You should do the same thing and present youself as a male then and not using a avatar that does not specify your gender,
Because right now you are not presenting yourself as a Man. You are presenting yourself as a.... flag(?).
With all utter respect. That's more weird than presenting oneself as opposite gender.
Despite that fact that rule number 1 in the internet is that an Forum avatar is generally not related to the account.
If we want to become that picky then you need to set a rule that everyone uses his/her real life face as avatar.
Because declaring someone elses face as one owns be it a male or female avatar is nto just weird, its not legal. Just saying. No matter if real or drawn face.
"Really though, it shows the mindset of a Dwarf Fortress player that when running for you life from a 30-foot tall animate bronze colossus, your first reaction to a horde of fluffy bunnies is to grab some and throw them at it." - DF player
Never new there was a gender called "T".
Interesting.
What if one is a hermaphrodite?
There are some cultures and tribes that have a "third sex" designation for hermaphrodites and trans people. It is debatable as to whether this is more civilized than the West's assimilation approach.
It is weird and odd to me that a gender can find physically or romantically attractive one of the same gender. I would even go so far as to say it's incredibly weird. But that does not mean I wish to prevent, limit or moderate in any way, shape or form those people's ability to choose who or what they find attractive, nor how they act out their attraction.
Though I guess being racist against people's avatars is cool. 'least it's not their skin.
That's cool, I think it is completely fine for people of the same gender to be with each other, yet you don't. I find it odd that people represent themselves with an avatar of the opposite gender, yet you think its fine. We are different, we think differently, we have different motives, we have different believes. But see, here is where we are the same. As i have stated numerous times, i do not wish to moderate, control, force, prevent, or limit what people do, you feel the same way. I understand that people choose female avatars for many reasons, i do not say that because it is not attractive to me it is wrong, it is wrong to me, but obviously not to others. If others want to represent themselves as such, then fine, so be it, but i will not like it. Does it matter that i wont like it? No, it doesn't, it only matters to me. There are just certain people, or groups of people, in this world that you just generally wont like, or get along with. You cant get along with everyone, you cant be okay with everything, there are just some things that you will be against, and then there are those that back that idea that you just cant seem to be okay with. I respect your ideas, even if i am not okay with them, but obviously do do not respect mine.

You completely and utterly misunderstood what I was saying if you think I'm against people of other genders being in a relationship.
With such a large, stupid misunderstanding going on, I don't think I can possibly continue any kind of discourse with you.
Ehm... In my opinion guys that have girl avatars, are forever alone. Its like your playing gta as girl when your a boy
Instead of being so roused up about men with female anime avatars, maybe you should plan on finding an avatar, before you interject into a conversation.
Don't like it when I make fun of you, do you?
So they like the anime, not like i'm going to approach, lets see... AHH! Govna and say, "dude why would you have such a weird pic?" it matches him, and what he likes, obviously.
Learn to not care. It's really actually none of your business why a male has a female avatar.
Ehm... In my opinion guys that have girl avatars, are forever alone. Its like your playing gta as girl when your a boy
Meh, being forever alone is quite good in a lot of sense. More money, all possessions belong to me, and less time needed to fill the others emotional needs, and yes, I would know these things.
I think that a person chooses the avatar that best matches their interests, guys who like anime and like a female character are likely to set that as their avatar. In my case, I just really, really , really like The Legend of Zelda, so I became Link.

Forever protecting Hyrule with the power of the Master Sword!
Avatars are how you represent yourself on the 'net, so if they like anime characters and their fave happens to be a girl, that is the representation of them.
You should do the same thing and present youself as a male then and not using a avatar that does not specify your gender,
The difference is that I don't care if someone calls me a female. I understand my avatar does not indicate a gender and won't be offended if people don't know I put my actual gender on my profile.
Also, this isn't what I meant. I clearly meant that "If you want to be considered a guy [you should] stop presenting yourself as a girl.", not that 'If you want to considered a guy, you have to present yourself as a guy'.
Because right now you are not presenting yourself as a Man. You are presenting yourself as a.... flag(?).
The only people who think I am a flag have severe mental deficiencies.

Who said presenting yourself as the opposite gender was weird? I'm sure some people would be offended by that.

And here I thought the first rule was "Don't talk about backslash bee".
If we want to become that picky then you need to set a rule that everyone uses his/her real life face as avatar.
No, just don't correct me when I call you a girl if you use a girl avatar.

I have no idea what this is suppose to mean. Something about illegal faces?
Never new there was a gender called "T".
Interesting.
Nobody ever said there was a "T" gender... Where did you get that?
You... you do realize that "T"s can't have genders, right?
Right?
See, to have a gender, you must be able to think and categorize. "T"s are imaginary glyphs invented to represent the voiceless alveolar stop in Latin-based alphabets.
Also, this isn't what I meant. I clearly meant that "If you want to be considered a guy [you should] stop presenting yourself as a girl.", not that 'If you want to considered a guy, you have to present yourself as a guy'.
When I see anime females or MLP, I do tend to assume the user is a female. However, when I choose avatars, I choose something that I want to look at that I feel also represents me in some way, and it would be unlikely that I would choose a female or MLP as an avatar, even though I am a girl. Although I am feminine in some ways, presenting myself on the internet in that manner doesn't appeal to me.
Figured that much. I can see the confusion of whether to specify your physical or "mental" gender, if that happens to be the case. Or if you're just unsure of your "mental" gender.
EDIT: I can't help but feel that I formulated myself the wrong way.
Yeah. I mean, if you state your gender identity, you may feel dishonest if it is at odds with your anatomy. However, stating your physical sex ends up in you getting treated as what you aren't, which isn't very fun... and it, too, is deceptive - in a different way. Furthermore, it puts your identity in a place inferior to your body, which isn't usually considered proper in an individualistic world.
So, it can be a challenge. To me, the answer is as clear as daylight - put down how you feel between your ears, rather than how you feel between your legs. Especially on the interwebs.
Personally, let guys do what they want. Sometimes they just like Anime women and decide to have them as they're avatars. You can't judge people just because they have a girl Anime avatar. That's like having a picture of a Horse as your avatar and everyone's like "HOLY SHEET. YOurr a BOYE. WHAI HAVE A HORSEHHHH!?!?!?! ASNAKJDBAJDHAKDOMGOMGOMGOGMOGMOGMOGMGOMGOM"
So yes. Let them do what they want. No skin off my back.

That's fine, I also don't think i can continue having any kind of 'discourse' with you. Considering that you were one of the people that started the 'discourse' with me it seems fitting that you end it. And as for the 'misunderstanding', well, there was a 'misunderstanding' from the beginning when you and some others here on this thread misunderstood my first post.
they just found it weird and odd, I find it weird and odd also. In fact it would be weird and odd for a heterosexual to not find it weird and odd because it's so far removed from their own experiences, luckily such a thing as empathy exists. It's not a lack of respect, discrimination or anything like that, it's just not how our perspectives have been shaped, but we realize that and don't feel the need to oppress others because of it.
It's different basically, therefore not normal to us but that doesn't mean it's wrong or anything. Just different.
That's fine, in fact, this is basically what i said on my first post on the thread about guys that use anime girl avatars, yet they got all defensive about it. I just stated my opinion and they misunderstood it. They took my opinion too literally and thought that i was 'demonizing' people, or 'enforcing' my will on people. they basically thought that i was demanding that every male that used a female avatar change it to a male avatar, when in reality i was just stating my opinion. Go to Pg 6 and read it if you want.

Sometimes this is because they are unsure of what gender they are.
Typically, this would be mentally.
It is a much rarer occurrence for a person to be unsure of their anatomical sex. Genitalia are not usually ambiguous in adults.
Yeah. I mean, if you state your gender identity, you may feel dishonest if it is at odds with your anatomy. Because pronouns are gender specific...
Nobody ever said it was...
Nobody said they should be...
Why would I be unsure if they have a girl in their avatar? In a normal situation, that'd be a dead give-away.
