As you might know, I've made a map called Portal Games, and it's been buggy, and the common problem is with weighted pressure plates. One part you have to pay 9 diamonds to get past the door by putting 9 diamonds on the pressure plate. I've tested it before and it worked. Later I made a copy of my own map and play through it, and not even a stack would open the door. And what I've seen is that it would do this weird thing: It would open the door when I put like, 12 diamonds on the plate and then it would close it. If it makes a difference, the last time I've tested the plate was back in 1.5. There's also another part in the map where you have to place a stack of golden nuggets on the plate and it would open a path with pistons. Ive put the whole stack and nothing happened at all. So what's happening here?

It's currently a bug with stacked items. If you use unstackable items, such as minecarts, you won't have this issue. I recommend upvoting the bug report to get it seen quicker: https://mojang.atlassian.net/browse/MC-29778

… Mojang looks like the worst company on fixing bugs.
Actually, Mojang marked this bug report as "Works as Intended" two years ago (i.e., it wasn't a bug). Weighted pressure plates measure the number of entities and an item stack is a single entity. From the wiki page:
An item stack counts as a single entity, no matter how many items are in the stack. When multiple items of the same type fall on a weighted pressure plate, they may initially be separate item entities and the weighted pressure plate will count them separately, but if they then collapse into a single item stack entity the signal strength from the weighted pressure plate may go down.

The bug seems like to be still here - or again here, since this thread is from late 2013. Mojang looks like the worst company on fixing bugs.
