Distant Anomaly is a total conversion of the Minecraft survival experience into a scifi characters, locations and items set in a detailed scifi universe.
This version of the pack was cancelled, however I have began working on it again in a WIP thread found here: http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/1887223-wip-thread-distant-anomaly-revival-161/. This version is still functional, but incomplete. I will keep this thread and download links running until I put new ones up on the WIP thread.

GUI Update (January 18) – Completely redesigned GUI and title screen. Also launches Codex 2.0, which fits the style of the gui
Mob Update 3 (February 1) - Any and all mobs that have yet to be completed, including: sheep, enderdragon, ocelots, etc.
Nether and End Environment Update (February 8)- Blocks pertaining to the End and Nether.
Environment Update (February 22) - Water, leaves, lighting; everything that makes up the minecraft biomes
RELEASE/FINAL UPDATE (March 1) – Finalizing rough textures, finishing leftovers, and adding the language pack.________________________*All lore is temporary until release and is subject to drastic change*
I reckon the diamond ore needs changing, it doesn't look that good at the moment compared to the rest of the stuff... As it only has 2 colours and no shading, I do like the pattern but it just needs more detail
I agree it's certainly something I wanted to change. (The cobblestone wasn't shaded until yesterday when I made the green stone bricks). I will probably do this next. Also, FYI, the diamond ore is supposed to be like an Alien Artificact
I love it, but dude, your download link is seriously messed up. Zip it and upload somwhere instead of giving us the directory.
Nothings wrong with the download link. When you get to Google Drive just click File --> Download. Mediafire doesn't work with Adf.ly anymore and I'd rather not upload on some shady backwater file sharing site. Google Drive shows the contents of the zip folder, but you can download the entire thing using the aforementioned method.

Please note that I need help coming up with names for everything marked with "ERROR: NULL". The brown metal is a metal replacing iron, and the glowing blue is the replacement for mossy cobble (also need names for dungeons).
I planned on an update yesterday for all of the wool...but its proving to be extremely challenging. Since I don't use colors for my wool and I use actual components, I came up with the idea that the Makers who build this planet had a machine (white wool) that could transfer matter into a new object with schematics (dyes). But because dyes and be combined and also used for other things (black ink for book and quill, cocoa beans for cookies) it became infinitely more complicated. Does anyone have a simpler approach or any suggestions?
Absolutely love this texture pack and I can assure you that if you continue like this it will be a huge success between every minecraft playing scifi fan like me.
If you need inspiration I knew a french scifi movie on youtube that used the same style as you do. Unfortunately I forgot the name of it but If I ever find it I'll post a link.

Instead of the wool being the machine, and the dyes the schematics, what about the dyes as the machines? They would alter the wool/crops/whatever they are combined with, and consume themselves in the process. The matter conversion requires large amounts of energy, most of which is provided by turning part of the machine into pure energy (E=mc2), which explains why the dyes are consumed. For coloring sheep (or whatever you turn them into :P), you could say it uses part of the energy from animal's cells to make the conversion - since it is pretty minor - so the machine isn't consumed and the animal isn't harmed.

I'm not sure I like the idea of the wool being the machine. Plus that might be a little hard to explain in the little hologram things I've been making...LOL. Don't take this the wrong way though...Im really glad you actually came up with something. I'm still not entirely sure about my idea either. Technically if I wanted I could start planning things that are similar to be the ones that mix when the dyes mix...for instance the hologrid type wool I have right now could be made into the console with an electronic block...stuff like that.
