Greetings, artists! I need your help. I made a mod called Doggy Talents, and the next release will include some new items that I need textures for.
They're called enderfangs. They're basically colored wolf-fangs dropped by a mob my mod will add, called the EnderWolf. It is a dangerously powerful breed of opponents with a wide variety of tricks up their sleeves, and the EnderFangs are your reward. They can be used with various effects on their own, but you can craft all 7 of them together with a bone to create the mighty ValmanWoof, an unbreakable sword with an affinity for dogs and a variety of beneficial effects.
So I need 8 textures, 7 of which would be recolors of the same thing:
1: EnderFangs in the following colors:
*Red
*Blue
*Yellow
*Green
*Purple
*Orange
*White
2: ValmanWoof, the ultimate blade of Dog Trainers (made from a bone handle and all 7 fangs).
Done now, it turned out decently. I colored them for you, and I left one normal colored fang too. They might not look like fangs though. :/
Big version (preview)
Small version (for usage)
...This may sound odd, but I feel like you did TOO good a job. Like, the coloring is over-detailed, doesn't look very minecraft-y. If you could make them a bit less well-shaded, a bit more glow-y, that would be great.
HOORAY 4 DOGGYTALENTS. i found a link to here on the doggytalents thread... anyways, i might just have a go at this, just because it seems so darn cool to add this stuff for the mod. (plus itll give me a first try at item texturing) ill try to make something cool :wink.gif:
EDIT: i have the general idea of what im going to make, but if you had to choose between black or white fangs on the EnderWolf (with the color in a glow around it), what would you choose?
(oop. accidental racism much...? :huh.gif: )
ANOTHEREDIT: im finding it harder than it looks to make anything, really... (well, derp. i made one skin, and an accidental pixelart drawing of a pokemon, why am i expecting myself to be pro at it?) mostly because i cant figure out how to get paint.net working. eh, by tomarrow ill have figured out some stupidly obvious answer to all my questions...
accidentally spam a topic im trying to help- check :dry.gif:
on the bright side, whatever was working when i made my other pixel "art" things seemed to kick in again, and i made this:
i got transparency working and everything, although it seems impossible to make it bigger for you to see it better. ill get working on that if/when i work on any other ones. the sword i kinda look forward to.
(if its truly bad enough so that you cant tell what it is, its a "rough draft" of sorts for the green one.)
ADD: ummm.... is anyone going to look here? :huh.gif:

Anybody interested?
16 bit. That's what vanilla textures are, right?
Thanks, lemme know how it turns out.

Well, here's my attempt at the fangs.
EPIC!
