Hey everyone. Some friends and I have gotten really into Minecraft lately, and decided that we would like to put a server together. We're looking for a good server host at an acceptable price for us, that's professional and trusted by the community. We would need to option to possibly upgrade our service in the future, depending on the interest others show in the server, and ask for access to the server files so we could install mods and change the server as required.
I was looking at servercraft, but I don't see much activity on their forums to show that they have a substantial community standing. What would you guys suggest?

We're in the range of $15 to $30, preferably on the lower side. Slots would be somewhere between 6 and 15, maybe more as time goes on. And most, if not all, players will be in the US, East Coast.
