I recently bought a giant bag of red jelly beans which I thought were cherry (my favourite flavour), but turned out to be cinnamon! I ate a giant handful at once and the there is a galactic, despairing sensation of terror and ultimate treachery happening in my mouth!!
Quickly, eat the black liquorice one! It will cancel out the effects, but just to be sure, lick a Big Red gum wrapper and stick it on your forehead, it will burn but it will stop the effects of the cinnamon jelly bean.
Yes, if you're stupid, but then again you'd have to be pretty stupid to do it in the first place wouldn't you?
It's not because the amount of ingested cinnamon is dangerous to your health, it's because a lot of idiots cough and then inhale the powder. Pretty much anything other than plain old oxygen is going to be harmful to your lungs, the air in a big city (like I live in) is so rife with pollutants that it's also caustic for your lungs and packed with yummy carcinogens; mmm lung cancer, it is delicious. Huff some baby powder and you'd be in for a world of hurt. So it's not the cinnamon itself that does it, it's inhaling it, and there is a proper way to do it which doesn't involve inhaling tree bark.
