I think its kind of sad some people are criticizing eachother for what they eat. I'm a vegetarian. Does meat taste good? You bet it does. Do I like the thought of eating slaughtered and possibly tortured animals? No, not for me personally. Do I think you're wrong if you choose to eat meat? No, I don't. For me personally, the only good reason I could come up with for why I was eating meat was because it tastes great. That just isn't a good enough reason for me to eat animals that have suffered just so I can indulge myself in food that I don't need. There are other ways of getting proteins and iron, so I just choose not to eat meat. All of the rest of my family are avid eaters of meat, and I don't have a problem with that. You eat what you want to, and I'll choose what I do and do not want to eat. I've been a vegetarian for about a year now, and I honestly think this is the healthiest I've ever felt, but that's because my reasons for going vegetarian were both because I didn't want to eat animals, and because I wanted to be healthier. Vegetarians can be EXTREMELY unhealthy, because a lot of times they still eat lots of junk food and sweets, and just don't eat meat. My fiber intake is great now, and I don't feel so sickly full after every meal though. I won't lie and try to say that I don't miss the taste of meat though!
What the vegetarions don't realize is, while the animals are being raised and killed to be eaten, us non-vegetarions are eating the animals, therefore giving them a meaning in... death. The vegetarions, they don't eat the animals, so they're actually causing more animals to be pointlessly raised and killed, by not eating the meat we killed them for.
Nope. The less people buying meat the lower demand. If there is lower demand there will be lower supply meaning less animals killed.
My brother is pretty much vegan, mainly because of pesticides, GMOs and all that stuff.
I'm not though. I kinda eat paleo, but with some exceptions. (Mainly meat, veggies, fruits, nuts and seeds, seafood and diary (you're not supposed to eat diary on paleo, but I do for calcium) and no grains).
I'm also on the paleo lifestyle /brofist thats actually how I got my server name...
I eat almost* everything.
*I absolutely DESPISE animal fat and skin.
Well, I want to become vegetarian, but it is very hard for me to do so. I want to get off of meat 100%, this includes milk and eggs, but almost everything I eat and drink is meat or dairy... I've been slowly switching to vegetarian. First I'm going to do meat, then foods with dairy, and then I'm switching to water. I don't know if I can easily stop eating chocolate though... >.<
I want to be vegetarian because of things I have seen. The more I see, the more guilty I get. Plus, my boyfriend went vegetarian to. It was easier for him, not so much for me.
My parents haven't noticed yet, but I don't think there going to be very happy when they do. I'm already underweight and loosing more weight would not be very good... I'm also one of the very few people who want to gain weight and not loose.
So yeah, my reason being videos and things about how animals like pigs, chickens, and cows are treated every single day before and while they are being killed...
If I had to kill a pig each time I ate pork I might be more open to being a vegeterian. I think if you're vegterian it's trickier to find a good sauce of protein, though I guess some vegeterians still eat fish. I'd be fine with killing and eating fish probably because they seem less intelligent than a pig and aren't as related to me.
