Description: This was previously called "Real Smelting". Basically, it adds more realistic, multi block furnaces while disabling vanilla ones for smelting ores. It has different tiers of furnace walls, sizes, and similar with different results. There are also different blocks that can be added for controlling things internally. The furnace functionality is dependent apon all of the blocks combined and is dynamic.
Furnace "rules": This idea is not fully fleshed out, but here's an overview of the current plans:
The furnace is the average of all the blocks in it's values. This includes different upgrades. Some upgrades are manually done, others require power. There are different upgrades that do different things.
The speed of smelting is based off of "heat" primarily, although other things that really matter contribute as well. Larger furnaces take longer to heat up but cool off more slowly. Any metal can be tossed in at once, although it has a capacity. It does not smelt things individually when multiple things are tossed in. It smelts them all together creating alloys. Some alloys are powerful, others suck. The effects of the alloys also depend apon the smelted metals. Output metals also have their strengths change depending apon the heat, how they were processed and cooled, ect.
Metal will pour out of a chute. If you do not handle this properly, your base will burn down, even the dirt will be incinerated and your face will melt off. Oh, and there will be nuggets in the dirt. Take a guess on how it will be handled.
Different materials smelt differently. This means more heat, longer burn, ect. Each metal smelts best under different conditions, with minimum/maximum heats, ect.
We will try to dynamically handle ores loosely, but this will be imperfect (for detecting other mods's ores). For some mods we will preset stuff to make it better or work. We will also preset vanilla ores.
The liquid metal can also be purified and for good quality metal you should remove the sludge frequently. Purifying the metal reduces the amount (as bad stuff is removed) but the metal is much higher quality.

If you need block or item texture designs I'm your guy.
I have a forum for people just like you, who are making mods and need texture designs done for them
Just make an order on my forum page, the link is in my signature.
FYI: I can't join your team, I'm just alerting you to my service. You'll have to post an order like everyone else. I'm just letting you know I'm out there to help people like you out. That's what my service is for.
