So I'm looking for some good Minecraft mods that would fit in with vanilla Minecraft well. Mods that seem more like big updates to Minecraft, rather than adding in a whole new complex game-changing mechanic. I don't really have a personal taste when it comes with these kinds of mods, as long as they're not horribly textured or too heavy into tech or magic.
Some examples of these kinds of mods would be Minestrappolation 4
Better With Mods is a 1.10 port of Better Than Wolves, the mod adds a ton of stuff that fits great into vanilla, but the mechanical power system it adds might be considered game-changing, if you try it, make sure to disable the hardcore modes in the config.

Although simple tweaks or added items are fine too, does anyone have suggestions?
There are three kinds of people in this world, ones who pay attention and ones who don't.

You should also check the Better Than Wolves wiki if you're confused about anything the mod adds.
