Hi there everyone.
I was wondering about this, and I didn't see any other topic about this, so, here we go. images courtesy of razerzone.com
1. Palm Grip
With the palm grip, you rest your entire hand on the mouse, pressing the buttons with your whole finger.
2. Claw Grip
With the claw grip, you rest your palm on the mouse, however, instead of clicking the buttons with your whole finger, you press them with your fingertips.
3. Fingertip Grip
With the fingertip grip, you hold the entire mouse with your fingertips, either resting your palm on the desk/table, or holding your palm above the mouse.
this is the grip I use
There you have it! If you use your mouse in a way not shown here, please feel free to post how you use a mouse.
I guess I technically use the fingertip grip, although my fingers usually hover over the buttons rather than rest on them, it also changes between palm and fingertip depending on how far up/down I last moved the mouse.
It's sort of a mix of claw and fingertip. Because my hand is so lazy it usually rests on the side of the mouse and when I track I'm sorta dragging my hand along.
Fingertip/claw grip. But I drag my whole hand around, which has formed a little callus at the bottom of my palm/bottom of hand(?).
