Hello,this is Devil
Somebody said me that break-up is only sad,not depressed -- I highly disagree with it,in my opinion,it's depressing as hell -- May I know your votes?
Edit : Please don't post something like 'depends' etc.

I broke up with my first girlfriend (and now my first ex) half a year ago. Why? We were both still studying, we lived very far from each other and I just didn't want it anymore. We've been together for at least five months which I know is not a long time. But we did spend good times, so what I can say is that it's both. It's sad because you're obviously gone from the person you "loved" and depressing that it HAS to happen, kind of like a point where you question everything in this world "why am I alive?" "what's our purpose?" And you're stuck with the only decision of being alone and dreary. So I believe there should be a "both" option, on the poll

Well aside from nipples,I accept your answer -- Both voting-options allowed from now *feels like king cause I can edit my topics*
I wouldn't know, but I'm not gonna go depressed over a single guy that broke up with me..
I know, a bit of people end up getting married to their "high-school sweetheart", but the majority of bf/gf circumstances before college don't result in anything serious. Or, at least it sounds.
HA, losers! Why would you ever wanna spend time with a woman, their skin is like sandpaper! At least, that's what I've heard from my brother, I've never touched a woman before.
The act of the breakup is sad, and can lead to depression depending on how serious the relationship was. I'm guessing its very often depressing in the mood sense and on occasion in particularly bad breakups can lead to the mental illness that is depression. They're two different things really:
So yeah, a both option would be probably most accurate. Life events are a major cause of depression and probably relationship issues would be second only to bereavement in causing it.

I'd say it's pretty depressing. Though I wouldn't really know, I'm still with my first girlfriend, our six month anniversary was just yesterday and I honestly don't plan to ever break up with her.
You can't simply generalize it because every break up is quite different as all the circumstances will be different. It depends on the person, the situation, the length of time been together, the nature of the break up, so many factors. Most of the time it's considered somewhere between sad and depressing but sometimes a break up is met with neutral feelings, or even happiness/calamity of mind. Every situation is different.

Depends on who and how.
