Hmm. I'd first plant many more coconut trees, while living off the existing ones. Me and my partner would be able to produce 1 child a year, which would make for a good workforce, until we had about 8. We would start building shelter and planting new food. Eventually we would have a prospering mini-society that would be sustainable for us.

How do you know she won't die from the stresses of 8 babies in 8 years (being pregnant all the time, pretty much) or during childbirth?

Maybe one child every two years would be more manageable for us both. And in case of death during childbirth, I'd have to live with the existing children and find a more sustainable way.
