I'd also like to add that I'm actually scared of what will happen on the 21st- "WORLD'S GONNA END ANYWAYS" looters will probably hit some people.
I feel more pity for the people with stupid relatives. My mother wants to have dinner with me on the 19th because "you never know". Crap like this reminds me of why I want to move very far away and change my name and telephone number.
A whole day they didn't count, after a few thousand years it'll add up.
I don't think you understand what I mean. It's like comparing apples and oranges. They never missed counting a day because they did not have specific dates with this method. They simply counted forward or backward with the Long Count from the present date (at the time). I don't see how you think they missed counting a day when it is simply just a reference point. One named day in the Maya calendar could fall on a different Gregorian calendar day the following year. Their dates are not static like ours.
Nostradamus Said: "From the calm morning, the end will come, when of the dancing horse the number of circles will be 9" I think he is talking about Oppa Gandam style, not about the horse , but about what everyone is saying everywhere. Check out the views of the video. Certainly it will get 1000000000(nine circles) tomorrow. BUUUUT he failed one "prediction of end of the world", so he will fail again because maybe, JUST MAYBE, It will just be deleted somehow from youtube when it get 1000000000 views. Remembering that Nostradamus write his predictions in a form that no one could know what he was talking about, so "the end will come", could be "end of the dancing horse" or "end of South Korea (Calm Morning)". I still don't believe in end of the world, but Nostradamus was right in 99% of his predictions, sooo...yeah.
The world will not end, and if he does, who cares? Everyone will die anyway so no one can protest against it when it happens.
Fun Fact: There is an country that is very next to line that divides the day (I forgot the name).
So, ONU decided to make it 1 day AFTER the other countries.
They are in 21/12/2012
They're still alive
They survived the end of the world
So I can too
I have no idea on what day it will happen but I know we are in the season.
I warn all unbelievers to get on board the ark immediately.
That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
37 But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
38 For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark,
39 And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
40 Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left.
41 Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left.
42 Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come.
This is not true... From day one. There is no way that this conspiracy is true. I'm not saying it's not possible, but I myself think it is a load of crap. And how do Mayans know that the world is going to end.
It better not end... I will get my alienware computer the 25th...
Why. Why!WHY! The world is ending and all you care about is a crappy Alienware??
OT: Tomorrow's gonna be a fun day. We're going to christmas church so we'll probably be hearing lots of apocalypse BS.
Just an interesting note with the help of our friend, Wikipedia:
An apocalypse (Ancient Greek: ἀποκάλυψις apocálypsis, from ἀπό and κaλύπτω meaning 'un-covering'), translated literally from Greek, is a disclosure of knowledge, hidden from humanity in an era dominated by falsehood and misconception, i.e., a lifting of the veil or revelation, although this sense did not enter English until the 14th century.
The concept is Greek in origin and filtered through the lens of Christianity. It's not a Mayan concept. They had no idea what an apocalypse was until they were slaughtered by the Spanish conquistadors, a world ending tragedy for the Mayans that they never saw coming. Today, Mayan descendants know what an apocalypse is, but only because they're now Catholic. Even then, it doesn't mean what many people think it means.
