Except it's not a matter of 'deal with it'. You're misconstruing a whole group of people that you are not a part of by claiming to know how they think and their reasoning for their actions. Excuse me if I wish to express great exasperation that someone would do such a thing and see no issue with it.
I gave my opinion about a group of people that i do not like. I do not have to like every single kind of person out there, some people i dislike, some people i like, and some people i just find odd. I see no issue with disliking certain people.
Odd that you can act on generalizations and anecdotes yet you demanded from me evidence and facts.
Platitudes do not excuse you from your past actions.
I am just explaining myself because you do not seem to understand what i am saying. I have to tell you the meaning behind my words for you to understand that i mean no harm. I just simply don't like group of people, for whatever reason it may be. Because i do not like a group, people who are part of that group, support that group, or do not like my reason for disliking that group will generally think i am being offensive. I might be offensive, yes it is okay to think that, sometimes i am offensive and i didn't even know it. And what past actions? I said my opinion and you people took it too far, saying i was demanding something to be done, making me look like a dictator. I could care less about what others do, but when asked why they do it, i will have an opinion.
That is such an absurd, offensive stereotype to forward. It's so incredibly bigoted and closed-minded. You don't need to express your hatred against male-kind in all the opinions you make, you know.
Express my hatred against male-kind? There you go taking things too far again! When did i say that i hated male-kind? I'll save you the trouble, i never did. We are talking about a specific group of males that use a female avatar, not all of male-kind.
There's that persecution complex again. No, I do not hate you, I simply find it absurd that you can believe in such an incredibly offensive, close-minded stereotype and yet see no issue with it.
Again, did i ever say that you hated me? No, i said that you simply do not like me, don't make my comment sound worse than it actually was. I see no issue with disliking certain people. No matter what the reason for a male to have a female avatar, i will always find them odd. Does not mean i cant ever be friends with that kind of person, doesn't make that person bad. I don't like every aspect of all of my friends, and i don't hate every aspect of all of my enemies. I could have a great male friend that uses a female avatar and still think that they are odd for doing that but nevertheless think that they are a great person. I don't instantly hate a male that uses a female avatar, but i will instantly find them to be odd.
By the way, i'm sorry i didn't mention this earlier, but i am very hardheaded, although you may have already realized this. If you are for some reason attempting to get me to accept that group of men that use female avatars, well, it wont work. I will always find that person odd, no matter what the reason for their choosing of that avatar may be. And again, to avoid any other confusion, no i do not hate people that use an avatar that is opposite to their gender, i just find them odd, ok?
@War Crow: Do you believe ALL straight men who use anime girls as their avatars are perverted?
No, some are in fact, not perverted at all. I would never say that ALL people from a group are the same, different people have different motives for doing things.
I gave my opinion about a group of people that i do not like. I do not have to like every single kind of person out there, some people i dislike, some people i like, and some people i just find odd. I see no issue with disliking certain people.
The issue is not that you dislike them, the issue is that you use idiotic, arrogant reasoning to justify your dislike.

Well, thanks for the arrogant question dodge. I guess one day you'll provide what you asked of me.
Express my hatred against male-kind? There you go taking things too far again! When did i say that i hated male-kind? I'll save you the trouble, i never did. We are talking about a specific group of males that use a female avatar, not all of male-kind.
You're right, I did misread a part. Instead of saying the majority of males are perverted, you say the majority of males that do something you dislike are perverted, my bad.
I said the majority, not the whole, i also said etc. I assume that most males that use a female avatar are perverted and have chosen their female avatars for perverted reasons, but not all of them. Just because i think that a specific male is perverted for representing themselves as a female doesn't necessarily mean i am right, doesn't mean i am wrong either. That man could be the least perverted person on earth, but in my mind that man will be perverted until they prove to me otherwise. Also, just because i believe that person to be perverted doesn't mean i am going to make fun of them or be mean to them , some people might, but i wont, i just think it is odd.
Again, did i ever say that you hated me? No, i said that you simply do not like me, don't make my comment sound worse than it actually was. I see no issue with disliking certain people. Why do you not like me? I don't know. Maybe because you think i am trying to oppress people, to tell people to not do something, just because i think it is wrong, or that all that i believe is right should be law? Maybe, you are just an angry little man? I don't know, i cant say for sure, and honestly, i don't care. This is about what i said, why you think it is wrong, and me having to explain myself.
By the way, i'm sorry i didn't mention this earlier, but i am very hardheaded, although you may have already realized this. Remember when you said to point out a situation where you did not understand what others were saying? Well, here's one.
The big issue is not that you dislike the group, but the idiotic, arrogant reasoning you use to dislike them. Your assumption that you can guess what others are thinking. It almost seems like self-insertion.
No, some are in fact, not perverted at all. I would never say that ALL people from a group are the same, different people have different motives for doing things.
...The next logical step is that your preconceived determinations of perverted vs. not, are also personal delineations. Like many personal distinctions, their basis might not be so sturdy as it seems.
So doesn't what you've just said strip the concept of sexuality from needing to universally play a part in avatar selection? That also means sex and "identity" might not be reflected in an avatar in the way you immediately come to expect, or believe it "should be". Because "is" and "should" are not the same thing, and the entire concept of should is abstract and non-material, personal at the absolute most. This is essentially what people have been trying to get across.
You're right, I did misread a part. Instead of saying the majority of males are perverted, you say the majority of males that do something you dislike are perverted, my bad.
Wrong again, i said that the majority of males that use a female avatar are perverted. Some are not perverted. And, whether they are perverted or not i will find them odd, for whatever their reason for choosing a female avatar was.
Remember when you said to point out a situation where you did not understand what others were saying? Well, here's one.

I never said that i could guess what others are thinking. I understand that people have different reasons for doing things. It is impossible to tell why each and every man that chooses a female avatar does so, there are way too many reasons because everyone is different. I don't even hate men that choose a female avatar, just because i find it odd does not mean i hate it.

There are many reasons why people do things, but some things, for whatever reason a person might have for doing it, i will just find it odd, or strange. Some people are completely fine with the idea of a male using a female avatar, that's cool, you do your thing, don't let my dislike of it stop you from being you. In my opinion you 'should' represent yourself with an avatar of your gender, but that doesn't have to be fact, that doesn't have to happen, nor will i even attempt to make it a reality. my opinion on a topic, whatever it may be, is for me, whether i choose to share it or not. You can agree with me or you can be against me, for whatever reason.

Again, it isn't a matter of "us vs them" "you vs me". In funneling everything to that, you inadvertently strip away the individual aspects of any given person. Missing sight of the specifics, gives you a slated view of the greater whole. Ironically dehumanizing in a sense.
You're also heavily depersonalizing and detaching yourself from your own place in things. What the effect of harboring such baseless, and needlessly negative opinions of other people creates. Some opinions that could actually be outright incorrect about any given group or person, but you willingly choose nonetheless. That affects you as well. It's presumptuous, but the effect on, and basis in, yourself is something I don't feel like you're taking into account.
Why is your concept of "should" the right one. For yourself, for anyone else. Think a bit more about that.

It became an 'us vs them' or a 'you vs me' as you call it when i decided to post my opinion and you people decided to tell me i was wrong and that i was a bad person and demonizing people and dehumanizing people and ordering people to do things and oppressing others. I am not evil, i am just attempting to protect myself and my words from you people. My reasoning for things might not be correct to you, but they might be correct to me. I'm not going to think positively about everyone, some people i will just generally have a negative outlook on. I understand that opinions can be incorrect. I think that the majority of males that use female avatars are perverted, does not make me right, does not mean that they all are. When i first see a male using a female avatar they strike me as odd and, yes, perverted, but what i am trying to say is that it is not true for all males that represent themselves as such. My concept of 'should' is the right one for me because in my mind that is the correct thing to do. I do not say that others are incorrect in what they do just because i do not think it is ok, it is incorrect to me, but obviously not to them, and i respect that.
Thankfully, my avatar does not represent me. I would suggest that many do it because they are a fan of the character and/or appreciate the art of Manga. Not everyone who has a picture of an Anime girl, and let's face it; Anime girls are the most common found on the net, has a fetish for cartoons.

SDM and Squid Army fanboys/girls. You're as ridiculous as each other. Gold=Butter=Gold. Why do you harp on about something as trivial as what people call it?
@Warcrow: One thing you've failed to understand is that you're generalizing/stereotyping a group of people and... insulting them. You obviously don't think EVERY anime girl user is perverted. A ton of straight guys are using anime girls on the minecraft forum. Who is safe? What are the exceptions? It's been two pages and these people have just been toying with you about this.
It became an 'us vs them' or a 'you vs me' as you call it when i decided to post my opinion and you people decided to tell me i was wrong and that i was a bad person and demonizing people and dehumanizing people and ordering people to do things and oppressing others. That's your persecution complex talking. And also your insistence on some separation from the general public.
I am trying to be as least offensive to people as possible. I do not believe that every male that uses a female as their avatar is perverted, i do think that it is odd. Also, it all depends on the female avatar that they use. If it is a revealing avatar, such as an female with very little clothes on or in a sexual pose, then yes, i will think that they are perverted, but in a case it is a regular female in normal clothes, not being too revealing or in a sexual pose, then i probably wont think that they are perverted. For example, danthonywalker is using Annie, a female character from league of legends, because Annie is well covered up, and not in a sexual pose he does not strike me as perverted. Same with Doctapper, his avatar is of a female anime girl, but she is wearing normal clothes and in a normal position, so i would not consider him perverted. It's also not just about physical appearances, it also has to do with the personality of the character. If a man uses a female avatar that has a greedy, perverted, or stuck-up personality then i will also not think too highly of them, but if the character is kind, mature, and loving then i will not think badly of you, even if it is a male using a female character.
It does kind of get me confused at first, looking for a pretty girl of whom likes anime, then finding a male...but that's okay. If they like it, its fine, even if it is a little confusing and weird to have a very girly female character. But now that I think of it, if they like it as their avatar..why not? Now you've got me thinking about what gender my avatar represents. .__.
Because they can do what ever they please. I wont stop someone from having a girl as their avatar if they are a guy, because it would be denying them a freedom that would make me look like a total jerk.
Now if it was an avatar depicting nudity, or just "stupidly suggestive/attractive," I would have to question that person's state of mind when picking said avatar. Though I pick suggestive avatars for laughs sometimes.

If all of us give a little bit of something to a good cause, we can help to make that cause happen.
But I bet it is all just for attention or to stamp an image that drew the attention lately. If I were to put such an image, I would put Misa-chan.
That's a good idea actually.
