the second floor, but I pretend to add this later
At night, lights off
At night, lights on
Here's where the magic happens (this is for the lights on the second floor only)
I'll make a video and post here as well if you guys like it. Comment, criticize, compliment, whatever, but specially try to add new ideas to this, I want to make it as real as possible.
