Before you post your pack, I strongly recommend that you become a part of the community. Read some threads, see what other people have done, try to get a feel for how we do things. Most of the new people who post packs right from the off end up getting really negative feedback because they jumped right in thinking they had something amazing... when really they had the same garbage that every other new person posts. I'm not saying that's the case with you, but it's very likely.
Getting to know the community will really help you out. We're generally very nice (except for the guy who posted above me who was a bit over the top <_<), and love to help artists improve their work. We also have higher standards because we're a community of artists, though. Laziness will not go over well here. Things like "simple packs" and packs where it's just the default but slightly edited will likely earn you no small amount of ire. On the other hand, once you go beyond this, you'll find a lot of wonderful people who will happily help you improve you skills.
That said, if you really want to jump right in without a clue as to what our community's standards are, here are some instructions you may find helpful:
First thing: DO NOT USE TEXTURES FROM OTHER PEOPLE'S PACKS, IMAGES YOU FOUND ONLINE, SONGS OFF OF YOUTUBE, OR SOUND EFFECTS FROM OTHER GAMES!
Sorry to yell, but we've had a rash of people recently who think that they can do whatever they want with other people's work. If there's anything in your pack that you didn't make 100% by yourself from scratch, remove it before posting your pack. Yes, even if it's one of the default Minecraft textures/sounds. You will get flagged for copyright infringement and your post will be removed. Please, for your sake and mine, do NOT make this mistake. Thank you.
Now that the PSA is out of the way, every pack posted on this forum is required to have pictures or video accompanying the post. For pictures, I recommend uploading them to imgur.com and then posting the link ing your post. Here's a Guide on how to do that if you don't already know.
For videos, I'd recommend Youtube. I don't have a guide handy, but basically just use the "Share" tab, and put that url between Media tags like this:

For posting the actual pack, you'll need to actually upload it to a hosting service. Mediafire.com and dropbox.com are the two most popular. If you have a website, you can also upload it there. Any place where the file is publicly accessible for download. Then, post the link to that file (you may have to use the "Share" feature of your hosting service) in the forum. You can easily use the create link button in the editor for that.
Welcome to the community cam2363. May you be better than the other 99% of the new people we get here.
