So basically I am a seventh grader and I need to take the ACT. If you aren't aware, the ACT is a college level entry test, and I need to take it for an academic camp that I was referred to. (You had to get into the Ninety Five percentile on the state standardized test) I have absolutely no experince with tests this size and I m basically just asking for help. To get into the camp you have to get an 18.


Any tips would be great

Study study study.

An 18 is a pretty low score, though you are fairly young. I got a 28 on mine, though I didn't do anything special. I believe there are books available that you can purchase that can help you improve your score. Maybe one of those could help you.

College entry level? Well, I think we all know what to do...

Throw a massive party! Then go out to the women's frat houses and spy on them from the bushes. Extra points if you can pull it off like in Animal House.

Explorer (2 years now) 7th&8th not a real test
PLAN 9th I think
*skip* 10th
ACT's 11th
SAT's 12th.

Congrats on being smart. And I'm a bit confused because I know that the ACT isn't an IQ test, but a test that is related to what you've learned in prior high school courses. So wouldn't an ACT be useless?

That's Duke TIP for ya. I have my entry ticket, but I sure am not studying for it.

Study Algebra I and II along with geometry. Scientific terms. Analyzing stories. Grammar. Then you should be fine.

Drink a lot of red bull, Study hard, Don't sleep you'll be fine.

I took the ACT in 7th grade, about 75% of the stuff you haven't learned yet if you didn't skip any classes, just try to use common sense and figure it out. I really depends on the subject though; I did just fine on the English portions because it was just reading and answering questions, but for math you may want to ask for help from somebody in a higher math class.

Hey guys, I got my ACT scores back, and I got a 21. I did a little research and it turns out that that is the average high school score, and i Am quite proud of myself, I didn't actually study a whole bunch ( started about a week before the test happened) And I want to thank all the help I got! especially with khan academy! it was a lifesaver.
