Minecraft is a simple game, so stripped grain from the textures to give it somewhat of a cartoon feel with some artistic adjustments to deal with x16 graphics. Please enjoy and Thanks!Note: You will need OptiFine or MCPatcher to view this Texture Pack correctly. As far as I know, it only affects Random Mobs now.
This is definitely better than most other simple packs I've seen, but like the above post states, it needs more uniqueness. This is just another generic simple pack that everyone has seen somewhere before.

Needs a lot more shading. (Simple packs can have shading.)
Also, filling a box with a single, flat color is lazy and boring.
Not sure what you mean by shading... but the point of the pack is to give it that flat feeling. While I worked this early on, I had applied a Highlight and Shadow effect to most textures and it had this bubble-look effect that put everything off. Plus, anything I was using for Grass and Stone just upset the flow, so they're on the back burner for now until I finish what's currently on the 2Do list. If you anyone thinks a certain texture in particular needs a shading affect, let me know. : )
Note: I wouldn't call it 'lazy' as Flat Color does raise the challenge of making the texture / mob / item still recognizable after the work is done.
This is the GREATEST simple texture pack around. I wanted this pack, because it gives me maximum FPS. If you can do one thing, please remove the small amount of pixelation on ice and make it a light blue.

Everything else is great. Enjoying this SO MUCH!
Thank You!
Simple packs don't improve fps because minecraft still loads every pixel even if they are bucketfilled. Now to the point of the texture pack, I have seen thousands of packs almost identical to this one. I realize that you were going for a flat look, but the fact of the matter is that it's not unique and it doesn't look very good. It could definitely needs more shading and here is a tutorial to help you out with that: http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/590489-tutorials-making-textures-like-leostereo/page__st__20

That is an excellent idea, it'll be in 1.3 Release.

Some of your blocks have shading, but many don't have any.
Maybe this can help!
On the Left, Your Textures.
On The Right, Textures from my Spring Breeze Pack.
It's easy to make good looking simplistic textures, you just gotta
know how to do it, and to have a good palette. Your colours are
WAY too default
Updated the Pack, new pics will come soon. Also, I tested the CTM with OptiFine, not MC Patcher. Please let me know if any issues come up (purple Textures will show if any).
Version 2.1... Fixed the "Ghost Effect" that the Enderman and Spiders were having. Runs fine on Vanilla MC, let me know if you are still getting Ghosts. Thanks for the look. Laters!
It doesn't look like you put much effort into it
The textures in there I could put together in less than 30 seconds for each
I still like the pack though

Actually, as far as the final product (2.4), I've been working for months now (since November 2012). People think most of these are just bucket fills of color and simple drawings, which is true, but you have to choose what colors so the world blends nicely, what details you choose to enhance and to lose completely so people can recognize them. Not only that, you have to make these blocks just detailed enough to be viewed at a distance or in the inventory to. (Example in my pack, I get Gravel and Stone mixed up alot, which is a fix I'm working on at the moment).
Plus, this pack supports Random, CTM, Shaders, etc. which is very hard to do with simple packs. I like Glowstone to have a solid CTM, but the CTM would break if I gave it a border. Upcoming 2.5 fixed this for both CTM and NonCTM users.
Since I'm here, Planned Fixes and Enhancements (Glowstone, more Animations, Shader Issues (RedStone Lamp, Spider, Enderman))
