We've all gotten sick before and I'm just a little curious, what's the worst illness you've ever had?
For me, I'm not so sure. I might have to go with the time I got food poisoning around two years old or so. From what little I remember, I had to be emitted into the hospital because of it, and it's the sole cause of my fear of trying new foods.
I once came down with the flue and had everything from aggravatingly sore mussels, to head-aches, and the cough and runny nose. My Mom didn't believe me and sent me off to school anyways. I don't know how I lived.
And more recently I've gone with food and water enough I've actually collapsed in the living room.
I had pretty severe Pneumonia when I was about 7. Had weekly x-rays for about a month and a half and was completely immobile for a good week for that time. I went to hospital 2 times during that period for going into shock from the pain. 'Twas pretty bad.
If you include injuries, I had pneumothorax 10 months ago. My left lung collapsed, so i had to take surgery. Hospitalized for 4 days attached tube to pump out air. That morning was practicing for mile run. It was painful to run.
I had recurring tonsillitis (streptococcus-based) for a handful of consecutive years until my tonsils were eventually cut out at 17.

The "sickest" was probably a recent flu I had which lasted a good week. That was unusual because I rarely get sick and when I do I recover quickly. But that flu had me bedridden for several days straight.
But I'd say the scariest illness I've ever had was bronchitis when I was a kid. Nothing has scared me more than when I woke up in the middle of the night and couldn't breathe. I couldn't call out for my parents. I had to run (without breathing) into my parents room and wake them up physically because I couldn't yell or scream.
I had asthma when I was little, still do to a certain degree, and the first time I had to run a mile in elementary school I was coughing up blood. Isn't exactly being sick, but still, worst that's ever happened to me.

Ah, yes, asthma... If it weren't for asthma, I'd probably be one of the fastest runners in my school. But instead I can barely run for ten seconds at half speed without becoming overly exhausted. Last time I tried full speed I nearly threw up on the spot. Thankfully, I don't get asthma attacks, therefore have never had to use an inhaler. Though a lot of people seem to think you can't have asthma without asthma attacks, so it's difficult to get people to believe I have asthma. Which is why I almost never mention it.
MAN it has been a long time since I posted in the general off topic...
ON TOPIC:
I don't know if this really counts... but I once had a chronic migraine for a week straight. I ended up getting a spinal tap because of it, and now I have some minor back pains every once in a while. Other than that... I'd have to say when I got a bad case of the flu that lasted for about 5-6 days. It was absolutely AWFUL.
One time, I had appendicitis and then my appendix blew up. I lost my appetite, kept throwing up, stuff like that. By the time I went to the ER, they said I was probably gonna die if I waited another day.
Then I got my appendix out, they cleaned up some stuff down there, and I had to practice walking (which hurt extremely badly.) Strangely enough, I enjoyed being in the hospital. It was, for the most part, really peaceful.
I had tonsillitis when I was 6, and I had to be brought to the hospital to get my tonsils taken out. They operated and everything seemed fine until about a week later I started coughing up blood. My parents took me back to the hospital, and I don't remember what happened that time, but they said it should be fine after that. But it wasn't and about a week or so later (I don't really remember the time frame) I started coughing up blood again, about 2 liters of it. I nearly died due to that. The third time they operated, it was fine.
I've felt too weird after using the computer when I went to bed, and as a result I felt dizzy at nighttime. I slept and I dreamt about me saving the prom through galactal acts. When I woke up, I got fever. Really fatal. Luckily I got my medicine and then I was able to cure myself in 4 days! I was absent from school due to that.
During the whole H1N1 event, I had a fairly severe flu. My immune system usually obliterates anything it's assaulted with within 2 days or so, but this had me sick for weeks. Barely able to claim I was fully functional. Was quite unpleasant.
Must have been regular influenza though, as I never received treatment, and I'm still alive. In the case of H1N1, the chances of this are fairly low.
Other than that. Chronic migraine, and food allergies. I've never had to push myself so hard to get anything done.
I remember I kept throwing up when was 5... I stayed in hospital in this cozy cot.
The other one is that I remember 2 years ago I had fever. I was dizzy and I also had a cold. Aaand an ear infection.
The worst thing I've ever had was pneumonia, in both lungs. I had to stay at a hospital for 4 days, I was constantly hacking up yellow stuff from my lungs. I was also had to put on a mask that gave me pure oxygen when I first showed up. Every time I breathed You would hear crackling. It was awful, I don't want to have pneumonia ever again.
If you get sick, don't lay in bed all day, it can cause you to get pneumonia, walk around a little, If you have to lay down, lay in a slightly sitting position.

When I was in kindergarten I went to chuck e. cheeses... Then spent an entire year with strep.
That is why I am afraid of mice.
Another time, not as major, was when I was 8-ish and I had to get craploads of shots for sme reason. On the way home I stopped at a Subway and had a meatball sub.
The meatballs were uncorks, the cheese had mold, and the bread was stale.
Stupid 8 yo me ate it anyway.
