OK so everybody saw the starquest post on the front page a few days ago rite? if not pleez go check it out and visit the wiki.
So basically this mod will put in everything you see in the server, just without so many people. You will be able to play starquest on single player. there will still be NPCs flying around but they will not be able to talk with you.
In case you didn't read the wiki, or want to know more about how this mod is going to be here is a little summery I put together.
Starting off:
When you first start a new world, you go into the world settings and change it from regular to starquest. The world will generate and will spawn you inside the interstellar station. NPCs (villagers) will be around to help you along with collecting resources so you can build your first starship. You don't have to get licenses in the mod to build bigger ships.
NPCs:
there are two types, the villagers (colonist) and pirates (duh), these two npcs will have separate spawn eggs from the regular villagers although the colonists do the same thing along with driving. The two NPCs will have higher AI in order to drive the ships. they go at a slow speed so you can catch them but will not wait up for you unless your docking tube door crosses with theirs. (example: you fly along and a villager ship comes, you aline you docking tube with theirs and they will stop, if you miss turn around and try again) Villager ships will have no cannons but pirates do. They will also maneuver the ships around obstacles. Pirates will use every current cannon system that the server has. If you dock with the pirates they will come aboard and try to kill you. Villager ships usually carry more goods but pirates carry better goods.
Machines: Ok you are most likely thinking, but the cannons uses sponge blocks to power them! I know but they are used as machine blocks, so add a machine block. it is made with iron on all sides and redstone in the middle. The types of machines that will be used are the mining machines and the agricultural machines. Mining machines are just like the ones on the wiki page (go look at it) the agricultural machines are built with a machine block on the ground at each end with a chest next to it, then has a pole four blocks high on the machine blocks made with a fence, then has fences connecting each other. Then place a iron block below and connecting one of the fences. The machine will then turn on and the iron block will travel between the fences. once a crop is fully grown the iron block will pick it up, and take it to the end of the fence. It will then send it to the chest.
Planets:
There are two types of planets but many varieties to each planet. The first planet is the normal planet, similar to the ones on the server, when your ship hits it you will enter the world. The next planet is the micro planet, which is like a biome on a giant asteroid.
Ships:
ships are the same as the ones on the server but can have upgraded engines. engines are built with a redstone block, two machine blocks, and a ore block. The rarer the ore the faster the ship will go. Without the engine the ship will go one block per shift tap. With a coal block it will go two, and so on.
Structures:
Other than the interstellar station there are other space stations and villages and bases in the mod. colonists will have colonies which will have a new structure called the hanger. (pirate bases have these too) Pirates will have towers with turrets on top and both have space stations.

I will be making a Starquest mod but cannot do the ships. I will add more things than the server Starquest has because mods can do that.

When you post a mod: "No pics no clicks" and "MCreator = bad ~99% of the time"
Don't forget to read the crashlog before reporting the crash. It might tell you why it's crashing.
