I started working on a Resource Pack last night with a friend and so far we've texture logs, planks (and stairs, half slabs, and fence), shovels, axes, swords, hoes, bow, item frame, stone, grass/dirt/icy grass, buckets, ores, gravel, and sand. Just wanted to see what everyone thinks so far and if it's something they'd be interested in using. If you don't like the style of the pack, please don't confuse that with the pack being bad. I'd like criticism but nothing blatantly rude. There is no download for this and there will not be until it is finished, so please don't ask I also have not come up with a name yet but I have some ideas and I won't be taking suggestions unless its just perfect. So, here it is so far.
You should embed your images in your post. Not link us to other sites.
Also, you should take your snapshots during the day, not night. It's a lot easier to see the details and colours that you used.
Your textures aren't bad, but there's room for improvement. The wooden planks look more like tree bark to me. I can't really tell if your grass and stone is having a tiling issue, or if it's just due to the lighting on that setting, so again make sure you take your snapshots during the day.

Ok I'll do that with the images next time, but I'm too lazy to go back and change them all right now. lol. And yea, hopefully once we get all the block textures done we can see them side by side and make some improvements. I'm not really happy with the planks either but they work for right now until more of the pack is finished. And here is another image of the grass/stone/dirt textures. What sort of tiling issue are you talking about?
Nice skins btw. I may be using one of those in the future, as I'm terrible with skinsps: already gotten the suggestion to downsize the squares in the grass+dirt, so I'll be doing that soon
Looks nice. Also, if you want to add more texture to your images to try and get rid of that "smooth" look, one easy way is to simply save the image as a Jpeg, potentially changing file suffixes several times until you achieve the desired result. This reduces the quality of the image to your advantage and produces "noise" that actually looks quite nice ingame. Good luck.

Playing since Alpha 1.1- when the grass was so neon-hued, you needed sunglasses.

I actually am going for the smoother cartoony feel so I probably wont do that but its a nice tip. I'll stick it in the ol brain for later I probably won't be updating this at all, I rarely use this site. But here's the link if either of you want to follow my progress. Added stones and some crafting blocks (furnace chest table) as well as a few other things. I'll be sure to make a proper post here whenever I finish it. Maybe it'll get some downloads

Well I was thinking about naming it after the server I play on, but I'm waiting for the owner to get back from holiday before I ask if he's ok with that. lolOnce its done I'll make a proper post about the pack and all it's features. This was kinda just to see if I should keep going in the direction I chose
