So I have been playing in snapshot 18w08b for maybe a month or so now I believe and Minecraft has been super laggy. First I just thought it was because my computer was sucky, but then every time I'd load up a world it'd be okay for a minute and then it'd crash. It got to the point that I switched from that snapshot back to 1.12 and corrupted a world in the process(seriously, even the back up is screwed). So, I created a new world and I played in 1.12 for a bit because it doesn't give me any problems, but then I decided to give the snapshot another try and it has been nothing but issues for me. It's gotten to the point that I can't even load up my world because Minecraft crashes and won't let me play in it. I'm not going to go back to 1.12, either, because the last time I did that my world died, literally. I've looked up a few things, but nothing came up. Any advice? Thanks!
Snapshots are not meant to be used for normal gameplay and the launcher even warns you that they may have major bugs and corrupt your world if you use them, and the 1.13 snapshots have been particularly buggy due to all of the major code rewrites (this also includes changing the save format, which is why you cannot go back to an older version without completely corrupting the world; 1.13 snapshots aside, it is a bad idea to downgrade from any version as they do make various changes that are incompatible with older versions with every new release).
I'm aware of the possible corruption warning. I wanted to see if anyone else was having issues with the game as well. I guess I'll have to wait for the actual release of 1.13 to play the game because of the crashing. Which sucks, but at least next time I won't use snapshots. Thanks for the comment.

TheMasterCaver's First World - possibly the most caved-out world in Minecraft history - includes world download.
TheMasterCaver's World - my own version of Minecraft largely based on my views of how the game should have evolved since 1.6.4.
Why do I still play in 1.6.4?
