Prompt - Do you agree with king's belief regarding why people crave horror?
Limitations - Can't use "I" statements, assume there are two reasons.
My Current Thesis - In an article called "Why we Crave Horror Movies", King explains why people flock to watch terror films, which he writes two legitimate reasons.
My English teacher said to list your sub topics or what your going to be saying tin the essay. The first part is good, and then maybe add what your going to be talking about in the second part? I'm not sure if you agree, but you could try.
You can think of a thesis paper like a math formula. The paper would have five paragraphs, with the first as an opening containing your thesis statement. For your thesis, I would suggest something like, "People crave horror moves because of (Reason A), (Reason B , and (Reason C.) (I'm assuming that's what you are writing about, but if it's not, just adjust to your theme.) Then you create three paragraphs, the first with supporting evidence for Reason A, the second with supporting evidence for Reason B, and the third with supporting evidence for Reason C. The last paragraph would just summarize your paper.

According to King's article, "Why we Crave Horror Movies", there are two main reasons why people are drawn to horror films. Firstly, King argues that people have an inherent need to experience fear in a controlled environment. By watching a horror movie, individuals are able to experience fear in a safe and secure setting, where they can confront and overcome their fears. This allows people to face their fears and feel a sense of empowerment, leading to a feeling of catharsis.
Secondly, King believes that people are naturally drawn to the darker side of life and are fascinated by the unknown and mysterious. Horror movies allow people to explore the darker aspects of human nature and to experience fear and tension in a safe and controlled environment. By indulging in this dark side, people are able to satisfy their curiosity and explore the depths of human emotion, without actually being in danger.
This feels like copying many existing essays (or chatbots now) word for word. Personally I would put very short versions of the reasons in the first sentence, to make it sound less robotic.

I love Stephen King's books, they are beautiful. I don't like watching horror movies, but his books are something...
