WELL, deleted the first post on accident, sorry, i havent used MF since 2013 so im still getting used to it again. Anyway, im bored and wanted to get back into MC modding, havent done it in ages, im gonna be making what you guys request. Just comment below what you want in the mod and ill give it a go, some things that are excessively time consuming (More so than normal modding) will be stated as such, due to the fact im limited on time during college, I can make custom textures, so that isnt a worry, but having a ref would help. Im thinking maybe an end/ocean themed mod, just an expansion on under utilized things in minecraft, 1.13.2 has a horrendous code to work with, so im going to be relying on 1.12.2 and for laziness sake, im going to be making the basic blocks, such as ores and building blocks, with mcreator or some other mod maker just so i dont have to code, or copy paste a bunch of stuff, the armor, custom models, mobs, biomes, dimensions, guis, and all that will be custom made, so dont worry about poor mods, trust me, ive seen my fair share. So, comment away!
One I would want is a "brewing overhaul" mod, that adds new kinds of potions with new recipes and effects, as well as maybe some new mobs that give the potion ingredients. Like, what about a teleport potion made with a chorus fruit that makes you teleport to the nearest potted chorus flower(a new recipe that's basically a normal plant pot with end stone and a chorus fruit), or a fire potion that sets the mobs effected on fire, or even a potion sling that fires special sling potions further distances than a normal thrown potion, and, of course, making potions stackable(I don't know if that's possible but it would be amazing). If you need to in order to make modded potions and stuff, you could make a new kind of brewing stand for these with more ingredient slots and requiring something other than blaze powder as fuel. Maybe gold or iron nuggets? Since those really don't have many uses right now.
If you want something more simple, what would be good to help with the "under-utilized things" in Minecraft, would be some changes to caves in Minecraft. Right now, caves are worse than strip-mines for the sake of resources since they are risky and can get you easily lost. I think adding some new cool ores that can only spawn in caves(the way that could work is making them only spawn at a certain level and below and adjacent to an air block?), something like a titanium ore you could use to make some interesting tools and armors with unique benefits and downsides, maybe something like infinite durability but iron-level performance or something, and new biomes that exist only in caves, maybe something like a crystal cave with tons of different new gems used for making cool building blocks, like what about a gem that can be used to craft swimmable blocks that you don't drown in and have a higher speed in? Or, at the very least, making ores spawn more frequently and in larger veins in caves.
I don't know if this is too complex or what, but I think these are both cool and do-able ideas.
And if you want to mess with mob behavior relating to blocks, there's also the "mob blocks" idea, in which you could create blocks that basically enslave mobs to do certain tasks, with you having to capture the mobs in order to do so. Imagine like an enderman auto-mine that uses endermen to literally take specific blocks out of the world and place them around the block, or a skeleton defense system that uses skeletons to defend your base.
This one is a bit far-fetched and probably tricky, but if you want a challenge, I'd be so hyped to see it come to life.
Not sure if editing pre-existing code is doable through modding, but here's a link to my idea about making a more challenging mod for survival if you're still interested! You can just do the changes that are feasible in 1.12.2 and not have to worry about the 1.13 stuff if need be.

-Witches are neutral until provoked, as in 1.14 snapshots at time of writing. To ensure you can safely integrate them into your Village.
-Zombie Pigmen can be cured into living Pigmen, the same way Zombiei Villagers are (could be immersive to switch the G. Apple for a G. Carrot)
--Zombie Pigmen being neutral don't attack their living counterparts.
However Zombies and Zombie Villagers will attack and conversation them back to Zombie Pigmen.
-Pigmen also socialise with Villagers and Witches.
-Pigmen use rubies as currency and trade Balanced Nether related things.
-Pigmen and Witches have the new trade tier indicator badges.
-(Dye Witches hats so you don't mistake them for raid party members?)
-A new dimension, hear me out, that has removed features April Fools features, Story Mode features, 0mentioned features (no natural dirt slabs please)
The portal should , in my opinion, be made of the old Gold Block, I think this should be just normal Gold Blocks with redtone current applied. ''Pony", "Horse", Redstone bugs (but very rare), USB charger block, Education Edition blocks (but without infinite output), NPC, Agent (could '''arge at night on USB block and farm, chop wood or mine when given the right tool and chest(s) near charger.
-PIgmen live in Nether villages (1.13 Villages but with substituted Nether blocks, farming Netherwart, and a 50% chance of spawning in a pre-1.14 villages in the <New Dimension Name here >.
With the other 50% going to spawning Testificate Villagers with the ore-1.14
-Zombies and Zombie Villagers attack and convert Illagers and Witches (after all why would the undead only attack the good guys..?)

Cool! Cuz I actually have a ton of ideas.
