I've never made a resource pack before, but years ago I made my own custom texture pack that changed swords into lightsabers. It was literally just an edited image. Now with the new resource pack system, i've been following the tutorial in the Minecraft wiki, in an attempt to make a new resource pack with swords and some axes reskinned as lightsabers (and with sounds), but it does not show up in the resource pack menu when I load up the game.

Download link to the resource pack, in case someone could check to see what i'm doing wrong.
Never mind, I fixed the problem. Turns out the pack.mcmeta file had ".mcmeta" as the end part of the file name rather than as the file type, so it was a .txt file when it should've been an .mcmeta file.

By the way, I am trying to get it to work on the latest version, 1.11.2.
